Loved this place! Cute little place. Makes me feel like home; down to the dishes! The food is simple but but just adds to the nostal. Went here for breakfast and just sat outside and sipped on my coffee. The costumer service was great as well she was very attentive and hospitable.

This place is mediocre at best. Cute décor but that’s it. Had a «hot sandwich» was $ 10 for a Philly Cheesesteak. What a joke. It was 3 slices of thin sliced roast beef out of a deli pack with uncooked bell pepper, no onions, a speck of cheese on a store bought roll. Came with a teacup of soup. I asked for Lentil, was very bland and filled with barley! They are too over priced and falsely advertise what you’re getting. Will never go back.

Cute little spot, one of the last places to turn in and grab a little food or coffee before heading into the park. Parking and restrooms are shared with the visitor center next door, so you can just use the facilities if you don’t want to buy anything by walking in that way.

I felt pressure to buy a coffee when sitting with my boyfriend. Which directly led to my decision to share his weak coffee instead. Then I was asked to leave unless I purchased my own. I’m not the type to support small businesses that strong arm their regular customers. The first few times we were there she was nice, but we witnessed her being rude to many others. Older woman is patronizing, rude and shouldn’t be in a customer service/food service position. The younger girl is nice but also seems to have the same bad attitude when it’s busy or when people complain about the food(which is often). This is my first bad review.

Seems like this place is only in business due to its close proximity to the visitor center, shame on them.

Coffee drinks were of very poor quality. I imagine they are only in business because of the ridiculously close proximity to the Joshua Tree Visitors Center. You are much much much better off walking the *less than one block* to either Crossroads(same side of the 62) or Joshua Tree Roasters(other side of the 62). Please just go to either of those places. You’re welcome.

This place is okay, nothing too exciting to write about though. We came here as we were exiting the park in the morning and waiting for the shop across the street to open so we could grab a couple showers. My friend had a coffee, I had a chai latte. My chai was okay, tasted a little like a café latte though, and it was served lukewarm. It’s a small café with simple charm, and the world map with pins of where visitors were from was fun to look at. It’s just a place to sit down and stretch your legs for a bit before making a long drive home.

We went to pick up lunch for 5 people and walked out with 5 sandwiches(no drinks). The tab was over 60 dollars… now how does that make sense? With those horribly high prices you would assume the sandwiches would be delicious. Never assume. The meat sandwiches in the order were put together with a sloppy haste and old veggies. The vegetarian sandwich was disgusting because it had old cheese to go along with its old veggies. I would suggest the trash can behind Santanas before I would tell someone to go get food from the park rock café.

They put black avocado on my sandwich. when I told them the lady said thats what it was like when I opened it. If an avocado is rotten don’t put it on the sandwich! The coffee was horrible and weak. The lady who was working was rude and made no attempt to resolve the issue with the avocado.

We love coming here on weekends When Oana is working. She makes you feel like family and she makes great coffee and brownies. If she was there all of the time I would give it 5 stars.

The food at this place sucks! My guess is that they are still in business because tourist don’t know any better. If they had to rely on locals they would have been closed LONG ago.

Wish I could give this place less than one star. My family ordered a latte, cappuccino, and a regular coffee. All of them tasted horrible and nothing like coffee. We ended up throwing them away they were so bad. They tasted like warm milk that went sour. Do not waste your money here!

I did not expect much customer service from a small café, but I did not need the rude attitude either. The woman working here today acted all annoyed at us and told us she was the only one working there. Apparently we took too much time ordering.(Hmmm…Same person handling money and food.). After we got our to-go sandwiches, I asked if they were cut in half. She replied«Always love» nope… didn’t feel the love, just bad attitude. Oh and we saw a dead bug in the salad. Yummy protein. Try to support small businesses but not recommending this place.

The worst coffee here, we ordered two drinks, one is lette, one is Americano, the worst dirty water we had ever had! Both drinks tasted nothing, just like dirty water! We also asked if the cashier can gave us some hot water in our own mug, she asked for one dollar with very rude attitude! Will never go back, even though this is right next to the visitor center, with the terrible drinks and attitude, I’ll go somewhere else next time!

The price is average in the area. It is more a light breakfast than a huge heavy meals. The place is clean and steady paced. Perfectly position so that tourist will just come right in. Overall the food is decent but not the best food I have had. Just a place to pick up some food To go into the park next door down.

My veggie breakfast sandwich was delicious! Warm crisp croissant with eggs, cheese, tomatoes, and avocado. One of the girls was even nice enough to suggest places to check out around the area. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a better rating.

The young woman working there on Jan 21 was surprisingly rude to my wife when she asked about the types of sandwiches. Also, my wife said«no styrofoam» and was handed our take-out in styrofoam, with a take it or stuff it attitude. I brought them back later on, unopened, with the credit card receit and asked for my money back. She basically told me what I could do with it. In the past, an older woman has given them to me wrapped in paper and in a white paper bag, and thanked me for the business.

Inside Joshua Tree there are only trees, rocks, desert, bathrooms, critters, and you. If you want anything to eat or drink you bring it in yourself. The Park Rock Café is attached to the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center in Joshua Tree. It earns four stars for three reasons: 1. Convenience. This is it. Your last chance to get a cup of coffee or something semi-warm. The food isn’t great so you may want to bring your own. When we arrived mid-morning everyone was desperate for some hot coffee. Park Rock Café had it, so, this might be better called Park Rock Coffee instead of café. 2. Free WiFi Have you ever spent 2 days without WiFi? Maybe so, but it was a long time ago in an era now ancient memory. Get your Unilocal,Sports, Email, Work, News, & Facebook updates before heading in or use it as a quick check-in immediately after exiting the park 3. Great service I don’t know who the ladies were, where they live, or what makes them happy, but they were simply wonderful and made us happy. The small one-room café wasn’t busy, but the vibe that the employees enjoyed their work permeated the whole place and was visible on their faces, through their voices, and in their laughs. Park Rock Café rocks for it’s convenience, WiFi, and friendliness at a time and place when I really needed it before disconnecting from the world in Joshua Tree National Park.

Park Rock gets a lot of business from people coming to visit Joshua Tree national park. They know what we need, COFFEE. I hate the stuff, but even I needed the boost after the long trek. Let me tell you, that coffee was good. Not only that but it was cheap to boot. I saw someone mentioned the lady behind the counter was rude, but I disagree. We thought she was friendly and hospitable. On another note, this is probably your last spot to use wifi so take advantage of it.

Next door to the Park Visitors Center. The two women running the place were super nice. These weren’t the best sandwiches we’ve ever had, but they were made with care, packed up for us, and they sure tasted good at Key’s View several hours later. As Benj. Franklin said: «Hunger is the best pickle.» He was never righter than when we were wolfing down our Park Café sandwiches.
