Worst catered event I have been too. The food was cold. Chicken was ok, beef was tough, small portion of mashed potatoes and green beans

What a beautiful hotel. The lobby is stunning. The staff is very cordial anf welcoming. The bed was vee y comfortable and the room was very clean. I wish the kitchen was open longer for room service. We got there very late. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and would like to come back soon.

I was in town for business and this hotel was recommended by the locals, and with good reason! I was pleased with every aspect of my stay, from the front desk staff and their local recommendations to the cleanliness of the room and its amenities. I loved the separate stand up shower and how large the king room was. Also, the Wi-​Fi was free and FAST. As someone who travels a great deal, this was far and away my favorite stay in the low/​moderate price range. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I travel to Johnson City.

Huge bathroom ! Clean and nicest place you will get for the area (college town). Staff assigned to room were awsome ! The front desk staff were great too. Would stay there again.

No pool, but great ammenties and friendly staff. Very spacious room and nice attention to period details and furniture. Very clean and no issues for us. Parking was easy. We dined out that night so I can’t comment on F&B.

After seeing the photos and reading the reviews, I assumed there was a large soaking tub in the room. I was disappointed, although the shower and the tub are separate spacious and clean, I was looking forward to a soaking tub after a six hour drive in a hot truck with no AC. The Shampoo and conditioner in the room had a awful smell to it and the bar soap left my skin dry. We had a King room on the fifth floor, there was no view but again the room was clean, the furniture was well kept, and it was spacious. I felt it was over priced the décor was nice but the experience left me wanting more.

It’s a beautiful old property which is quite worn and could definitely use an update. We loved the high ceilings and «antique» furniture. We were the first at the pool in the morning and the entire pool area was a mess from the day before with trash on the ground and dirty towels strewn about. The location could not be more convenient. At $ 140 per night I guess it was okay. We found the beds to be quite comfortable. Of course I loved the large bathroom.

Beware booking this hotel on Orbitz — you might see a rate of $ 87, but that’s actually for government employees only. If you book it and do not have government employee ID, you might get a lot of hell about it at check-​in, and offered the proper rate ($ 20 – 30 more). Read the fine print. Otherwise, this hotel is very fine, with the drawback of not having an indoor pool for use in the colder months.
