Atmosphere is surprisingly cool inside. We are in the bar area, and the bartender was both attentive and friendly. Dining choices were good… my husband and I would’ve preferred a better wine selection, though. The Mongolian beef was one of the best entrees of that style that I’ve ever eaten. I would definitely go back.

I left this restaurant a little confused. I had the Waygu burger, which in and of itself was really good, but hard to eat a burger on a ciabatta roll… and the sauce and toppings were a little overbearing, I had to take everything off but the egg, then moved the burger to the top part of the bun which was dry, and discarded the soggy bottom. The egg needed another 30 seconds to be perfect — but that timing is hard to do every time! BF had the seafood and chips, which was good… but loads of batter and a small portion for $ 22 it’s true. I like sweet potato fries, but IMHO why take fries and dip them in again in that batter? Last, we had the pistachio cream puffs — the puffs were heavy, not light and airy, but the pistachio cream was really good as was the chocolate sauce. I ate the inside cream, dragged thru the chocolate which was swooshed on the plate. I wanted one of the cool cocktails but most had spicy notes — not for me, so opted for a good red wine. All in all, I MIGHT go back just to experiment for a few other interesting items… but with those menu choices and presentation… for that price point, I would probably go elsewhere, unless it was happy hour and i could try a few bites. With all the restaurant choice in Tequesta, Jupiter, PBG, you have to do a few things REALLY well. Side note: on approaching the restaurant beware the blinding LED lights! Like going thru the light to enter heaven!

We had sushi and black grouper. The meals were great, but service was very slow for a ¾ full restaurant.

Spectacular experience. Every dish was a great combination of flavors. A hidden gem in a strip mall. Had a full page selection of bourbon, whiskey and rye. Such a welcome addition to the local restaurant community. We will be back again soon for the duck confit dumplings, kanpachi, and beautiful toro.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, the décor is beautiful. The food is mediocre to dissapointing and the prices are outrageous! My boyfriend and I had one drink each and 2 appetizers, the scallops and the octopus carpaccio and decided to leave after eating two very small and poorly served appetizers. Our bill was $ 80, we left hungry and dissapointed, won’t be back. Wish the manager/owner would re-think their menu/price/portions if they wish to last.

WOWWHAT A MESS! I have no idea who created this menu it is all over the place, I’m not really sure what type of restaurant this is. The meal was OK at least what we ordered the choices of what we could eat were limited. The price however was outrageous… if you want to spend $ 50 plus a head with out drinks or tip for an eclectic meal then go for it. I will never be back. I really dont know who this place is created for but not me. The table next to me had a fight with the owner over a Groupon… I guess Groupon sums it up… when you resort to Groupon I guess you know your days are numbered. But not to accept it… whatever! OK not great food at an outrageous price is what you get… well I gave it a try!

I give this restaurant 3 stars. Simply because the food was way over priced. As a foody I expect great pricing plus a great concept. No need to price gouge for something like this. Great food, good beer selection, but over priced. –cheers JM’

Excellent food and service. Spectacular number of Bourbons. Inventive and fun food. We had the fried peppers and shrimp tacos for appetizers– the peppers were amazing. Black Grouper over green tea noodles was perfect albeit a bit small on the portion of fish. But, wow, the chipotle chocolate mousse with applewood bacon was simply fantastic. Portions are modest, price is on the high end but the quality is top notch!

So, I was sent by my office to investigate this new place, and I was pleasantly surprised. Coming from Chicago, I felt comfortable in a bar that had high quality bourbons and bartenders that can make a decent drink. The place is small, more intimate than tiny, but there is ample seating at the bar, especially during happy hour. I’d definitely return for a post work cocktail with a colleague or take a date there… The seating is to be desired and rather tired, but somehow it works in a space that prides itself on being dark and mysterious. The staff is very accommodating and the service punctual. Brandt, the bartender, was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and I certainly hope they keep him on board. He did not steer me wrong on my drinks, the Bourbon Manhattan and the Rum-Yuzu cocktails. I tried a few of the happy hour snacks: shrimp tacos and spicy tuna roll(although the latter was a last minute substitution on the menu). Both were excellent on the pallet and would be reorders upon a return trip. The music tonight was an eclectic mix of classic rock jams that are rarely played on the radio, so it was a nice mix, not too loud, but just right for the early evening mood. All in all, I’d say that if in the area, Nitrogen is worth a visit, especially on date night, but don’t let the strip mall façade throw you off. Once you enter the front door, you could easily be in a major metropolitan restaurant worthy of real critics. Enjoy!

Had the opportunity to go to Nitrogen this Friday. I found a great groupon for the restaurant and decided to drive an hour to get there. This was my wife’s second visit and although she had experienced great food and drinks on her prior visit her experience with the owner of this establishment was less than positive as he had approached them at the end of their meal and asked them in no uncertain terms whether they«were done yet». A little strange in a restaurant of this«caliber» and with these sort of prices. A word of advise would be to let people enjoy their drinks and not push them out the door! Anyway moving on the Friday nights affair and I have to say I was very pleased with the food and drinks and the service we received from the hostess and waitress. There were as it turned out three of us dining and the groupon I had bought did say for four people. We certainly ordered enough for four people and the bill was well over two hundred and forty dollars. We had a great meal and my outlook on this restaurant was very positive until… oh yes here comes Mr owner again with my groupon in hand!!! Heart sinks as he rudely informs me that he won’t be honoring the voucher as we did not have four people and that I should get in touch with groupon for a refund. I didn’t make a fuss even though I could see the obvious nervousness from our waitress and I simply requested that he honor the fifty dollars I had spent on the voucher if he was unwilling to grant the $ 100 it was supposed to be for! Begrudgingly mr owner wanders back to his cash register and presented another bill which we gladly paid and tipped our waitress 40 dollars, it wasn’t her fault after all. Having been in this industry I wonder what goes through someone’s head when they make such an idiot out of themselves to avoid honoring a groupon that they signed up to offer. The restaurant is in a location which doesn’t lend itself well to return visitors, so with that being said you would have though that they would try and make this an experience worth returning to. I can only say that we will not be returning to nitrogen, that we hope wholeheartedly that the chef decides to open up his own restaurant and the owner decides to return to his cave overlooking Whoville! Christmas is coming Mr Grinch we hope you find some peace!

