Poorest service I have ever experienced. I rarely complain because I know it is a difficult job but when it is blatantly bad then I do. Sent my meal back because the waiter couldn’t bring steak sauce though he made three trips to a table just next to me. Another table next to us was seated after us and received excellent service from a different waiter. Got an apology from the manager and he removed the meal I sent back from the ticket. Too little too late. I won’t be back

Too hungry to take my usual pictures but the salmon with bourbon glaze sauce(Stephanie, our awesome server brought extra!) was AMAZING! Green beans and broccoli rice casserole completed my delicious meal after 8 hours on the road(family vacation!). My mom devoured her chicken fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and green beans and my kiddo loved her French fries and grilled cheese. Quite crowded for a Tuesday night but we were seated almost immediately. My only complaint is the a/c that was blowing on half the table(my side) but baits that’s because it was a balmy 91 when we came in at 7:30. Keep up the great work Joplin Cheddars! You made the end of «Day 1 — drive home» a tasty one!

This location is HUGE– twice the size of the one in Springfield. Still, classic Cheddars with great service, quick table time, and reasonable prices. Great sandwiches, pasta, salads, drinks, everything. Great place to stop in Joplin.

First time trying Cheddar’s while visiting from NY. Overall, a pretty good experience! Started with the Triple Treat Sampler & liked it a lot —(consisted of(mozzarella) cheese bites, potato skins & chicken tenders with dipping sauces). I decided to try something listed under«lighter side», the Grilled Baja Chicken which came with black beans & rice while my boyfriend went for the Chicken Fried Steak. I asked the waitress for the pico de gallo on the side. At that time, she mentioned it would be kind of spicy(meaning the pico de gallo, I thought)?. When I got the meal I spooned a little sauce on & it wasn’t as spicy as I expected. I then tasted just the chicken alone & the seasoning on the chicken itself was quite a bit spicy(to my liking). Besides the(spicy) chicken, the rest was a bit bland. Guess that’s what I get for trying to go lighter… I ate about half anyway & decided to save some room for dessert cause they had a good-lookin’ bread pudding! Oh, by the way, my boyfriend liked his dish a lot!(He skipped the«lighter side»)… The bread pudding, what we could eat of it at that point, was just delectable! It came warm & was topped with ice cream, whipped cream & I think a caramel sauce. — A very happy ending :-) *Just a thought: Portions are pretty big! Would’ve been better to split one dish between us after the appetizer… The service was great! Our waitress was nice & kept checking on us often! The place was pretty packed too so we were very impressed! We’ve been to way less busy establishments & have had really shitty service so… great job/5STARS as far as service goes Cheddar’s… Also, the prices were very reasonable! I almost thought there was a mistake when we got the bill. I had to do a double take! I would definitely try Cheddar’s again in the future when I’m back in town. Next time I will skip the«lighter side» & just go for it!

Once you’ve eaten at one Cheddar’s, you’ve pretty much eaten at them all. Their good is usually good, portions are pretty big and the price is a good value. The service is usually never stellar. It’s not horrible by any means, but, like another person said, they’re not in a rush. You’ll probably have to ask for refills and condiments more than once. If you order a salad, make sure you let them know you want it before your meal.

Typical Cheddar’s you will find across America, big portions low price and good food.

I’ve eaten here once or twice since my last review and I’ve got to say they’ve improved quite a bit. The service was definitely better the last two times than it was any of the few years prior. The food is still very good, and I’m glad to see that the service is coming back in line, too.

The atmosphere was great and the décor inside is beautiful also food was awesome. Only downside was we were seated next to door that leads to the patio and everytimr the door slammed it was annoying and it flickered the light above us also the table is very wobble. My wife finished her drink and the waitress never stopped by to see if we needed anything else after our food got to us, and it wasnt like it was busy we got there around 7

Stopped by on our way bicycling across the country and the manager sand staff were very willing to feed our hungry bodies. The chicken fingers are phenomenal. Fried to perfection, without being soggy or too hard, and incredibly tender white meat on the inside. They also came with a honey mustard sauce that paired perfectly with the chicken. The mashed pota

Good comfort food. I like the chicken tenders and you get a lot of food for the money! The honey croissants are the best. Love the salads. Chicken pot pie is good! Always busy though.

