Pizza and salad bar! Simple as that. Was very good! Friendly staff. Great service. Clean, cozy, and local vibe. Really enjoyed it.

I ate dinner the last night and was not too impressed with the food. Tonight we had a dinner meeting there and our keynote speaker was George Runner from he Board of EqualIzation. Dinner was actually very tasty and filling. Yesterday I would have given two stars but with my return visit I had to give them 4. I had the ribeye with peach cobbler for desert. I did ask for extra seasoning on the steak tonight which the kitchen happily obliged.

I never thought I’d say this, but if I can give negative stars… Yeah, this place is that bad. As we walked in, the layout was odd. Almost two restaurants in one building. So we sit down with our menus. We ordered a coke and a water. Someone else brought two waters. I thought a closed menu was a sign we are ready to order. We waited a good 5 minutes and our waitress comes over and with a turned shoulder, drops off the coke and runs away. Hey, we’re ready, where are you going? That was weird, that’s never happened to us before. We wait, and wait, and wait. All we wan’t to do is place our order. Our waitress is ignoring us. She’s even watching us. My girlfriend gets up to hit the bathroom and then she comes over to take our order. She acted upset because I told her to come back in 2 minutes when my girlfriend gets back from washing her hands. «Can’t you order for her?». Really, you gave her a menu, she’s quite capable of ordering for herself. After my girlfriend gets back we waited, without exaggeration, another 10 minutes. It wasn’t busy, but every other table got seen by their waitress, except ours. In fact, we were this lady’s only table. I think we were there about 25 minutes before we walked out without ever placing our order. After we left, I realized we had bread plates. We never even got our bread. I would highly recommend you do not go here and find someplace else to go.

We ordered the buffet. The soup is super salty. All meat and vegi are cooked when they are still frozen. So the meat are super tough and are inedible. Ice tea is in a 8 oz glass with lots of ice. No one come to refill for us.

I can really only speak for the pizza. And I didn’t even set foot in the restaurant because we got takeout, so I can’t even comment on the service or atmosphere. BUT, the pizza is GREAT. The crust is just the right – soft, but not too soft. Good, stretchy cheese. Seemingly fresh sauce and toppings. I got the garden pizza. Very tasty. I always appreciate a solid vegetarian option.

The pizza was just OK, the beer selection was poor. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The prices are high.

Well, it’s not a big town so I shouldn’t expect top quality ingredients but, a few items were sorely lacking. Service was great and the food came out fast but my fish and chips were hard and the beer batter must have been mixed with something else bc the coating was brittle and just sub par. The salad bar was good. We had 8 in our party and most of us thought is was just okay! The lasagna was not super good and lacked Italian sausage and ricotta. Kind of tasted like TV dinner. The«homemade«peach cobbler was far from that– canned peaches with yellow cake mix on top in a small crock. Not a streusel topping no fresh fruit or whipped cream — def not going there again. If you do decide to go, opt for pizza and a salad bar!

EXCELLENT! My family and I come up to June Lake every year and always eat at Sierra Inn. The food is always consistently good. We love the Pizza, steak and burgers, along with the salad bar. You really cannot go wrong here. It’s our favorite local hangout.

Maybe 2.5…All of June Lake is rustic. a bit old and shabby but charming in its own way… That sets the expectations for the area’s businesses. There aren’t a lot of choices up here and this restaurant had a deck and music so we tried it. Although all tables weren’t full… staff members were either hugely rushed and a bit short tempered(waiters) or kinda lookin’ for something to do(bussers) and there was a brand new cocktail server who was charming, as was the bartender. Dinner.the salad bar was relatively good. fresh crispy veggies, the soup was made from scratch(too salty for me but fresh) and the rice was very good… The rest of both meals(trout and salmon) were completely inedible. The waiter apologized and offered a complimentary dessert, which we declined and he removed %10 from the meal which was less than offing to comp my glass of wine. The manager was aware of the issue and did nothing. The deck is nice and we returned the next evening for a glass of wine but as far as the food other than the salad bar… Perhaps somewhere else.

Ate dinner here tonite, only because there is not many choices for dinner in town, i had walked into Tiger Bar, saloon or bar, not sure what it is but it wasnt anywhere i would eat, so Sierra Inn was just easy. Service at Sierra Inn, Oddly funny, not warm and inviting Food, Very small menu selections, nothing exciting, bland taste, medium portions, bread basket was good. Salad bar was sub par, maybe 7 items to choose from. Im thankfull we were able to eat in town, so im not putting this place down, just dont think its anything special, just so, so.

