Very poor quality produce, went bad after 2 days. If you plan to eat veggies same day as you buy them, then it is an alright place. I have been twice and do not plan on going again because of the poor quality and lack of variety. One last piece of info — they have more vendors selling art than vegetable venders. This seemed strange to me.

Pretty sweet bread and other locally produced stuff, but also a lot more expensive than any of the other stores. Also, I’m not exactly sure where this produce is actually coming from? We live in the middle of the desert… But it’s a great social scene and pleasant time.

Hey there JT — we meet again! And here I never knew about your Farmers Market. Glad to have stumbled upon it one Saturday morning. After leaving our names at The Crossroads for brunch we wandered into the Farmers Market for a quick perusal of the goods which included handmade beauty bath products, local honey, fruits, veggies, salts, eggs, and more! A great selection for the area. Everyone was super courteous and there was plenty of shade and even a cool down station with water. Check out this cute little market Saturday mornings and fill up on delicious local products!

It was super fun. Took the children and they had a great time. Of course we went in the middle of the super hot heat wave. Everyone was so nice and they even were sweet to my dog. It’s somewhere I like to go on a relaxed Saturday morning.

I finally made it to this, even though I pass it nearly every weekend. The vendors are all great, with very fair prices for some of the best produce and canned products. If you drive by like I used to, make it a point to stop. Most of the vendors also have Square, so you can use credit/debit. If not, there’s a store 6 buildings away with an ATM!

Not a big market like you’d find in larger metro areas, but I saw a lot of good produce. I’m probably going to spend some time in Joshua Tree in the near future, so it’s great knowing this market is here.

On my rare Saturdays off from work I ALWAYS head here. It’s everything you’d want in a Farmer’s Market. I love chatting with the locals, buying fresh, organic produce and checking out the handmade items. I’m always impressed and walk away with a ton of great food. If you’re in town, you’ve got to check it out. Great prices, great food and fun all around.

Coffee! I forgot to bring my coffee! We dressed and headed the 3 or 4 blocks down to the main drag to find the Joshua Tree farmer’s market and breakfast. I was totally delighted to find myself facing a table with 20 kinds of hummous, luscious looking locally made flat bread, 6 kinds of olives and other goodies. I bought them all and then turned around to the other stand across the way and got myself a half pound of Joshua Tree Coffee Co «delicious decaf» ground for my filter cone(btw, it is REALLY good!). Realizing that we were shopping HUNGRY(violation of rule #1 of shopping for food!), we turned around and went into nearby Natural Sisters Café(after briefly checking out the natural grocery store next door). The menu had plenty of options to make both of us happy — eggless tofu salad sandwich for me, a wrap for Chris — and there was a stack of gorgeous slices of carrot cake(vegan!) next to the register, so of course we got one for later! After strolling through the market for a little while, admiring cherimoyas, jewelry, preserves and other goodies — we packed up and headed back to the little house to leave our purchases and leftovers and head into Joshua Tree to find some rocks and dirt. I wish I could go to the Joshua Tree farmer’s market EVERY weekend!

I grew up going to farmer’s markets all over SGV, and after recently moving to Joshua Tree I was stoked to find that they had one here. The hubby and I go just about every Saturday. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely no SGV Farmer’s Market, but like a gal on here previously noted, what do you expect from lil’ old Joshua Tree? The prices are great, the food is great, the flowers are great and that violin dude is pretty cool too. I wish they’d expand it though, that’d be awesome!

The place we rented in Joshua Tree had a binder that introduced all the things to do in the area. This was on the list so we decided to make a stop on our way to the Park. It was the smallest farmer’s market I’ve ever seen. It was cute, I guess, but I’m so glad I live in LA where we have lots of supermarkets and tons of big farmer’s markets.

A nice, tiny farmers market. Good for locals and travelers to get some quality produce. We got some hummus from a vendor that wasn’t so great, but the fresh ingredients made a nice dinner when we got home.

I have just moved to Joshua Tree(LOVETHEHI-DESERT!) and one the things that I look forward to is the Farmers Market. Just can’t wait to mingle with all the locals and now that myself have become one!

Lovely little(and I do mean little) farmer’s market. They give you about the minimum you’d expect… it’s about 10 stands long on either side. We grabbed some Asian pears and sunflower bread and left quite happy. Looking at the other reviews, I wonder if this was an abnormally unpopulated day… we didn’t see some of the cool things that others wrote about(locally-made dog treats?). Or maybe those businesses don’t go anymore.

This market has come a long way from the beginning and keeps getting better and better! Beautiful sprouts, honey, dates, Greek Guy with great Olive Oil, pita, feta and more, Gail with her yummy dog biscuits, and the fact that it’s not far to get to! Saturday becomes a day around the market and a great way to run into locals and old friends that make time to get down to the market to buy some veggies and fruits. Saturday 8am — 1pm in downtown Joshua Tree village!

One of the things I dreaded most about moving to the desert was the idea of having to purchase produce from a major supermarket chain, so imagine my surprise when I encountered the Joshua Tree Certified Farmers Market! Known to locals as the weekly social club, the market features six or seven stands featuring locally grown produce and eggs; greek foodstuffs driven in from Los Angeles; local breads, rolls, and savory/sweet muffins; local honey, jams, and jellies; and locally-made Doggie Treats and other handmade gifts. Each week we dutifully trek down the hill 3.5 miles, visit Ricochet for coffee and whatever warm, sexy food that Chef Rosa has just taken out of the oven, then head across the street to the market. We buy carrots, celery, broccoli, sweet/hot peppers, sweet corn, cilantro, tomatoes(when we can), squash, spinach, and whatever fruit is in season(currently persimmons, apples, and citrus). We also visit the Greek Food Stand(Aliki’s Greek Taverna; ) for delicious kalamata olives(with or without pits), tzatziki, feta, and fresh pita bread. While the husband struggles to juggle the bags I keep handing off to him, I drool over the breads — the pastries and muffins are always a big hit with our houseguests. Eventually we make our way to the far end of the market, where Diggin’ It Doggie Treats has a small stand. Our puppy loves the Carrot Chicken Canine Cookies that are made from the Three Dog Bakery Recipe. The market is open every Saturday morning, between 8am and noon.