— Atmosphere is kind of like a Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Nice with subtle background dining noise. — Pricing is reasonable. I actually think the prices were far better than I expected to pay. — Portion size is very good for the price paid. You won’t leave hungry. — Restrooms are rather upscale with stone counters. Water pressure is freaky high(read that I splashed water all over the place when I turned the faucet on) — I’ve read other people say the service can be good or bad. Our server was nice and our server did a great job. Service is not snappy, but more relaxed. — the potato soup is wonderful — The croissants are heavenly… Literally after the first bite I heard Angels singing from on high… It could have also been a hallucination brought on by the butter topping goodness. — They have a neat aquarium by the front entrance. Kids were gathered around watching the fish.(Parents, don’t let your kids slap the sides of the aquarium. It’s not good for the fish and just shows you raised werewolves and not kids.) — Salmon was good and well cooked/prepared, however it didn’t have much taste. My wife had tilapia which tasted incredible. — As we were on a mini-vacation we went for the chocolate fudge, cake, ice cream, thingy. OMGANGELS! I heard Angels. and then I passed out. Seriously, it was very very very larger. It can easily feed 2 – 4 people. Do Not order this by yourself. You will O.D. on cake. I am not joking. You may possibly need a 12 step program after this dessert.(See picture) Note: This is my first time at a Cheddars Restaurant. We ate here shortly after the lunch rush. We had a great experience. YMMV

You can never go wrong at Cheddars! Reliably good food at very reasonable prices. Service is attentive and even at peak times there is seldom a long wait!..

Really nice atmosphere that is more upscale than the menu pricing. The food is OK, but many of the items seem generic and cheaply sourced — probably how their prices are a bit lower than average. Cheddars used to be significantly cheaper than other similar establishments but their prices have crept upwards. One thing that has consistently been problematic is service. Sometimes it’s ok, but it’s often unreliable. Overall the food is decent, sometimes above average and it’s a nice atmosphere with decent prices, which is why it’s almost always packed. I like Cheddars but it’s rarely my first pick when dining in Joplin.

Rather pricey soups, I had the potato soup and it was alright. But, by the time I finished the soup I had almost little to no room left for my main entrée. The Alfredo here is a below average. Overall, I got my stomach filled so that’s good.

We have been here twice in the past 4 years and both times was a complete let down. The second time we came my wife’s food looked like it had been picked up off the floor and had hair in it. My red beans and rice tasted like dish soap. It was all horrible. Will never be back after we had to pay full price for what we got after we talked with the staff

Food is pretty good. Had the ribeye and you know how they say good steak needs no sauce. Well it didn’t need it but it was better with sauce on it. Baked potato was reasonable good, menu says loaded but it just had butter, sour cream, and cheese. I don’t consider that loaded. Fries were amazing though.

Lunch today at Cheddars was great. The queso dip with ground beef and tortilla chips was a perfect starter. The grilled chicken pecan salad is excellent. The pecans are glazed which adds sweetness to the salad. Also, the salad is accompanied by a sweet croissant. Service was great.

Key West chicken and shrimp… now that caught my attention! I love Key West and luckily this dish delivered a small slice of yummy! It was seasoned with just a hint of spice and was on a bed of rice. For sides I had the carrots(yum) and mashed potatoes(also yum). Top that off with a sweet tea and you’ve made my day! The wait staff was super helpful and friendly although rather swamped so drink refills were slow. My daughter loved looking at the very bright fish in the fish tank in the waiting area. Definitely give Cheddars a try!

Okay, so I tend to be very harsh on restaurants that serve up a zillion different dishes. And I don’t go to these kinds of restaurants often. But like with the Cheesecake Factory last time, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie, and although it was slightly salty(although I love salty) it was very good. At the same time, it’s pretty hard to mess up veggies/meat and mashed potatoes. And the chicken pot pie another person ordered looked DELICIOUS. I must try those next time, along with some sort of honey butter croissant they have. Like an elderly person, my taste buds and preferences are changing. I used to hate celery and now I’ve probably eaten more this year than the past ten years combined(random, sorry). Stomach and wallet, get ready.