We nearly didn’t eat here because of the reviews on Unilocal!Hopefully this post helps. Not your«fancy little steakhouse,» but that’s not what we were looking for. We were traveling with four adults and three children. We found their staff friendly and very helpful with the kids, food okay and one of best(and one of the only casual) options in June Lake. After a long day of hiking and traveling a table full of good pizza, delicious fried chicken and cold beer hit the spot! What else do you need!!! :-)

Came to June Lake when they were shutting the mountain and the fishing season hasn’t begun The Sierra Inn put on an ‘all you can eat’ pizza and salad deal for $ 10. The pizza was delicious and the salad very fresh. The people in the restaurant were lovely and very welcoming :-)

I was here for a dinner with a wedding group of about 20 people. The plan was to go somewhere at Mammoth Lake, but almost half the group was delayed by a fire that broke out on the 395, so they opted for a place closer to the resort. Apparently it was the only one in the June Lake area that would take a same day reservation. We should have just waited somewhere else. When my group of three arrived to the restaurant first, I walked up to the hostess station, and waited by the two other groups there. The hostess was on the phone in a frazzled state almost yelling at the person on the phone that someone should be there washing dishes, because they were on the schedule and she was slammed. Super unprofessional. I find out that one group is already waiting to be seated and the other leaves after hearing her rant. She finally gets off the phone and I tell her that I’m a part of the wedding group. She tells me to wait over there, because she’s super busy. Fast forward. We are seated. We find out that there is a pizza menu in addition to the regular menu. We ask the hostess for the pizza menu, but apparently we’re on the wrong side of the restaurant for that. Seriously, what kind of place splits the restaurant into two like that?! Almost all of our dishes came with the soup and salad bar(think low budget Sizzler). The bf orders a ribeye(no flavor at all), my friend orders the pepper steak(so tough it actually BENTTHEFORK trying to cut it; see my photo), and I end up ordering beef lasagne(edible, but not for $ 18). My friend and I missed the first round of drink orders, so we ask our waiter. He says he’s not doing drinks and refers us to someone else. Okay… So everything takes forever. When the waiter brought our bill, he had hand wrote in an 18% gratuity for himself. This is normally fine for large groups. However, he didn’t put it into the computer. We all took it into account and split the check we had on to four credit cards with the totals including tax and tip. The frosting on the sh*t cake was when we took the check to the hostess who proceeds to freak out some more, because she doesn’t know how to split the check in their new system. She finally figures that out, but tailspins again when she realizes we all added gratuity already. She proceeds to curse out loud and my friend being from Germany asks me if it normal that service people say things like that? I had to tell him, no; it is absolutely not normal and very unprofessional. Thumbs down for food, thumbs down for service, and thumbs down for ambiance. Find a better place, which is pretty much anywhere.

I’m back a year later(we come to June Lake every year). We were looking forward to having a good pepperoni pizza tonight. But we were disappointed. It was not good, none of the ingredients were good. It tasted just like a frozen pizza. I’m done eating here.

Food sort of ok. Service terrible. It took almost half an hour to have our order taken, and then only because I complained… Very disorganized system. Avoid this place!

The bartender was super friendly as were the locals sitting at the bar. They have a variety of menu items. We went with the pizza which was pretty large for a medium, and quite tasty! They also have a good variety of beers including a couple of local beers on tap. Overall good, casual, relaxing time which is what you expect in a resort lake town. Look forward to many more visits while in the area!

Considering there was no other option for pizza in the June Lake area, this place is pretty good. Sure, I’ve had better pizza. But I’ve also had worse pizza and considering they were doing an all you can eat deal for just about $ 10, it was pretty tasty and definitely hit the spot. This place is basically a dive bar mixed with a family restaurant and it was packed when we went last Saturday night. As soon as the pizzas came out, people swarmed like locusts and it was GONE. They were totally on top of their service though because they kept cranking ‘em out and we definitely did not go hungry. Definitely had more than my fill! Salad bar was your basic fare, onion soup was decent, pizza was nice and hot out of the oven and they had dollar shots, so what’s not to like? I’m sure I’ll be back next time I’m visiting June Lake!

On a recent bus trip, we stayed nearby and came here for two meals. The dinner was pre-planned and we had a choice of lasagna or chicken. I chose the chicken which came with rice and vegetables. With it, we also got the salad bar which had the soup of the day and a good amount of greens and fixings for salads. The Inn also provided us with some hors d’oeuvres that night as an appetizer before we ate. They also saved three large round tables to accommodate our large group. The next morning, we had a buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and other things. Service by the staff was excellent especially when 40 people come rolling in at the same time. If I came back to June Lake on my own, this would be a place I’d definitely try.
