Good shaved ice. Didn’t know you had to specify you wanted ice cream under the ice. Employee very rude!

Surfy Turtle was my favorite shave ice place in West Maui this year. They have a good variety of flavors, including a few sugar free choices. The small size is pretty big, and even though they didn’t have mochi both the vanilla and mac nut ice cream were delicious!

This place gave a very large portion, but the flavors were very off. The mango tasted like orange, the guava didn’t taste anything like guava.

This cart is perfect for shave ice if you are staying in the Ka’anapali area. They have a lot of flavors and they are very generous with the amount of syrup they put in the shave ice. If you are staying in this stretch of hotels/condos, it’s a nice little treat without having to go into the town of Lahaina.

It was moderate. The problem is sometimes the flavor does not go all the way through for their shave ice. The shave ice is not very compact either and falls apart easily. There is a nearby shave ice in Lahaina that is very very good. If ypu have time go there. This store is neither amazing nor horrible. — AJ10 years old

This was the best shave ice we had during our time in Maui. The ice cream was delicious and plentiful and the shave ice was just the right consistency. The flavors were robust and the service good. The price was fair for island shave ice. We were able to find a shady spot to enjoy a little piece of Maui goodness!

They offer yummy shaved ice over vanilla or macadamia nut ice cream(so good but be sure to request ice cream, it doesn’t come automatically like they serve it in Oahu). There are numerous tropical flavours to top the shaved ice with, and the portions are huge! They will not, however, validate parking unless you spend over $ 10. Personally, I find that in poor taste… a paying customer is a paying customer, and you spend $ 6-$ 7 on shaved ice(which is kind of a lot for shaved ice), they should validate!

Great location. Downstairs at Whalers Village. Flavors are outstanding. Mango and coconut are best to me.

One of the best shaved ice places. The ice was silky soft and just melted with each cooling taste.
