The most exceptional breakfast place in town. It rivals Seattle and Portland in terms of locally made, unique and fresh menu items. The staff is super friendly. Mandatory stop on your tour of Joseph.

This is the ONLY place we have breakfast/brunch when we visit Joseph. If you’re a bread person you’ll love the fresh-made biscuits. If you like sweet and savory you’ll love the Swedish crepes wrapped around breakfast sausage. If you’re all about the Southwest, you’ll love the eggs, beans, cheddar and salsa over a cornmeal pancake. They have a surprising number of vegetarian options although they aren’t listed as such. Good coffee and friendly service. If you want to miss the rush, you can wait until after breakfast hours. When the weather is nice you can sit in the courtyard and listen to the old timers who spend several hours eating and talking. Most of all, come for the delicious, savory food and yummy breakfast sweets at good prices!

Want breakfast ya palookas? Want good breakfast? Want plenty of it? Like your java HOT. I been stopping here when I’m up this way for years. I’ve never had a bad meal in here, not once. I wish I was up that way right now. I’d go eat. Some of the joints up this way close in the Winter, I’d call ahead and check. If it’s open and you’re there. have breakfast here. If it says half order or full order. Think on that and how hungry you are. I eat a lot when I’m hungry. I do half orders here if I’m not hanging around a couple days. If I am hanging around I do full orders. That’s not being a patsy. I like a little something for later.

Delicious breakfast! I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and my husband got the French toast. Both were excellent. The half order of the biscuits and gravy is plenty even if you’re really hungry. Yummy Rosemary gravy. Very flavorful. The French toast was the star, though. Thick slices of bread, sweet but not too sweet! Perfect portion size as well. Great service and friendly staff. I definitely recommend stopping in.

Ate here twice during our stay by Wallowa Lake thanks to a great recommendation by an employee at the hotel we were staying at. They said this place had really good food and was recently opened by a younger couple who were very nice. The restaurant isn’t very big, but neither is the town so we never had problems finding seating. If you’re trying to find it, it’s the cute little eatery with cups and saucers decorating the front. Both times we went were for breakfast even though I believe they do lunch as well. Everything tasted amazing, and their salsa is GREAT. I really enjoyed that they offered more simple choices available on their menu like bagels and granola, but its obvious that they really shine when you order something fun like their Sante Fe bowl. Would definitely go back anytime I visit the Wallowas. A++

Small town america serves some great food! This belief was further strengthened in Joseph, OR right at the foothills of the Wallowas. Its a nice cosy brunch place, they have reading glasses along with the menus(very interesting I though, catering to their clientele very seriously). I got the old town breakfast(the small size, which was still way too much food)! Seriously for 6 bucks! It tasted very good. The eggs were nicely cooked, and the salsa was amazingly fresh. Service was propmt and cheerful. Definitely stop by if you’re visiting the Wallowas or Hells Canyon

This place opens earlier than others so that’s why I chose it before starting early on a long hike. Definitely hit the mark. The bacon was delicious and cooked exactly the way I ordered it. I also had eggs which I ordered over medium(they were also perfect) and substituted a biscuit with gravy for the potatoes. All were delicious, the service was friendly and VERY fast, and the coffee was delicious! I plan on going here again tomorrow for breakfast!

Ambiance and décor is just what you’d imagine for this small, eastern OR town that acts as a gateway to the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. We stopped here for breakfast 2 days in a row. Food choices were standard American diner fare: eggs, sausage or bacon, pancake or bread. The oatmeal with walnuts, blueberries and brown sugar, and I was very filling. Free wifi, friendly service, tables inside & outside

No nonsense place that sticks to the basics and delivers. We came with a group of 7 with different tastes and all left happy. Service is good and friendly, prices are fair and dishes are straightforward but well realized. Nice charming feel to the outdoor seating area. Nothing we ordered rose as a real standout(though we didn’t order everything so maybe there’s something on there that would) but a wide range of items were enjoyed from salad to basic breakfast(bacon, eggs, and potatoes) and breakfast burrito.

Great coffee, breakfast, and service. You won’t go wrong. We ordered Pancakes, Bagels, Toast, and their Mocha. It’s quality food with great service. Also, WiFi access is free.

I had the veggie breakfast scramble. Better than expected. Really delicious. And their potatoes were cooked to perfection. Small town charm but we didn’t feel like«outsiders».

A great breakfast in a great space, the Old Town Café is worth a visit. The owners clearly put some pride in it, with details like topographic maps on the benches adding a little bit of friendly ambience to the small restaurant. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve had lately, great in flavor and consistency and a perfect portion. I prefer my potatoes crispy, and was a little disappointed in the soft potatoes, but what they lacked in crispiness they made up for in flavor. My partner had a granola pancake with fruit, a delicious twist on breakfast. Coffee was flavorful and promptly re-filled. A win all around, and recommended.

Bountiful breakfast. Some of the best hashbrowns I’ve had in a long time. Come early, because the place fills up.

Yummy Food! Fresh, Fresh, Fresh, which is a bit hard to come by in Eastern Oregon. Service is great, place is clean and you can’t get a better breakfast in town ~ nice small venue, some outdoor seating. Great coffee. Awesome food. When my husband and I are in town on vacation, we always stop here, as it’s totally YUMMY! We’ve only had breakfast here, but many times and have never been disappointed.

Super cute covered outdoor seating area with a little fountain. They place was busy but we were seated right away by the laid back staff. Menu was a little limited but the food was good. Expect to pay about $ 7.50 a plate.
