My third time to Heritage Coffee in the last couple of years. Wi-Fi: with purchase only. I’m OK with that. I would like, however, to sit and enjoy my coffee while surfing the net or catching up on emails. But here, they apparently want me to experience something other than staring at my phone or they think that I can drink my coffee in 15 minutes. The code on the receipt gives a mere 15 minutes of wi-fi time. I can’t even«like» all my Unilocal friends’ activities in that amount of time. The smart thing to do here is to order everything separately. Max receipts=max codes=more time online. As for my caramel latte, I ordered an extra shot to taste the flavor of the espresso, which I knew from past experiences here. Two stars for their bathroom facilities that don’t have a time limit.

Worst coffee ever. Clueless staff. Don’t waste your time and money. We asked for coffee, espresso and a latte and she wanted to give us two American coffee and espresso and a latte. Seemed straightforward but she messed up the order four times before she got it right. We asked for real Cups and they put it in paper cups can’t be that hard.

Improper execution of a simple latte leads me to believe the baristas are not trained properly. Watery lattes make the traveler in me sad… I did not get to try the food, so this review is simply about the coffee side of the operation.

What a charming restaurant with a pretty exciting menu by any standard, not just Alaska– how unfortunate though, the experience is sullied by the curt and snappish rwgister clerk Jessica, who assumes that her guests are as dumb as apparently she must be to think I wouldn’t pick up on her snide, asinine remarks to perfectly valid questions. For example«do you offer vegetable juices?» Answered with, «no– we only serve what is actually listed on the menu». As well as «you forgot to take your number — or else how are we going to find you» A simple«don’t forget to take your number would have sufficed». I’m not saying I won’t come back– but if I see Jessica behind the counter, I will reconsider other nearby options.

Use to be great now and now it’s «eh» only a few barista’s know how to make coffee, all the good ones have left. I ordered a red bull spritzer a large one and they put a dome lid on it and the straw was much shorter then the drink. The company is too cheap to present a decent drink. I order lattes and the milk is brunt and I get mountains of foam. Been going here for years and fed up with how many changes they made and things they cut. The grind and flying squirrel are amazing and link your loyalty card to your name. Heritage’s loyalty card is lame, it’s good if you stick to one location. It doesn’t add up from all locations. If you earn a credit at one spot it’s only good at one spot. If you replace your card they can’t combine cards or loyal points.

I tried out the new location to grab a quick bite to eat. I was told the kitchen closed at 3 pm. What’s the point of the improved menu if you don’t serve it all your hours? I was dissatisfied with the premise salad as it wasn’t crisp or flavorful. I would never get the wrap again-very wilted ham and cream cheese wrap. I probably won’t be back.

This was my first trip to Juneau and also my first trip to Heritage. Such good coffee! I had a soy latte and bought a bag of beans to take home. The shop was cozy and very friendly staff. I liked the relaxed vibe and good location. I just wish they stayed open a little later at night. The beans I brought home were called Black Gold and it is some of the best dark roast I have ever had. I will probably order more when I run out!

Coffee dude has been on his phone for 30 minutes… while cleaning and making coffee… hmmm. Place takes to long for food… but it does have a nice view and feel, with a cool logo. Not a fan of hipsters with there work ethics and come what may attitude. But hay… they I’m just a consumer and not a business owner.

I personally love their coffee and been drinking it since 2012, the shop is cozy and music is fitting. Besides the fact that there are a lot of Heritage Coffee shops in Juneau and this one stood out to me. So much art and it’s fascinating how many new pieces coming in and out, just adding this observation because I think it’s great to see local artists put their piece out there. The service and staff were great and nice, gotta always pull off the Alaskan attire in these areas with the xtra tuffs. Again, deliciously strong coffee.

Mediocre coffee. My food experience: «Oh cool! Baja Burrito, No meat, a rarity in Juneau!» —Confirms meatlesness with employee — gets Baja Burrito— Has meat, they just don’t tell you til after 2 stars for being less grungy than valley location

Excellent selection of coffee, free wifi and a selection of soy milk or almond milk. The place is locally operated, so no big companies attached!

An unexpected find in Juneau. The story here I believe is the owner wanted to bring a Peets experience to Alaska but somehow the former CEO of Starbucks became involved and thus Heritage was born. At least that’s what I was told. Tangents aside this place is pretty cool! I really love the logo here and the merchandise they sell here. I am kicking myself for not buying it. They use artwork that is inspired from the native totems. Love it! The staff seem very hipster. We ordered an affogato from the gelato available. Perhaps we didn’t choose the best combo, coffee gelato with a shot of espresso. It was very good from a texture perspective though I think we could’ve diversified on the flavors. Heritage seems like a really trendy place to be.

Definitely three and a half stars. Last time we were here, the Heritage Coffee was in its original location. When we were standing almost outside the original shop we were confused as there was no coffee shop there. But we knew it had to be close because the address was still on Front Street and we were walking up Front Street. We found the new, tourist-friendly store a short time later and ordered our usual 16 ounce lattes. They were almost cold, luke warm at best. My wife even had to have hers heated up as she likes hot coffee. I’m happy with warm coffee so I drank mine as served. The flavor was good but not great. Will we return? Maybe, but they do have a Starbucks in town now so it will be Starbucks next time.

The good is that they have a really unique cup that is sharp and great to look at. The coffee quality is good and I will always support local business. The place is small and not much room to spread out. Service was so so. They forgot to make my drink. Not sure how they didn’t recognize with only 5 other customers in the place, but stuff happens.

A coffee shop that also makes food fresh! The staff were very friendly and patient, especially when I was wanting to make my own breakfast burrito(vegan). They catered to my restrictions and the cook even brought it over to me to make sure I was happy with it. Great service, food, and coffee.

I went to this place four times while in town visiting, each time hoping that«it was just a fluke.» The service was nice enough, with exception of the pompous barista, and the coffee was OK. Better then starbucks, but didn’t buy a bag to bring home. I might have liked it better if the barista could pull a proper shot but he was to busy YELLING at people to get their coffee and trying to be the cool kid. One of my three coffees they screwed up so bad that I threw it out and went across the street(literally) and got some good coffee. Good place to stop in for a visit, love that they are locally roasting, but execution isn’t landing.

This place is great for wifi especially if you are a ship cruiser. Muffins were quite tasty plus the diet soda. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t review that. There is also a restroom if one was needed. This place was recommended to us by a local Juneau worker up the street. It was a excellent call. Thank you!

There is only a couple of coffee places in downtown Juneau, AK., and they’re both called Heritage Coffee. The coffee aroma smells good as you walk in. And there is only one person working. I ordered an iced mocha while my friend got the regular iced coffee. The coffee and mocha was perfectly blended. It was good. The barista was a bit out of it mentally when we walked in. He either wasn’t listening or had a brain fart when we ordered. We had to repeat ourselves a couple of times. I think it was because he was sick. He scratched his nose and coughed a couple times while he was preparing the drinks. Boy, I wished he would have washed his hands after. Anyhow, I didn’t say anything about it and just paid for the drinks and left. Another bummer was no Wifi inside the store. There was a sign on the cash register that says to go across the street. Really? Oh well. I’m only a tourist here. If this no Wifi issue was around my hood, then they’re better off keeping the doors locked.
