This place is the dirtiest place I have ever ate at in Johnson City. The staff is rude… never going back

I am giving Golden Corral a four star rating not because I think the food is the best but it is a very good value and the couple of times I have eaten here I was impressed by a few things.
Employees and their attitude toward customers is everything in the service business. One employee I have allot of respect for is the cook that was responsible for my omelet — you could tell he took pride in cooking good food and had a great attitude. Every Time I have been back he had the same glad to serve you smile and hello. Made me feel welcome and told me how much pride they have in cooking fresh food — granted it is only as fresh as how often it is brought to the buffet but I avoided anything that did not look fresh and at night they cook steaks to order and they are decent quality.
When you enter you pay in advance and I recommend you look for coupons to save off of the fixed price fair. The cashier gave a nice greeting and explained how everything worked. They have table servers that take away dishes and give you new ones and even will refill iced tea — I made sure that I left a tip — I had the feeling that they many times don’t get one.
Overall I would say it is a good value — the desserts were fresh and tasted good. I can see if you arrive at the wrong time the cashier line can be long and the food might not be as fresh but I found this location to be pretty decent and a good value with a coupon.

The food could be fresher, I have been to Golden Corral a lot of time but this one has bad food it’s almost like they had it sitting out all day,

Actually pretty good, fried chicken was better than the real chicken places. Great selection of food, plenty of choices. We stuffed ourselves silly, as you should at buffets. Even our picky 11 year old ate a lot… desserts included!

Lots of selection if you want just a dollop of this and a spoonfull of that. It’s buffet style, so if you want to go whole hog, you can do that, too. Not the best quality food, but pretty good for buffet style. I’m not sure what the purpose of cotton candy is in this setting, and that chocolate fountain is just completely unappetizing to me. If you want a buffet place with no particular theme and don’t mind spending $ 10 – 12, then GC is your place.

I like Golden Corral better than Ryan’s. They are usually cleaner, more choices, and better choices. They still mange to attract some interesting people, so it’s fun to people watch here.
