Oasis Salon & Day Spa

This review is especially for men living in Joplin who are looking for skilled stylists who know how to cut men’s hair. For just over a year now I’ve been getting my hair cut at Oasis whenever I’m in Joplin, mainly by Eric and Daphne. I highly recommend both of them. Both are skilled stylists who are passionate about cutting hair and are careful to understand clearly how you want your hair to look before they start cutting. I’ve literally never left Oasis disappointed after getting my hair cut by either Eric or Daphne.
I want to add that I have had my hair cut by other stylists at Oasis and haven’t been entirely happy with the experience. I think they were probably good stylists, but for whatever reason weren’t able to cut men’s hair as well as women’s. That’s not the case with Eric or Daphne, which is why I always go to them. I’ve also tried other places in Joplin, but no one cuts my hair as well as they do.
For what it’s worth, I travel a lot for work, but I always prefer to get my hair cut here. Not only can I count on a great haircut, Oasis’ prices for a haircut are very reasonable. This is a quality salon with very good stylists.

Had my first ever spa day here. It was so wonderful!!! Everyone I encountered was very friendly and the setting was so relaxing! Everything down to the massage, facial, manicure, and shampoo/​style was so relaxing and enjoyable! Cannot wait to return!

Been going here for several years now. Love it when they have their gift card specials or the package deals. Ladies at the front are friendly. I have not got a haircut here though have visited the spa and also received nails services. With the spa services there are many ad ons to turn almost any spa service into a package deal. Do more combos and you get a better deal. Nice place to relax.

Wow. Got a big gift certificate for Christmas and tried them out. Got a 90 minute massage from Brandon. OMG. He is fantastic. I left feeling like a wet noodle. spent the rest on a cut and color from Ravyn. I spelled it wrong she can live with it. I went in with out a clue and walked out looking like a million bucks. wow. The salon is very well priced. offers some extras like jaccuzi tubs and saunas for free. all I can say is wow

I was in town visiting family and was able to get in for a trim and highlights. Eric did a great job and I love my hair. I’ve never been happy leaving a salon before. I’ll be going back to Oasis the next time I’m in town!

I’ve come to Oasis for haircuts, manicures, pedicures, and a spa day (facial + massage). The girls at the front desk can be a little snobby, which is ridiculous. There’s just no reason for that. However, the actual stylists and technicians have all been very sweet.
The haircuts are very reasonably priced, I’ve paid $ 30-​$ 60 depending on the stylist. If you have a specific price point in mind, be sure to ask when you call to make the appointment. I feel the nail prices are way too high, but that seems to be the standard here in Joplin (somehow the smaller the city, the more expensive mani/​pedi!). If you just want a basic polish change, it’s cheaper than a full pedicure, and nearly the same service: they remove the old polish, cut/​file/​do your cuticles, and repaint with a new color.

I scored a last minute appointment at Oasis today and was so happy with my new haircut! The ambiance is relaxing, the scalp massage and shampoo were amazing, and Chrissy listened to exactly what I was looking for in a new ‘do. Kudos to the Oasis staff… job well done in Joplin!

This is an upscale salon and spa in Joplin, so don’t expect a cheap haircut. However, my experience there was very good (haircut with Nik). The atmosphere is classy and relaxed, and it doesn’t overly smell of chemicals the way some salons do.
I had to wait about 10 mins for my appointment, but the waiting area is very comfortable and you get complimentary coffee, tea, soda, or water, and cookies to snack on while you wait.
If you are looking for a salon to get a good haircut, I would recommend Oasis.

Had a pedicure with Charlie. Amazing! She took her time and really spoiled me. You can have a complimentary beverage and delicious cookie while you are pampered by a delightful staff member. Wonderful experience.

Very disappointed with this establishment. I had a haircut at Oasis a few weeks ago and it wasn’t great but decided to give it one more try with a different stylist. So yesterday I call several times and keep getting put on hold. Not for 30 seconds or 1 minute, but for four or five minutes. I finally get through and they tell me they are booked. I ask them to call me if there are any cancellations. They call me back and said they had an opening. I later find out they squeezed me in between 2 appointments. (could partially explain lack of thoroughness?). Anyways, I’m a guy. My hair is not complicated to cut… Trim the top and use the number 4 guard around the sides. After having to point out some obvious mistakes with the cut, i tip the hairdresser $ 10 on a $ 17 cut and come home. Later I notice that there were patches of hair she missed with the trimmer. Especially in the back which she didn’t show me. They are closed today so I payed for another haircut somewhere else. What pisses me off is that this has nothing to do with skill. It’s just pure laziness and not giving a shit. How hard is it to shave someones head with a trimmer when it has a guard on it??? I don’t know how their spa services are but I would avoid the salon.

Oasis was the first salon in Joplin to be a step above the other salons as far as luxury and service goes. The atmosphere is very classy and relaxed. I have received massages at Oasis in the past. I had a man for my massage and ended up requesting him every time because he was perfect! You get a locker to put your things in. They also recommend you come early enough to sit in the hot tub before, and I always try to do that. I have since started using another place for massages as Oasis was a bit expensive for me to buy them regularly, but I still recommend it for anyone that can afford a splurge!

I used to come here when I was in the area on business for about a year. Brittany Outt was my stylist and she always did a great job.
I highly recommend her and the salon!
