What I don’t know how this place got any good reviews, locals must have no taste buds lol I had a Stromboli and was under cooked and tasteless. If you are star in this would work otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this place.

salad was unsatisfactory(minimal items on salad; lettuce, tomato, onion and a few cucumber slices). Bottom of calzone was difficult to cut through/hard, On line menu prices are different(lower) than actual prices charged in the restaurant. Garlic knots had little flavor.

Amazing Stromboli! Staff was awesome and never let my glass get below half way and they were super busy. I enjoyed watching them throw pizza crust in the air. Parking lot is small and parking can take a but but well worth the wait!

Pizza tastes old and garlic knots had 0 flavor. Service was almost as bad. Won’t be back.

This is the best NY style pizza in Johnson City hands down!!! The staff are all really nice and if you grab a seat in the back at the bar you can watch all the fun of making great NY Style pizza. The quality is extremely high not just of the pizza but the calzones are the bomb as well. Watch for the specials they have throughout the week like Monday $ 1 slice which is a great deal but as you can imagine it gets really busy. The lunch specials are a really good deal here as well but most days expect to be there an hour because they get very busy. and they make everything except slices to order. The calzones take the longest of all the dishes but are so worth it. The subs are very good as well. For the price and quality this place is a great deal. I am really impressed that I was able to find a slice of NY in JC. I have never had a bad meal here.

Delicious! We had Greek salad and a medium pizza. Both are excellent! Pizza was crunchy outside and soft inside. Cheese was melted and yummy. Service was good. There were a lot of customers.

Good service but pizza though crunchy was simply too bland in sauce and too thick of crust for my taste. I could not taste any spices except pepperoni in the Italian Special(pepperoni, green pepper, too finely ground sausage, onion) –pizza sauce should have something besides tomato. Points for treating a customer well. Will hit Luke’s in future.

Love the one in Kingsport but the new one at the pinnacle fells greatly in comparison. Their pizza taste like chefboyardi out of the box. But Kingsport is great I recommend it

We are very particular about pizza. We ordered a medium pizza just to try it. Very pleased with everything! No grease puddles on top, no burnt bottom or edges like many pizza joints in the area are notorious for. As always, my review would not be complete without a thumbs up for cleanliness.

Pizza was very much to my liking, service was good and of course the draft beer was ice cold. I believe we will go back for another try.

Average pizza here. Both sliced and ground italian sausage is a plus. First time here several months ago was better. Dont know if they’ve changed the dough to something thick or what, but I’ll probably look for something else next time I’m in Johnson City.

Ok we’re fortunate to have a handful of really good pizza joints in town and Bruscos is the best if you want to order by the slice. It’s really casual, almost like a neighborhood bar, with great spicy pie. Not a place to catch the game, the tvs are small and hard to see from most seats. The feta cheese dip is unique and tasty. Real Canadian Bacon, a variety of sausage options, and like any real pizza joint, anchovies are available. Seriously, the anchovy litmus test is a good pizza rule of thumb. No anchovies… pizza isn’t any good. But, I digress. I don’t know anybody that doesn’t like Bruscos. You’ll dig it too.

Good New York style pizza — all fresh ingredients and the sausage and pepperoni were not greasy. The garlic knots were also very good. Good prices, good service, and good food — I’ll be back.

I am very tough on pizza as you can see in my Louisville reviews. I have passed this place every time I have come to town and finally decided to give it a shot. The hallmark of a good NY style pizza is a thin, crispy yet chewy crust and just the right balance of sauce. Johnny Brusco’s nails it. I ordered a cheese slice and a slice with spinach and artichokes. The slices were generously sized and the ingredients fresh. I was really impressed. Next trip to Johnson City– I will be back.
