I have eaten in many red lobster restaurants over the years. Normally I get a good tasty meal equal to the price. Red lobster isn’t a restaurant you would go to expecting fabulous food. However, over the years I have received a good solid three star meal with a comparable price. Well then we made the big mistake of eating at the Joplin Red Lobster. The restaurant looks dirty and worn out. Our contact with servers seemed polite enough but the restaurant appeared to be understaffed. Our food was horrible. The steak was tough and not fit for eating and the lobster was mush. Salads were warm like they had been setting out. We barely ate anything on our plates but our waitress never asked about our meal. Just took our almost untouched plates away. We weren’t the only ones that had issues with our meals. Other tables were sending their food back. I complained to the manager and just received a very insincere apology. By the way, the bread was fabulous as always. I just love those biscuits. Unfortunately my experience in That restaurant has soured me in Ted Lobster and I will most likely never eat at a red lobster again.

On a Tuesday night with only half capacity in the restaurant we waited 38 minutes with no water. We finally had to flag down the hostess who got an assistant manager. He took our orders and forgot about our drinks. At the 50 minute mark our salads came out with no beverages. At this point we don’t even have a waitress. Or as they called her our seafood specialist. Mind you we have 5 adults and ordered $ 30 plates a peace. At the hour and a half mark our food came out. Every single order was incorrect. We were missing food, food was undercooked, orders were put in incorrectly and we were starting to lose our patience. There were many apologies along the way but not one thing was done to correct the situation. Obviously the wait staff at all talked about our table because everybody was staying clear of us. We never said anything other than we haven’t been served our drinks. Everything else was their mistakes and they realized what terrible service they were giving us. Our total bill ended up being $ 200. They discounted one meal because it was sent back to the kitchen unedible. For the rest of our suffering they discounted 20% off the entire bill. We go there every year to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. This is by far the worst we have ever seen it. It is poorly managed and the wait staff is terrible. Our experience wasn’t worth $ 50. Long John Silvers would have been a better pick. You got us this time Red Lobster. But never again.

Ugh. Salmon was good and that’s about it. Service was good but the poor woman was bar-tending, expediting and serving. Shrimp app was soggy, and salad was wilted. Should have gone to Waffle House down the street. Would have saved about 20 bucks and could’ve walked from the hotel. I was hesitant to come here because of the bad reviews I read. However, seeing some good ones, I thought i’d give it a try. I gambled and lost.

Expensive laxative. I had Cajun chicken Alfredo. My mother had scampi, one dish had no garlic, we were then told by the non personality waitress«It comes pre made, and frozen, we just heat it! «If I wanted frozen dinners I’d spend $ 3 at Walmart. Its no wonder the shrimp tastes like Rubber in butter. My lands wtf happened to this place Sad.

I most definitely will come back here, I will bring the family. The hole restaurant was was really clean the host was really nice and the waitress was to. I recommendthe New Orleans salmon it was really, really good.

I have been here many times, and I get a little more agitated every time I come here. Last Sunday was the straw that broke the camels back. The restaurant was almost empty, yet there was still an hour wait as they where having staffing issues. I understand that but a least seat the waiting guests and get them some drinks or something. When we got seated the waitress felt like she needed to announce to entire room at the top of her lunges that they where almost out of everything on the menu. Way to make a scene! Ok so red lobster is out of nearly every lobster dish… I guess it’s not a freshly prepared as they make it out to be, and what is the tank of lobsters out the front for? It’s was almost embarrassing to sit there and listen to this woman yell at us. So we finically pick through what was left only to find out they are out of lettuce for salads, and bud light, and some of the other ingredients for their cocktails.

The food is the same yummy goodness you get at any Red Lobster. This particular location is remodeling and is supposed to be finished mid August. The wait staff is super friendly and our server was MORE than helpful and wanted to make sure everything was perfect! Will I go back? Of course! It’s delish!

You know this place needs a little clean up. Hey mister manager guy, instead of walking around showing off your new tie-concentrate on the customers. The table that is right in front odf the kitchen door where all the waiters yell, ‘COMMINGOUT!!!’, is probly not the best place to sit a group of four there to celebrate my friends 65th birthday. And then sit us next to a family that just finished bucking hay with all their screaming half dress rug rats probly wasn’t real smart. And for our waitress to walk up to the table and over the din from the rugs rats behinds us ask if we were ready to order. Who are you? How are you? good evening? COME on food servers!!! Your rent, car payment or next tank of gas might come from the table I am sitting at!!! Great me, look at me when taking my order, ask me If I would like to move tables??? Resturant or fast food joint with table cloths? I think I might have to start going to the expensive joints to get the service I desire. I’m sure the waiters know how to earn the good tips we give out when we leave happy!

Blah. Not a very impressive place. Lighting could be improved because it somehow makes the place a bit«shabby». In need of slight brightening. And it needs to look clean — seriously. A face lift is overdue. Food was a bit salty. Our food attendant was nice and friendly though.

Red Lobster in Joplin is one of the worst I’ve been to. Springfield is also an older, dated building much like Joplin but it’s a lot cleaner and has better service. Joplin Red Lobster is dirty and has consistently terrible service. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are so many better places to dine for less money in the Joplin area. Even Crabby’s is only a few dollars more for better seafood, so why bother with Red Lobster? I don’t know… again, filthy. I expect ripped seats«fixed» with duct tape and lukewarm entrees from some dive diners but not from a so-called seafood restaurant that’s charging $ 17 and up.

Certainly, you cannot expect a life-changing experience at this chain, but in Missouri one just has to be grateful seafood is even on the menu. This Red Lobster had a very attentive staff that was always making sure nothing ran out and keeping the place clean. Despite dining alone, I was offered about seven cheese-garlic biscuits before my entrée arrived. I had popcorn shrimp and fries, with a salad. Popcorn shrimp is probably the least interesting dish offered here and has a tendency to fall apart in the cocktail sauce. The best line I overheard was from another server, who had spent a slow night organizing crayons by color.

Joplin’s only real seafood place that I can think of. The appetizer biscuits are EXCELLENT! The food is great as well. This is our family’s place to eat out for a special occasion.
