Stopped in for dinner after a day on the road. Only seems theres one waitress here and the place is packed. Tried ordering an appetizer but… «we’re out of that» Tried to order a cup of soup but…” we’re out of soup too.” Don’t expect anyone to stop by the table to see if you needed anything or bring water. All I can say is we won’t be back

Food was ok. I had the burger. There was only one person attending the customers and they weren’t the nicest. Plus it is not nice to talk about people to other customers loud enough so everyone else can hear you and especially since this is a small town. This all gave me a bad vibe on the place so I will not come back to eat here again.

Stopped by after following grandsons football games. I wasn’t very hungry so I settled for the Thai taco and a stout. Great choice. Tacos were pork with a spicy peanut sauce that hit the spot and the stout washed them down with great flavor. My wife had fish Tacos and the rest of the family had canzone and pizza. Service was good and they made us feel like long time regulars. I will definitely return when I come for the kids baseball games in the spring.

A couple days after visiting this restaurant I looked over my credit card statement and noticed I was charged DOUBLE for my visit. I ate alone and had a quesadilla and an Italian soda… about $ 12 and a decent tip on top of that. I know didn’t tip enough to bring the bill to nearly $ 24 as my statement showed. I think it was a entry error but still — keep your receipt after paying. The servers seemed like they were struggling to keep up with drinks and orders for the reasonable Monday night crowd. The server input my order wrong so the«loaded» quesadilla was just chicken and cheese. Their fix was to bring out a bunch of little cups of mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, etc. Fine but it just made for a cumbersome eating piling that all on top. The food was fine with good portions and there was a lot of variety on the menu. The plates bring brought to other tables looked good. I just wouldn’t return due to the spacey service and credit card issue.

Had beer here a couple times before, but this time had pizza as well. Nice beer selection with some focus on nearby breweries. Yummy pizza, slightly charred, generous toppings, tasty sauce. Very friendly service. Great place to be sitting on a sunny afternoon

A perfect pub for a rainy night of camping. The beer and food was delicious. Only exceeded by the service. The owner Theresa made us feel warm and welcome as if we were locals. The best pub in town.

Ok food with good beer selections. The rice bowl thing was way more rice than other toppings(beware — literally about 4 cups of rice, ½ cup of black beans & chicken). The shrimp tacos were excellent!

Fast service and friendly which brings me here over the years. Burgers are pretty good. Nice craft beer selection. Pizza was not my favorite though. Just crust preference. I tend to like thin crust. My wife likes it your way. Thanks guys! Will be back again and again.

Fun little place with a good selection of beer, wine, and cider. Pizza was awesome and the servers were friendly. You cannot beat the view from their outdoor patio right on the main drag in Joseph.

The menu had a wide variety of what looked like neat and decently creative choices from pizza to burgers to salad. I got the green chili burger and my wife ordered a calzone. My burger was OK, but nothing too special. There was a single, green chili laid on the patty. Flavor was decent. The fries were some of the best I’ve had. My wife’s calzone tasted good, but a large portion of the dough was raw. The tea was brewed and tasted good.

Service was excellent! We had a calzone and Greek salad and it was delicious. Tried their hard cider, best I’ve ever had! Great outside and inside seating. Will be back next time we are in town.

Great selections of craft beer, delicious made-to-order pizza, and stupendous Wallowa Mountain views await at Embers Brew House. It’s an oasis of beer(wine, too), food, and views in a place that you must visit in your lifetime — the Oregon Alps, in the heart of nowhere but in the center of everything that is good in life: honest brews, fresh food, and panoramic views. Also, there are nice people here. That’s not to be forgotten. Friendly without being intrusive or cloying, they welcome you to Joseph with freshly poured pints(think: Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, Big Sky Moose Drool, that sort of thing), an excellent house pizza(the Embers, w/Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, and green peppers ), and an outdoor patio seating area that has million-dollar views. Multimillion, really. Just look up occasionally from your food and beer and you will be wowed. We certainly were. Plus, there were fried pickles. And Swill. Lots of Swill(a 10 Barrel summer brew, an «American Radler»). All in all, a worthy road trip stop, for 4-wheeled or 2-wheeled adventurers. You don’t need to climb Eagle Cap or hike the High Trail in Hells Canyon to appreciate the value of a place like Embers. But it sure helps!
