9:30 pm and upon my arrival, I asked the front desk if the restaurant was open. He really didn’t lift his head, but responded the lounge is closed on Sunday. I asked what can he recommend. His reply: the only thing open is a McD or a Wendy’s. I pulled my Unilocal app out and found a Longhorn down the street. Southern hospitality, where? Too lazy to mention it. He forgot to recognize my status give, me my two bottles of water. It gets better, second day, I get to the hotel to find a black beetle in my bathroom. I got to the front desk spoke to a nice lady, made mention of the incident and asked if they can extra clean the bathroom the next day and not to worry that I had squashed the bug. Later that evening as I was lying in bed another beetle decides to join me, i was mortified. I was changed to another room immediately, one night comped but couldn’t fall asleep after that. I’ve stayed here many times and it’s been good, but this time I was utterly disappointed.

I have no problem with getting my room. The front desk person was great. However, I have a big problem with TV repair man came into my room while I was taking a nap. I did not hear him knocking at all. All of the sudden a guy opened the door and walked in. This really pissed me off.

This is the ONLY place to stay in Jonesboro. Southern hospitality is on display everyday with the welcoming staff. My family of 6 stayed three nights and couldn’t have been happier. Breakfast is up to the usual Hilton high standard. Staff are outgoing and were very kind and generous to my kids(note: I have four kids all under 10 so we ran the place!). Room was clean and quiet. We stayed in a queen suite and will probably do the same next time we are there. Centrally located with easy access to the main roads.

Southern hospitality was great. I ranked it just okay because the pillows were ‘extremely’ soft and the shower didn’t work. My husband and I had to take baths. That’s really more of our fault, then the hotel, because we should have gone down to the front desk to get a room change, however, we had already unpacked some of our bags and it was late in the evening. There is also not a ‘complimentary’ breakfast. For the price I paid, I expected a complimentary breakfast.

The Hilton Garden in Jonesboro Arkansas is one of the nicest hotels in the area. It is more expensive than other hotels but you can’t beat the comfortable beds. Plus it has all the amenities you may need.

Stayed here with a group of people(three rooms) in May 2012. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The staff, the furnishings, the cleanliness — everything is as it should be in a hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn Jonesboro may cost a bit more than other hotels in the area(and there are plenty to choose from). I would recommend choosing HGI — you won’t be disappointed. The free wireless, made to order breakfast, room service, sitting areas inside and out, indoor pool, ample parking, and superb front-desk staff make this hotel ideal for your stay in Jonesboro. Highly recommended

This is Definitely not your typical HGI. I know most business travellers(like myself) welcome the uniformity of these chain hotels. I never have to guess where the front desk, elevators or breakfast is(and this is about as much as I see of a typical HGI. But I give this location 5 stars because of two things: Awesome staff and Nice décor. Most of the HGIs look like they were decorated by Norman Rockwell of the Saturday Evening Post. This one has a chic, hip feel to it. Not quite on the level of a aLoft or W Hotel, but definitely a step in that direction. Second, the hotel front desk went above and beyond being friendly and helpful — and I didn’t have any complaints before they did. They recommended local dining establishments, were more than generous with the waters(Diamond members normally get two free waters, they said it is so hot outside that we should take three!) The next morning, we forgot our breakfast coupon in our room — no problem. They verified our status and voila — no hassle!

Beds were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. Shoebox sized rooms. Cheap linens and thin walls.

The lobby is nice enough and inviting. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequate, pretty standard for a Hilton property. A couple negatives: My toilet never seemed to stop running. The shower is like a puzzle. It took me 5 mins to figure out how to switch to the shower setting…

This property is nice and I’d say it’s the most upscale hotel in the Jonesboro area. I called prior to heading over to the hotel to see if they had any rooms available(it was a last minute decision to stay in Jonesboro) and I was on hold for 3 or 4 minutes(but not actually on hold, they just set the phone down, so I could hear everything)… not ideal, but not a deal breaker. They did have space and their quoted rate was $ 109 a night. As someone accustomed to using priceline and getting 4 – 5 star hotels for this rate(or less, generally), I was a little sad that it was so expensive and there is no priceline name your own price service in that area. BUT… we were tired and didn’t much care. The hotel is surprisingly nice and modern… the check in process was a little longer than I would have liked(the woman behind the desk indicated she was new). I was sick and she asked if we had a floor preference and my reply was that I just wanted a room that was close to the elevator. She gave is the first room, right their on the first floor. SWEET! Our room was pretty standard for a hilton… modern, nice colors, and spacious. The granite countered bathroom as new and nice. I would have given the hotel 4 stars but the beds, suck. They have the Garden Sleep System beds. One of the most comfortable beds you will ever experience — providing the perfect balance between comfort and support. They claim the following: * This revolutionary bed is created from a system of air baffles and flexible wooden slats. * The system contours to your body by displacing air based upon your weight and shape. * On each side of the mattress we have provided a dial so that you can adjust the firmness of your mattress to be the most comfortable for you. I claim this: * This bed is hard and not at all what I expect from this caliber of a hotel. * It feels like you’re sleeping on a bean bag, you know how you get stuck? I tried the firmer setting and it was like sleeping on an uncomfortable floor with crappy carpet. * The dial is hidden under the sheet, in Velcro. It’s a dial… and again, it’s not comfortable. One of the things I love about nice hotels… is the amazing beds I’ve gotten a great night’s sleep on and Hilton usually has wonderful beds… sadly, this new mattress that they’re now using is not a win. It was so bad, in fact, I would avoid staying at a Hilton Garden Inn in the future. At the end of the day, this is the only nice hotel in the area, so if you’re in Jonesboro this is really the place to stay.

This new property does a great job demonstrating that upscale and friendly go hand-in-hand. After making our reservation, I was called the day before our arrival. A large group was staying in the hotel and they were needing to make changes to room assignments. We were asked if an upgrade to a king suite would be acceptable. The change was no problem for us, but being pro-active to deal with it before arrival was greatly appreciated. On arrival the staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. The décor while trendy and modern still had a comfortable warmth. The bed seemed rock hard on first touch but I found it to be quite comfortable, my wife disagrees. The hotel offers a small pantry store. Limited but nice selection of items but the real surprise was cost. The items were all very reasonably priced and some items were cheaper than the typical convenience store. We ate breakfast close to the closing time of the small breakfast restaurant. Despite trying to prepare for closing we never felt rushed and service was friendly. The breakfast area offers fruit, cereal, breads and a small selection of hot items. Made to order omelets and Belgian waffles are available. The omelets were hearty and well cooked with a nice selection of items as fillings. The sole disappointment of the entire stay was the Belgian waffle. It tasted more like a Bisquik waffle. A great addition to the local hotel market.
