Haven’t had ahi tuna this amazing since Honolulu, it was served Rare with a sesame seed crust. The sauces served with it were a variety of different tastes and heat. The green one was wasabi and holy hot. My husband and I both had leftovers. He ordered the steak Oscar with the lavender vinegarette on salad. We both agreed it was higher priced than we thought but again you get what you pay for. Cheers to the chef!

Great place for lunch. Good service. Out of tuna salad so tried BLT. What a monster sandwich. Guinness on draught is nice touch. Give Kiwi Royal martini some serious thought. Nice to see art displayed from local artists.

Eh. Paid $ 30 for a $ 15 steak that should have been served at Golden Corral. Cold French fries. Overpriced and overhyped.

Yummy fish tacos! The service was outstanding! Wished there were a few more options for light girly beers. Overall highly recommended for the food!

Me and my fiancé went here the night before thanksgiving for dinner and we enjoyed the experience very much. The staff was extremely friendly and our waitress was great, even helped me pick out a wine to drink! I’m not a big wine drinker and honestly wouldn’t know what to get so that was awesome that she recommended one and I enjoyed it. The food was amazing from the appetizer, to dinner, and the Deseret sealed the deal! My fiancé had a tuba special and I had seabass which was just spot on! The desert had my two favorite things peanut butter and chocolate, and it was like a giant peanut butter cup, simply amazing! The waitress did miss quote that scallops came with the special when it actually came with shrimp but she was very apologetic and was more than willing to get my fiancé scallops. Overall it was a great experience and deserves five stars and a visit for a high quality dinner or even a special date night!

So I was going to just let it go and not leave a review for this place being we are in a small town, run a small business in this town, and am subject to bad reviews reflecting negatively on our business. My wife however just leaves honest reviews for each experience she has no matter what I say. She’s a strong headed woman, what can I say? So i said WAS going to let it go. That is until the lovely owner of this establishment decided to leave an owner comment in response and basically call my wife a liar outright. You might be a good cook and you might be a good business man sir but anyone with an ounce of sense would know better than to attack a customer over their opinion. Just unclassy and unprofessional. We paid your establishment for food and service so therefore we have earned the right to criticize or compliment. You have not. Ever hear the phrase«you can kill more flies with honey than vinegar»? Just now on to my review of that night. My wife and I had 2 friends drive up from Dallas Tx to see us. The first night we went to Crabbys for dinner. Being it is an upscale eatery and all, I completely expected to drop $ 100-$ 200 for drinks and such for my wife and I. But for that kind of Money I expect great service and great food. I agree with my wife about the crab dip. There just wasn’t a lot of crab you could see. More dip, less crab. No biggie, might just be a matter of opinion. Now there were 4 of us and my wife’s steak was the only one not cooked right. It was WAY over done for a rare steak. And of course, there is no «we can fix that but it will take 30 min» because then you dont get to eat with the rest of your table. My only real complaint was the slow service from our waitress, Now she was busy but still. At a high end restaurant you don’t expect to have your drink go empty and wait on refills. I spent $ 130 that night, which i don’t mind at all. I just left feeling like I had gotten better service and food from a mediocre restaurant. As my wife said, if you pay $ 30 for a steak, you expect it cooked perfectly and that was not the case that night. So honestly I would have given this place 3 stars before he called my wife a liar. Mind you sir, there were 2 more with us that night whom have opinions as well. Be careful who you attack.

Well as you can see from the owners response that I’m just a Unilocaler that uses a public forum to voice my frustrations instead of tracking him down to complain. Oh and I’m a liar too! I mean, It’s hard to believe my rare steak came out well done and all. No sir, you are in denial if you think what we got for the money that night was worth it at all. Where is I do appropriate the passive aggressive response, I have to politely decline. After all, I’m «just a Unilocaler». I wonder what he thinks of the Unilocalers who leave positive reviews???

This place is AWESOME!!! Thank you fellow Unilocalers! I had a free appetizer by checking in on Unilocal.I ordered the tuna sliders, which were amazing. I then ordered a shrimp and scallop risotto, which was also outstanding. Great little place and very nice. This was definitely the highlight of my Joplin stay. If I’m back in the area, this place is my go to place for every day I’m in town!

