The food was decent. Got a biscuit and sausage sandwich which was alright. Waited a while for the food and disappointed in the portion size. I feel that I could have made the same thing at home for a third of the price. However, the killer bee smoothie was good.

I had no idea this place is all about vegetarian /vegan and gluten free stuff. I was in town for the day & My girlfriend(who used to live in Yucca Valley) said I should grab lunch here because they have good healthy food options. I said okay and well, Imagine my surprise when I looked through the menu… No meat items. I thought since I’m already here I might as well eat. I got the Carrot juice & the Eggless tofu sandwich with curry rice on the side. And you know, I actually liked the food. Ha, like who knew?! I took a pic of my lunch and texted her about it and she said, «see, said you’d like it.»

I love this place! I always get the green Mojave smoothie, they’re super delicious and refreshing! The staff are all very friendly and not at all snobby like some other health food places I’ve been to! Love it here!

Great menu and selections on healthy food options, which I truly do appreciate being all the way out here. But as a lot of «health food» type restaurants are– this one was expensive. Over ten dollars for a pretty plain small salad with not much going on. I think this place is vegetarian, maybe vegan, not sure. I’m okay with that. But that’s a lot of money for a basic salad. Muffins and sweets all looked really good but I was too hot to try anything that heavy.

This was exactly what I was looking for after a hike in Joshua Tree! I wanted something healthy, and I got it here! The quinoa salad and wraps were out of this world fresh and packed with healthy goodness! You get lots of choices in your wrap, the tortilla flavor, the dressing, the insides… we also had a peach iced tea and the killer bee smoothie, which kept us going for more shorts hikes and sightseeing throughout the day. Everything here was super fresh, it smelled fresh and green, the place was packed. The coffee looked fantastic. I could eat here everyday! I saw carrot cake in the case, which is one of my favorites, so hard not to buy it — it looked amazing!

Everything here is expensive, even for a shop like this. What’s $ 10.95 should be $ 7.95. $ 8.95 tops. Curried rice wrap was heavy on the sprouts but pretty tasty. only do not use their Tahini dip, it’s much too bitter. Their house Kombucha tastes like mild white vinegar. umm no thanks. My side of quinoa salad was bland. Their desserts looked delicious but I didn’t try one. What I have tried could be improved on. Dining room is tiny and the line of hipsters is long. But the blond behind the register makes me smile a lot. This place has a lot of potential.

I’m a meat lover, but this place makes me love vegan food. I found here on the way to Joshua Tree and it was a perfect choice to have some healthy foods. I got an avocado quinoa burger and a my own created smoothie(papaya juice with peaches). The burget was so yummy and the veggies inside were so fresh. I thought it would taste too healthy, not tasty. I really liked the food and would find other vegan restaurants in LA area where I’m from. I should eat more vegan foods txpfrom resturants like this place. I would return to this place if I have a chance in near future.

I was vegetarian for the day, and on an epic road trip through the deserts on my own. Most fast food places don’t have vegetarian options, and I prefer going to local places, so I was fretting a bit. Then I found this café. It’s obviously a popular local place, with people and their kids stopping in for food and dessert. The interior of the café is hippy and modest, with only a few tables. The menu is up on the walls, and consists of very healthy options like curried rice wrap, quinoa burgers and freshly made smoothies. I got an avocado sandwich. It was huge and very satisfying, and also really delicious considering that it has no meat. I wouldn’t mind being a full-time vegetarian if I could eat this all the time! This is definitely a go-to place for this desert town, even if you are just driving by.

Food — 3 Service — 4 Value — 3 I had no idea what to expect here given it was all vegetarian, but we decided to give it a try anyhow. I ended up mildly disappointed with the black bean avocado burger — but I’ve never had a black bean burger before and do not look forward to whenever my next one might be. With the amount of cheese that was put on my burger, I wonder how much healthier this really was. I also had the Green drink and I felt the green smoothies that we make with our Vitamix were better. My wife had the enchilada bake and it was similarly loaded with cheese and she ended up eating only half of it. The berry drink she got was better but we both felt the smoothies we make with our Vitamix(both green and berry) were better.

My bf and I stopped by Saturday morning during Thanksgiving weekend and this place was super-crowded. We gave up on the idea of having breakfast here but I thought I’d just get a latte to go on our way out of town. Dang, it took forever. It didn’t take THAT long for the line to move, but I had to wait at least 20 minutes or so for my coffee to show up. The place is tiny, so there were very few places where I could wait comfortably; I felt like I was always in someone’s way. At least it gave me a chance to see the food on people’s plates and it did look good. My latte too, once I got it, was very good. I wouldn’t mind trying them on another occasion when it’s not so crowded. Had I known how long I’d have to wait I would’ve bailed straight away. STEPHJUDGEMENT: Cool little café, but avoid it like the plague if it’s crowded!

Walk in here and you would think that this is the only restaurant in the area. It’s like a little vegetarian oasis in the desert. It’s packed… and for good reason. You’re not going to miss the meat at this vegetarian restaurant, because you’re going to order a burger anyway. But it’s not going to be a beef burger, it’s a black bean burger or a quinoa burger. Throw in some chips and veggies and you’ve got a good meal that’s filling. We wanted to have a vegan cookie, but we were too full. There’s a bit of a wait as these guys are slammed with customers. So you might as well casually window shop at the nearby shops. They’re located on the main road in town and there’s plenty of parking. There was a flea market down the parking lot. Sit outside with your puppy.

Cute little health food store located in Joshua Tree that I bookmarked prior to my West Coast Invasion trip :) Seating is pretty small with a about 4 high round top, I originally came here looking to buy juice as a means of staying«healthy» on vacation. While I did buy a juice, the star of this place was their pies! I had a slice of the strawberry-rhubarb which was AWESOME! Like amaze-balls good! And to make it even crazier, the pie was vegan. Say whaat?! I seriously could eat a whole pie. Maybe not in one seating, but it was really good. I wish I could find a place in Hawaii that made pie that good. Definitely coming back here if I’m ever in Joshua Tree again :) #39 of 1002015

Even this dedicated meat eater found Natural Sisters to be a solid lunch spot. And we were even able to score a couple of seats in the very small dining area. Make you own sandwich — I went with tomato and provolone on sourdough. Excellent, although they pile way on too many sprouts. I had to pull most out to handle eating the sandwich. I suppose you could squoosh the whole thing flatter. Hummus veggie wrap — basically the same as the sandwich but with hummus and in wrap form. Also fairly large. Nice spot in a town with not many options. Located in hippie row with the eco-market and the herb shop.
