My husband and I stopped in here for lunch after a friend told us we needed to visit, and so glad we did! The employees were incredibly friendly and the barbecue was amazing! The potato salad was so delicious that I had to keep swatting my husband away because he made the mistake of not getting it for himself. Amazing food! We will be back!

The pulled pork had decent flavor but the portion was inadequate. The plate was dominated by the sides. The order was supposed to be pulled pork with a side of fries but was basically a plate full of fries with a side of meat. The sauces lacked much flavor. They were either purely smoke flavor or simple, unremarkable sweet flavors. Boring. Also, witnessed several health code violations while I was dining here.

I visited Wild Hog based off a referral for lunch. They had signs on the door and counter that they had no brisket because of a supply chain issue. Disappointing for sure, but I appreciated the honesty of the situation. This forced me to try the pulled pork plate instead with beans and fries for sides. Everything tasted great. As I have said in other reviews I believe that BBQ is best judged by the sauce. This is Memphis style BBQ. The sauce is dark brown and sweet at first with a tangy aftertaste. You cannot get a taste like this in Texas.

When you first arrive, you place your order at the counter. The order taker chose to answer the restaurant phone call and told me to please wait. Afterward, the order taker carried on a conversation with someone in another room about whether she should trade places with another employee and was told to stay in place. When it was finally my turn, I ordered a platter of various BBQ meats and was told one of the meats was not finished yet. I decided to order the 4 bone rib plate with slaw and beans. The ribs were fresh and tender and easy to pull off the bone but there was not much of a taste to them. It did not taste bad but did not knock my socks off either. The beans were okay with a hint of molasses and the slaw was not good at all. I will give the place another shot and probably try another dish next time. I judge each new BBQ place I try on their ribs because it is my favorite and these were 2.5 out of 5.

Really really good barbecue. Good flavor, and a selection of sauces. I got the wild hog plate with the pork ribs, brisket, and chopped pork. So good…

The price is right on this restaurant. Had the pulled pork platter with baked beans and coleslaw. Beans were spicy which is fine by me. Pork could’ve been warmer but had a great taste. You order from the counter. Not a sit down, waitress place.

Went for the Monday pulled pork plate special. $ 5 for a plate(+$ 0.39 for sandwich) of delicious pulled pork with cole slaw and 2 sides. The seasoned crinkle cut fries were pretty good, but the potato salad was really something special! Slaw is made in house with a light mayonnaise base, which I prefer over slaw dripping in mayo, and goes nicely with the pork. Would have given 5 stars, but we got to the posted location only to find out that they had just moved to 1700 S Caraway, which was mildly annoying. The location they’re in is great, but the building is kinda run-down, old and unwelcoming. The girl who served us, was very friendly though. Always nice to have employees genuinely care for the establishment. They’d be doing the business a big favor by investing some money in the place.

Wild Hog to us is the best BarBQ in Jonesboro. Their potato salad is better than what I can make! Because Smokehouse is closer to our home we had hoped with its past reputation it would be as good. Wild Hog still wins hands down! Also like the fact you can switch up different BarBQ sauce depending on your mood.

Terrible. Ordered the baked potato with meat… little did I know it was covered in nacho cheese sauce. That is some seriously college drunk food. I took two bites and it ruined my appetite as well as my husband’s. Husband had the sausage plate, was soggy. Thanks but no thanks. As a Texas native this is not bbq.

I have never eaten in the restaurant but we have bought brisket twice so far and both times it has been very good.

Just Alright. So my family brought us here to try out their bbq since it was a new spot since the last time I had visited Jonesboro. Based off the amazing bbq aroma just outside when you pull up to the parking lot, I had high expectations. The customer service was typical Southern hospitality so there was no problem there. However, it took FOREVER for our food to come. My family had already gotten their food and the lady came to me and my bf to tell us it was taking a while because they were making fresh fries. How long does it possibly take to cook fries in a deep fryer?! Finally after we got our food, the pulled pork was good, the slaw was good, the fries were great, and the baked beans were great as well. I was not a fan of the potato salad at all. It left a gritty taste in my mouth. Blech. The brisket was not on point. It seemed a bit bland and dry and not what I would expect from what should have been a juicy piece of brisket. Idk that this would be a place I could call a new fave but I MAY go back and give the ribs a try if I was in the mood for BBQ. I hope this review helps you decide where to have some good ol’ BBQ! :)

Wild Hog BBQ came recommended by a local, and I was not all that pleased with it. It’s very open like a warehouse. It’s almost like a sports bar, but not. You order at the counter like a fast food restaurant, but the server brings you your food. This may be a local thing, but I felt a little off not knowing if I should tip or not. The service was ok, and nothing to really improve upon because it fits the DNA of the place. The food was not very good. My brisket meat was dry and I had to smother it with the sauces. The sauces were very good though, so that was a plus. a collegue of mine got the ribs, and those looked great. I would be willing to give it another try, so I would try those ribs next time I am in the area.
