Somewhat echoing the last review, but their Mongolian Beef is exceptionally flavorful and tender. I got an order to go and it was 2 good meals for me. We lived in Johnston 9 years ago and frequented China Café then, and the quality is still as good as it was then.
Since we left Johnston we moved to 2 other parts of the country and have not found Chinese food as consistently good as we get here. Nothing fancy inside, but clean and tidy.

This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. I love the Mongolian Beef… the meat is nice and tender and so flavorful. The lunch special is a great value.

Lunch was good today– nothing pretentious about this place, rather the definition of a quick and easy lunch experience. The shrimp dishes we had were fresh with fresh veggies and the rangoons were piping hot out of the fryer. I would not call anything on the menu «daring» or outside of the norm for ‘cheap chinese food’, so you probably don’t need a menu to order and they will likely have your favorite dishes at your table in no time. If rated on the scale of being an authentic, inexpensive, traditional ‘americanized’ Chinese food restaurant, they are 5 stars!

Expensive for what you get and had very little taste. I got a general tsos chicken. The meal comes with one egg roll and it was 11.40. Plus they are closed on Sunday. I will properly never go back even though it’s down the street.

Best hot & sour soup anywhere. Friendly and quick service with great food. Known for lunches but dinner is quiet and terrific.
