Chicagoland Speedway

Been going to Chicagoland since it opened in 01 great place to catch a race.

Second update: I was able to scour the internet and found a package that works for us, and called the supervisor to book it. Again, gone are the days where they offered packages that would fit our needs best. However, booking was a simple process and appreciated the assistance. Averaging out my prior 5-​star experience and 1-​star experience, this is now a 3-​star review.
Unfortunately I have to update my review. I purchase tickets for my son and our extended family to go to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase each year, and it’s always been a pleasant experience. The prior staff had been extremely helpful and used to help me choose the best packages for my needs. However, it appears that the staff had turned over, and now with a girl that started working there since June that replaced Lisa and another supervisor that replaced Chris. All I got was attitude from the new girl, and while the supervisor tried to help, everything is run differently this year. The only package they have is run through Groupon and they don’t even assign you seats when you purchase — you’ll find out after you’ve paid and get mailed tickets. Looks like we’ll be purchasing everything separately this year just so we can choose our seats and paying double what we had in the past. After this experience, this is going to our last year attending. 1-​star.

I’m kinda torn about the Chicagoland Speedway. On one hand it’s just a bunch of cars driving around really fast. But on the other hand, well, I got nothin’.
As race tracks go it’s clean, decent food options, clean restrooms, and a good view from any seat (looks that way at least, I didn’t actually try *every* seat). Why only 3 stars then? The parking is strangely far from the track, the security people effectively stole my brothers swiss army knife, and it’s kinda pricey for tickets.
If you enjoy watching nascar then you’ll most likely have fun at Chicagoland Speedway. If you don’t like watching nascar then why are you reading this review?

One of Joliet’s seemingly best kept secrets is the Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series at Route 66 Raceway. There is something for every race fan, even those of us who prefer «Ovals!» Lots of great local talent from high schoolers to seasoned «old timers!» Racing everything from snow mobiles, motorcycles, stock, pro-​stock and dragsters. It’s a fun series and a enjoyable way spend the day at the track.
