The candy mine is at the back of this store and was a better choice for my kids to pick candy. They had a great selection and in smaller quantities.

It’s a lot of fun to go down into the candy mine. It’s cool and creepy down here. They’ve got a lot of different kinds of candy. Any kid, big or small, is sure to find something to buy. The selection may be a bit larger elsewhere, but the experience here is well worth your time. Excuse me. I’m headed to go eat my chocolate Pop Rocks now.

They sell fake sleeping cats made from real rabbit fur. Made in China, these rabbits are skinned alive, screaming in pain, and it takes 20 min. for them to die. Animals feel pain just like human animals. The owner, Jim, continues to carry these products despite knowledge of extreme animal cruelty and torture. If you love and care about animals, don’t buy from this store. I give this store one star for participating in the cycle of animal torture. If these animals were not sold, the Chinese would stop torturing.

The candy shop sucks. The Julian Cider Mill is a MUCH better place for candy, I went in here for postcards and the selection also sucked. Then I noticed a cute Julian magnet that was going for about $ 6 when all the other magnets were about half that price. Nothing cool about this place.

This is a tiny little shop, with basically three rooms, in three stories. When I went in, there was a strong mildew smell. A guy came up to the girl at the front and complained. She said that a pipe had leaked under the adjacent restaurant, but the smell had only appeared in their building. Said it was much worse the week before. Downstairs is a little dark room filled with metal buckets of candy, I think its about $ 7 a lb. Upstairs there are lots of greeting cards and gift bags. The main room is dominated by a wall of over the counter pills. it’s a little cramped, and definitely not disability friendly. a doorway on the left of the main room walks directly into a busy american grill restaurant.

when you first walk in, everything is cramped together. you have your toys, souvenirs and random things in the front. cough medicine, hygiene products, pain relief, etc. it’s your normal drug store. head all the way to the back, and go down the stairs, duck! you will be surrounded by buckets of candy. the good kind too! root bear barrels, chico sticks, taffy, atomic fire balls, sixlets. oh man. they have old and new type stuff. violet crumble, wax candy, bubble gum cigarettes! i don’t eat that much candy and i feel like stuffing my face with the selection they have.