Great staff, menu, food, and environment. Large selection of drinks + the best portabella fries I’ve had. Manager + server were both very welcoming, will definitely be coming back in the near future.

It was my first time here. The food was really good. Portobello mushroom appetizer was killer. Seafood chowder was filling and delicious. I had the blackened salmon, and it was very good, and rich. Service was good and attentive. I will definitely will come back when I am in the area.

Had a great time at Crabby’s. The bartender was awesome(Ryan)! He was super helpful when assisting me with picking out something to eat. He recommended the crab cakes for an appetizer. I wasn’t to impressed with the crab cakes. I’m from the south so I’m pretty picky about them so I should have probably not even tried them. Ryan then recommended the sea bass for my entrée. OMG, it was phenomenal!!! I have never tasted a Chilean sea bass cooked to perfection the way they did. Completely made up for the crab cakes. They also have a great happy hour. We stayed for awhile! Recommend this place 100%!!!

Good seafood in Joplin? — DAMNRIGHT! If we lived in the Joplin area, this is where I would bring the wifey(the ultimate crab cake judge of the universe) on a date night out. Good bar too.

Great food! Sometimes wish the sauces they use were a bit richer, but nothing to complain about. Everything that we’ve had so far is worth the trip.

LOVELOVE Crabby’s!!! Our Anderson Glass business is a little over a block away east. I’m always proud to send out of town customers there to eat. I get the same response every time. «Walk was nice and the food was just like you said! Excellent.» It is pricy, but when it’s so good and consistent, it’s worth it. That’s the only complaint I’ve ever had from one of my customers. So I handle it this way, I tell them it’s pricy but so worth the food and experience. Always works!

Had the most AMAZING lunch and WONDERFUL service at Crabbys. The Thai Shrimp and the Lump Crab mac & cheese was EXCELLENT! Where else could you get such good food at such a great price? Forget the tired chain restaurants… experience really really SUPERB food, service and atmosphere

We finally made it back to crabbys it has been way too long since we were here. We love this place and the service. Both got ribeye steaks and lobster bisque and then added in the pound of Alaskan king crab legs. Those legs were the best either of us have ever had. Huge portions. The steaks were seared perfectly. One of the few places we’ve been that can make a better steak than me. Hats off to the chef and our server named Lucas.

Went here on a Saturday for my father-in-law’s birthday dinner. We had a party of 5 and made an early reservation the day of for 5:30. The restaurant is easy to miss when driving by because they have a tiny sign on the same pole as a grocery store and the sign on the building is a «C». I have to admit it was in an odd part of town and from the outside looks a bit like a dive bar, but I was pleasantly surprised when walking through the doors. The interior is small and intimate with dim lighting and a classy atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion. Our table was ready for us when we arrived and we received great service all evening. Two of the party ordered drinks from the bar and each time they were brought out quickly. For an appetizer we had the fried calamari and crab and gouda cheese dip with tortilla chips. They were both delicious! The calamari was tender and perfectly fried and was served with cocktail sauce, which you don’t see much, but I really enjoyed. The cheese dip was very good and several chunks of crab meat throughout. For an entrée I had the blackened Atlantic salmon with roasted cauliflower and a vegetable medley of spinach and cherry tomatoes. The salmon was probably the best I have ever had. I love salmon and after having it at almost every chain restaurant that serves it and being disappointed, I now stick to ordering it exclusively at seafood restaurants. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked to medium so it was still tender and not dried out. The bottom of the bowl had a light lemon butter sauce that just pulled it all together. My mouth still waters when I think about it. Everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and everyone cleaned their plates. We tried the grilled sea bass, chicken roulade, Cajun scallops and shrimp and a aged choice ribeye. Unfortunately we were all to stuff for dessert, but I will definitely be going back next time we are in town.

Want a nice night out without kids, go here! I have had the lobster bisque twice, one time it was awesome and the other it was super thick and not good. For appetizers I recommend the mushroom fries, YUM, and the spinach dip! Both are very tasty! Most of their dishes are very good. The only thing I would steer clear of is the chicken tenders for the kids. Out of 5 orders of them, all 5 orders were over cooked and tough. My daughter loves chicken and wouldn’t eat them! Their signature drinks are also very tasty! and STRONG!
