The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, water pressure is awesome, free wifi, cable/flat screen hdtv, and complimentary breakfast. The only con is it doesn’t have a gym, but there one within walking distance. Great value for this hotel. I am here TDY and googled this place and based on the negative reviews I was considering changing my reservation, glad I didn’t.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house keeping staff were very courteous and helpful. I absolutely love the idea of having the trash bins out till a certain time of day. Every hotel should do this. We’ve pcsd three times and stayed in IHG hotels in three different locations. This locations is by far the best. Love the cleanliness, the rooms and love the cleaning staff.

Clean, comfortable king room in the main building. The ground level had an uninspiring view of the parking lot. Good water pressure and shower head with multiple settings. Small kitchenette area with cook top, mini fridge, microwave and sink. Continental breakfast is in the main building only so if you are in the other building you’ll need to walk outside to the main building. Breakfast options include packaged oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, toast, cereal and some fresh fruit. Great customer service.

This place is run by IHG, same company as Holiday Inn. Pretty nice as far as in base facilities go. Having said that, try not to get into BLDG2110, the rooms are renovated, but the vanity and the door are competing in the small space. It’s crammed in there. Also in that BLDG, at least, the mattress leaves much to be wanted. on the plus side, it is in he middle of everything and there couldn’t be a better place in the base for the lodging to be. The new main lodging hall is really nice. The breakfast is a little below the standard holiday inn fare.

Stayed while visiting my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. Excellent facility. Very clean. Staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. The included continental breakfast was very good. Other than hot cereal and toast and bagels, no hot food. Room was big with small kitchenette(fridge, two hot plates, microwave, other small amenities). Bathroom was clean and modern. And here’s a big one: Great WiFi! There’s ethernet connection which we didn’t use but they seem to have multiple WiFi spots to connect to and they were fast and stable! This is huge! Most hotels even in great hotels have really crappy wifi. Since our son’s place was within walking distance this was especially convenient for us. Quiet place. Even the other customers there are great. Left my sunglasses in the lobby and they were turned in. Note that housekeeping on the weekend is on an «by request» basis. You just need to ask for it on Friday. We didn’t bother. It’s not near anything except for what’s on base but freeway is close and easy to get on to get to Tacoma etc. Highly recommended if being on the JBLM base is available for you. BTW, we stayed in the newer multi story building.

Exceptional customer service all the way around! From reservations to check in to night staff to the breakfast lady to the handyman. Everyone is so pleasant and happy to see you. They aren’t the people who hate their jobs here. The place is kept is nicely, rooms and lobby area are newer and clean. Outside is ok but we weren’t hanging out, it was hot and we weren’t here to lounge around. Very busy, very nice spread for breakfast in the morning. The woman works hard keeping everyone fed and things full, if something’s empty give it 30 seconds, it’ll be full again. Girls at the front desk have all been super helpful under our circumstance needing to be here. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks SO much!

The Rainer Inn at Lewis McChord Base was fabulous. The room has awesome amenities including fridge, stove, microwave, sink, silverware and a mixer. The bed was so comfy and they even offered firm and soft pillows that were labeled. The cost was only 85 $ with all the taxes. Great place to stay.

Visited Fort Lewis on business last month and booked the Rainer Inn. Lucky enough to get into the new multi-story building. An associate booked a room and got the old lodging, which he didn’t care for. My room had a separate bedroom, kitchen, microwave, and full sized refrigerator. Both rooms had a flat screen TV&DVD players. It was pretty much everything I want in a hotel. The breakfast was very basic– continental with no hot foods. There is no fitness center on-site, but one of the post gyms is only a couple of blocks away. There is only one small elevator in the building, so I would prefer to stay on a lower floor next time. I enjoyed my stay and would plan on coming back to the Rainer Inn again!
