Best cider donuts ever! Love this place. Wish the employees were more friendly and nice — then I would have given it 5 stars because the place itself is quite charming.

Beautiful farm and store! There was one employee who seemed grumpy but other than that this place was awesome!

Go here! If you have to choose a farm in Eugene, choose this one. They don’t sell a lot of produce they don’t grow. They sell mostly their own grown produce and its wonderful with competitive prices. Towards the end of the season, end of October, prices are spectacular. Their apples are to die for! And cheaper than grocery stores. Don’t expect to go and have a grocery store produce section, they have only what is fresh and locally in season which I love. Also love the farm scenery and pumpkin fields.

Went to thistle down 20 min before closing but the welcome we got was rude and unfriendly. They discouraged us from coming in because they were in the process of closing. We were planning on buying plenty of produce, was not worth the 15 min drive to get fresh produce. Closing at the actual closing time would have been worth their time.

Great place to get a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch(take the tractor ride and don’t be cheap like me as it is a long walk out there). Their Jone Gold Apples are the best in my opinion and when they hit the store floor, you should be there as the fresher is better. This place closes for the year shortly after Halloween so watch for that.

Being new to the area, we were searching for a low-key local farm where we could take our kids to pick out a few pumpkins. Along the way, we had hoped for some farm animals and maybe a hay ride, but no creepy haunted mazes or carnival rides or rock concerts. We had heard good things about Lone Pine and Thistledown from people we trusted, and after doing a bit of internet research realized that they were both on the same road, and so we’d drive down and choose one by «feel». On a beautiful autumn day, we drove out River Road and came first to Lone Pine — it looked a little too commercial for our tastes at first glance, and we decided to drive past it to see what Thistledown looked like. We pulled in to Thistledown and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The kids got to see all of the various farm animals while they waited for the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. We were impressed by the fact that many of the pumpkins in the field were still attached to the vine — meaning they’d actually grown them(some farms that have pumpkin patches truck in the pumpkins and simply place them in a big grass field). One of my kids was super excited to march past all the orange pumpkins and pick out a special white pumpkin. The kids wanted to try the corn maze, too, which was fun(but not overly complex — and NOT haunted!). They wandered around a bit before finding their way out with a little help from Dad. We shopped the little store there too and purchased sauces and jams and marinades for family members for Christmas, bought a fresh-baked cherry pie and cookies, and overall just had a blast! If you want a more authentic farm experience for your Fall pumpkin picking, I recommend you visit Thistledown Farms. I know we’ll be back again next year!

Oodles of FUN! Kid friendly is an understatement. This place is a giant playground for kids & adults alike. It’s Disneyland for the simple, no other way to put it. The array of FRESH vegetables and fruits is AWESOME. Quality, Quality, Quality! It’s obvious the attention & pride in their product. Not to mention the fantastic prices. Old time décor with a splash of John Deere. Our visit was in the Fall, so it was PUMPKINSEASON :)!! Hay rides out to a giant field just filled with a sea of orange. The journey to the patch is filled with fields of wild flowers just waiting to be hand picked into a bouquet. Don’t forget to stop & check out the rabbits & pet the naughty black goat. We can’t wait to come back!