Food was great! The tuna was very fresh and melted in my mouth. I loved the unique menu and fresh drink specialties. We had shrimp tacos for appetizer and they did not disappoint.

This place is a NIGHTMARE! Do not go! We experienced the worst Saturday night ever. Not only were the owner and manager fighting all night — in front if us — but they kept sitting at our table. Then after dealing with all oftheir drama, we received an absolutely astronomical bill for a mediocre meal with unknown wine for a whopping $ 425/couple…on Indiantown Rd by 95??? Need I say more.

Tried this place for the first time a little bit ago with some girlfriends. They’re still figuring things out at this restaurant. I tried the skirt steak which was very flavorful & beautifully displayed. It was a little too expensive for the portion they give you. If you don’t mind fat, you will enjoy this steak. They decorate it with fried leeks so that you won’t taste it as much. But other than that, our server was nice & attentive. He answered all questions & was very helpful to improvise a sushi meal to make the fish cooked. The only thing I didn’t care for was the water. It was nicely displayed in a big glass bottle to pour yourself, slightly chilled at first & then it started to taste like room temperature bottled water. Yuck!

This is world class sushi and so much more. Beautiful restaurant with a understated vibe. Everything on the menu was absolutely fantastic. The craft cocktails are so much fun. Tell the mixologists to surprise you and you can’t go wrong.

Owner Jack Ford has created a NY worthy bar and restaurant smack in the center of Jupiter. The ambiance is dark, moody and sexy and so are the amazing bartenders. Visit Nitrogen for award winning cocktail concoctions — be sure to try the house specialty«No Soup for You» — sooooo delicious. Come here for drinks, to mingle and for the outstanding fare. Make a reservation — this place is about to blow up!

A true gastronomic experience. FRESH fresh, fresh sushi/sashimi and delicious craft cocktails. Sophisticated, hip décor, excellent service. Beautiful presentation but the small plates are very small portions. If you are hungry, you’ll drop some serious $$$ to satisfy your appetite. Unfortunate, west Jupiter location in an older strip mall but you do forget about that when you enter. I highly recommend for those who love interestingly prepared, delicious food and are not afraid to spend to get it.

I really didn’t know what to expect with this place — the name Nitrogen really doesn’t reveal much(which I’m told was intentional to eliminate boundaries in the cuisine). Once inside though, you forget that it’s located in a humble strip center surrounded by less-than-stellar dining choices. It’s a beautiful room, dimly lit and very classy. My small group sat at the bar and sampled as much of the menu as we could. The friendly bar staff were our guides through the menus, both craft cocktails($ 13 and half sized…) and food. We weren’t disappointed. Everything we tried was creative and perfectly presented, if not a little stingy on the portion size and very pricey. Very pleasantly surprised overall.

My husband and I tried out Nitrogen last Wednesday night. We got there at 6:15ish so we had plenty of time to enjoy the happy hour specials, which you don’t have to sit at the bar to enjoy! When we got there, there were only a few other people, but it was picking up by the time we left around 7:30pm. We enjoyed the large selection of draft beers and cider, which were only $ 4/pint. We then started with the happy hour shrimp tacos, which was $ 5 for 2 jammed-pack tacos. They were delicious and fresh! We then ordered the lobster roll($ 23) and the burger($ 19). Both were really good! The lobster roll was not super flavorful on it’s own, but was had a ton of lobster meat(more than any other lobster roll I’ve ever ordered at equal or higher prices) and was good with the accompanying sauce. The burger was very good and big, but would have been more justified at $ 15 or $ 16 rather than the $ 19 which was just a bit overpriced. We were too full to go for desserts, but they looked/sounded amazing. Our server was great and encouraged sharing of dishes and ordering a dish or two at a time to make it a nice enjoyable night(aka tapas style). While some of the happy hour and side dishes would be appropriate for tapas style, we felt that the rolls and other dishes were big enough to be considered entrees. Our only complaint is the location. It’s nice because it’s right around the corner from our house, but the restaurant definitely doesn’t fit the atmosphere of the plaza that it’s in. However, we’d definitely go back to do their happy hour and other selections again!

The food and atmosphere is amazing. This town needs a restaurant like this. I feel like I am back home in Ft Lauderdale when we walk in. Great vibe. Try the smoked scallops and brûlée when you visit. Plus the Bourbon menu is phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great ambiance &HH prices at this new spot. And that’s about all the good news I have. Went for dinner on Sunday night. Had to ask for my ice for my water a few times. Other guest’s drinks from the bar were good but very small. When asked what’s good to order for dinner, our waitress responded with«I would recommend everyone order 2 entrees because they are small.» Well, at $ 28/entrée that’s just not feasible. I ordered skirt steak, wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked, so I assumed it would be on the well done side. Very very wrong. It came out RAW. Mooing! Should have said«steak tartar». I do not eat meat like that & ended up swapping with my husband’s more well cooked burger(also not asked how he wanted it cooked). Also, my husband was looking forward to having sushi, but with only 4 sushi rolls on the menu, not sure how they have sushi in the name! All 4 of us said we will probably be back to enjoy HH at the bar, but will not be eating in the main dining again.
