7 Hermanos

First time in. Had heard about from friends. All in all very good based on the entrees. Service was a bit behind the power curve but the food makes up for it. We will certainly be back.

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the Tri Cities! They have a salsa bar, amazing burritos, amazing enchiladas poblanos and excellent service. 5 stars!

Let me start off by saying I don’t normally like the Americanized Mexican food in the area. When this place opened I was in no hurry to try it out, expecting it to be just another Amigos or El T’s (El Charolais if you aren’t local!). I went with a group of girl friends and our experience from start to finish was perfect! The food was prepared exactly as we asked, the free salsa bar was not only stocked and clean, but also delicious, and my favorite part… The service! The waiters there are extremely kind and attentive, and we immediately felt comfortable asking them questions and opinions. The next time a few of us came back, the staff immediately recognized us and greeted us warmly. I have been back several times since, and even though I moved across the country I always make a point to stop in and grab a bite to eat when I’m in town — and they always have my favorite salsa waiting on me when I do. Go, you won’t regret it!

The menu here is large like most Mexican restaurants, and I ordered the Picoso Pollo. I expected it to be similar to dishes I’ve ordered at other restaurants, but it wasn’t at all like I expected. I was super frustrated at how tough my chicken was, along with the fact that it was just one large piece of chicken under the vegetables and was really hard to cut. I was probably just being lazy, but I’m used to having the chicken already cut up into chunks and tenderly cooked and smothered in cheese and veggies. However, once I finally got it cut up a little, I could mix it with the veggies and rice and make my own little burritos and it was delicious.
I would definitely return here and was glad to see quite a few other diners since this location never seems to keep a business for long. Also, there are currently coupons for this restaurant on the back of Kroger receipts. $ 4 off of a $ 20 bill. Not bad!

The food is fantastic. Lots of flavor without being overly spicy unless you want it that way. Customer service is top notch!

Love this place! Fun atmosphere, great service and fresh delicious Mexican food. We eat here weekly and have greatly enjoyed all our entrees. We love putting the pineapple salsa from the fresh salsa bar into our main salsa dip. Yummers! Highly recommend!

Been there about four times and each has been excellent. The food is great and so is the service. Their guacamole is wonderful.

Ok so started with chips and salsa as usual but amazing how much better with all the salsa choices then for the meal decided on the half pineapple with steak chicken and vegetables in it and omg amazing can’t begin to describe how good it is I’ve been to Mexico and I can say this is close to authentic without going to Mexico you will find in Johnson city highly recommend this little place over any other Mexican restaurant in town definitely will be a return customer

We had dinner at this restaurant tonight and it was not at all a good experience.
Seating was prompt but after bringing our drinks, the server said he’d be back in a few minutes to take our orders. Fifteen minutes later and he hadn’t returned — we asked for another server to take the order… he returned with the food promptly.
The food was very bland — almost tasteless.
We’re surprised at the 4 star rating for this restaurant. There are definitely better Mexican restaurants than this in JC.

Had lunch on a weekday — not too busy. Quick cordial service. Clean tables and seats, pleasant atmosphere. Nicely decorated, pleasant Latino style music.
Salsa is very good, slight delayed kick with plenty of cilantro and nice onion chunks. Chips were fresh and not too thick. Had #1 lunch. I take the coating off the pepper to save some carbs — pepper was cheese-​stuffed and cooked just right — very good. Beef taco had an unusual taste for the beef.- not one of my favorites. Guacamole salad was simple with nice helping of guac, which was good. Beans were a nice consistency — nothing outstanding about them. But good. Would definitely return to try other oferings.

There’s a reason 7 Hermanos has a five-​star rating here on Unilocal.Because they have terrific food and service! The staff is friendly, professional, and patient (very important for families with small kids).
The food is fantastic, a very noticeable notch or two above any other Mexican restaurant in this price range. And speaking of the price, it’s just right. Great value for the money.
Even though it’s on the opposite side of town from us, it’s been worth the drive every time. Highly recommended.

Service can be painfully slow — I was ignored for 15 minutes after being seated; had the restaurant been busy I could understand, but with more staff sitting around than tables seated, waiting this long to be asked what you want to drink just isn’t acceptable.
The food is OK, but just OK. They seem to be afraid of seasonings — even a little salt would do the food wonders. While the presentation isn’t bad, the flavor is about as authentic as Taco Bell.
The décor, while not authentic, is bright and fun — so there’s at least something to be impressed by. If you’re hungry, have plenty of time, and aren’t too concerned about having really good food, it’s not a bad choice.

Wow! This has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in JC, and I’ve tried almost all of them. The staff is friendly and offer great service. The food is amazing, but the best part is dessert. The tres leches is TO DIE FOR!

Another awesome meal. Food is the best and the staff superb. Looking forward to the next visit and many more to come. Don’t miss out on this truly wonderful Mexican dinning experience. Prices are very reasonable. And you get more than your moneys worth. Try it you will love it.
