I loved the color I got done here, but I still felt the price was steep. Katy(who didn’t do my color) is super sweet and worked with my crazy schedule to make sure I got in before going home to Texas. I’m going back to her for my cut. I saw two clients she did while I was waiting and they came out adorable.

Love this place! I’ve been to other places to get the ombré effect hair style and it never looked good. But DEE rocked it!!! If you go here get your hair done there go to her: D

**this review is not for the salon as a whole, but instead for a particular hairstylist** I made an appt with Lauren(found her off of fb), and the way it started off, I should’ve just walked out. I showed up 3 mins late for my appt, recognized Lauren was the stylist right in the front and she never aknowledged me. Instead she proceeded to finish up with a client(that I later found out she squeezed in real quick to do, no biggie) but a quick acknowledgment of «I’ll be with you in one second» or anything for that matter instead of just letting me stand there and look like an idiot while intentionally ignoring me was not right. After she finished up her client and wrang her up, she finally glanced my way like I was no longer a ghost, and introduced herself. She than proceeds to stay sitting behind the cash register/desk and gave me what I guess she thought was a consultation. Never in my life of all the years of going to a salon has someone given me a hair consultation while sitting behind a desk while I stand. Crazy! This is where I wish I would’ve just declined and left the salon. So, I had at this time two toned hair(think Cruella Deville) one half was blonde, and the other half was a faded red which was looking copper at the time(not everyones taste, but to each their own ;-)). I had told her I wanted the blonde side roots to be touched up and toned, as well as the red sides roots done with refreshing to the ends. Simple I thought? Wrong! I guess having two toned hair confused her or made her nervous but she kept asking me the client how she should do the roots. I told her they normally bleach and tone it since its so dark, she than said she had something that would work and would lift it just as much as bleach but less damaging. I told her I wasn’t familiar with Paul Mitchell colors so go ahead and do whatever she wanted since she’s the expert. Ugh! Wrong again! She also failed to cover up my grey hairs since she never let it sit at the roots first before running it through to the ends, instead she went roots to ends and sure enough it didn’t develop enough to cover them. But again she is the«expert» and should know that right? The whole time she was doing my hair she complained about how much hair I had, mind you I ALWAYS warn stylists that I have a lot of hair since I know it effects their scheduling as well as just as a courtesy. She kept joking about it so much that not only did I feel uncomfortable but she made me feel bad. Welp, its time to rinse my color out and while she’s rinsing my hair she convinces me I need a hair cut so bad. I told her before making the appt that I did NOT want a hair cut since I have had so many bad experiences in the past. She insisted and said she would do it without charging(which was never the issue) and that I really needed at least the ends trimmed up. So I gave in, BIGMISTAKE! After finishing up at the rinse bowl, she takes me back to her station. I looked at my hair and it was so obvious how gold my roots were and how they didn’t blend. It was awful! She assured me it would look lighter after she blow dried it. Well on to the hair cut, I told her do not, and I mean do not make any new layers in my hair. She said don’t worry she wouldn’t. I am not even kidding you when I say this girl hacked my hair. She literally took a obvious chunk out of my hair. Needless to say I was so unhappy with my hair color and hadn’t even noticed yet how bad the haircut was until I went home. She even had the nerve to lecture me at the end before ringing me up that I should have explained myself better on how I wanted the blonde roots touched up. I mean the nerve of her! She couldn’t even take ownership and admit she f*cked up and that I should come back for a redo or something! I ended up calling the next day because once I saw how bad my haircut was there was no way I was going to let that go. I spoke with the salons asst manager and told her I wanted it fixed but was not going to go back with Lauren. She ended up fixing my hair and repeatedly apologized about how bad it looked. She said she even asked Lauren when I left if I was okay cause she could tell I was upset leaving the salon and Lauren apparently lied to her and said yea I was happy with it. When the asst manager saw how bad the haircut was, she was shocked. I told her thats mainly why I came back, because the hair color I could’ve fixed myself no big deal(granted I lost out on money for it) but there was no way in heck I could fix my hair cut that was missing a chunk of hair. Throughout the haircut she started apologizing on behalf of Lauren again, and I was thankful she realized I was not just some customer that was complaining, but in fact truly had a horrific hair experience. So with that said, if you are thinking about going to this salon go to their asst manager or anyone else. just not Lauren unless you want the possibility of having a hair disaster like I did.
