Bartender was awesome!(I think her name was Meredith?) Asked what her specialty was and got a riff on a long island iced tea. For my second drink, I asked her to try a blood and sand, which she hadn’t made but was game to try. It was delicious as well. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Joplin.

Such a fun atmosphere! Jake is amazing!!! Drinks are yummy, playing poker is an added bonus. The only downside is that it is smoking but overall still a great place

I had no idea this please even existed, until recently and was very impressed. Just a really cool place to relax with friends and have a couple pints!

Love the music & the idea of a speakeasy. Great drink select & the fact you can have a conversation without having to yell at each other. Bartenders know how to make a fantastic drink!

Ended a fun double-date night at the speakeasy. I’ve never been here before, so didn’t know what to expect other than it being a bar. Wrong. The storefront is a red telephone booth, a covert entrance into the hidey hole that is a 1920s-style prohibition era speakeasy. You have to pick up the phone and dial a number and ask for Donnie’s Taxi Service(because, after all, alcohol is illegal), before you get in. Super cute, right? It’s like an accidental theme night you’ve been subjected to. Inside is done up with 1920s décor with period furniture, lamps and curtains. The drink menu has some great martinis and cocktails. Even moonshine cocktails, which I haven’t seen before. There is also a selection of cigars for those so inclined. The only problem I foresee? The long staircase you have to go down to get out. Have you seen drunk people try to manage stairs? Not pretty. All in all, a fun night. Would definitely go back.
