The view was, of course, amazing. It was great to have a creative vegan gluten-free option in the benedict. Could have been more forward in the flavors, but there was tabasco! Would have been nice if tamari was available for the rice. All in all, good option for vegans.

It is the on property casual restaurant. It offered an expensive($ 29.95) all-inclusive breakfast buffet or menu items. Food was good. They serve breakfast and dinner. The dinners we had there were good. Service was always friendly and good. Burger was great! Food in the islands is always expensive compared to stateside.

We stopped in for lunch on the way home on Saturday, sat outside of course. If you never been, I suggest you go. IMO its the best resort property on the island for location. On this day, the food was good — resort food — and plentiful. Burger for me, fish tacos for wife. My only complaint is that because we were not guests, they asked for our CC up front. This was a first at any place I’ve been to in Hawaii, and been here dozens of times… and now its their policy To be considered as one who would skip out was pretty offensive. Now we may use the pool… but to dig out without paying… bad karma. Anyway, got past that pretty quick. Life is good. But, yeah, check that place — good at sunset. very nice property. good surf spot too.

Had dinner here twice during our stay, and the breakfast buffet once. Breakfast buffet was just ok – your standard hotel offering: eggs, link sausage, bacon, omelette station, fruits, juice. I thought it was a bit overpriced at $ 29.95. For our first dinner, the shrimp was good, but we had to send back the chicken for being undercooked. Our waitress handled it well, brought us a new cooked chicken. The sides of beets and spinach with creamy garlic sauce were delicious. We got our dessert and coffee comped due to the chicken mishap. For our second night’s dinner, we opted to share some apps and they were amazing! We had the braised pork belly, crab & lobster cakes, and Hawaiian flatbread. Yum! Overall, it’s a decent place to eat while you’re staying at Turtle Bay.

Gem and I received a gift certificate to the Kula Grille and the food was great. We did order more food than two people should eat but we were on vacation and why not right? I am giving this four stars because of the way that their menu is presented. We ordered the Artisinal Cheese Board $ 14 and directly below it says Add: prosciutto, Bresaloa and Sopressatta — $ 9.00. From the way we read it, we assumed that it was $ 14 + $ 9 for the three meats. No, it’s $ 9 per each meat. lol. So that little Cheese board turned into a very expensive but delicious cheeseboard. Just making sure that other people read this before making such a silly mistake. We also ordered the crab cakes — I would pass, the ahi poke — really good and the braised pork belly — really sticky. I think we got a burger too just because. Our beautiful and romantic dinner was quickly interrupted by a loud, vodka bottle carrying/drinking group who was seated outside. We rushed our meal and got out of there really quick. Oh, get reservations. Do not listen to the conceirge, they told us it wasn’t necessary but when we tried getting an early dinner — guess what? it was all booked.

Before i rip this beautiful restaurant and hotel, let me just say that our server was the sweetest thing ever. After 30 minutes of sitting there with not one person coming to greet us, she came out of her section and gave us service. Whats sad was that all of the bussers and wait staff kept walking by us without even giving us water or telling us hello. Our server was blonde and new to the restaurant(so if you’re reading this, you know who you are, and thank you!)… But to the two asshats that kept ignoring our table(you two fat guys, one being bald(server) and his busser who had glasses) on the outside patio, you guys need to get your shit together. Your section was gross and the customers there were complaining about you both! Being a server for over 6 years, i feel it is very rude and very disappointing to be treated that way. I was about to walk up to one of the waiters and chew em out but i just had a beautiful day of horseback riding and my fiancé told me «its okay, please don’t make a scene». After sitting there for over a half hour i noticed how dirty this place was… Food and silverware all over the floor and tables, they sat us at a table that wasn’t set or wiped either. We ended up finally getting our water, and glasses of champagne 45 mins into our experience. The water and champagne came to us slightly warm. Not cool. Our food was taking so long, that we just said«fuck it». Before the food came to our table, we asked the server to please box up our meals when its ready, and we’ll eat it in our room. After all that shit, to add salt to our wound, the food order was wrong and we ended up eating it anyway due to starvation. Don’t eat here. I would rather serve myself and eat off the floor, because my floor is cleaner then the Kula Grille Service and Restaurant. The service here lacks experience and for the price of the food, there should be some at least! Shame on you Turtle Bay Resort.

Of course their breakfast buffet is overpriced but that is what you get for wanting to go to Turtle Bay Resort. I’ve been here twice for their breakfast buffet. The first time was when my in-laws were in town and the second time for the day after my birthday. We go here when their is an «occasion.» The view is nice and there’s a nice spread of breakfast foods. Coming here is like going on a stay-cation.

The food here is GREAT! Whole family came to dine here in our first night in Hawaii and the food didn’t disappoint at all. Our waitress was great! Just a tad slow, but really friendly and accommodating. They serve you their homemade corn bread with honey… omfg. I couldn’t stop eating it! So moist, and the honey made it all the better. The mixed drinks needs some work, though. WAYYYY too sweet. They’re a little sugar happy lol. For food, we got: Margherita Flat Bread $ 13 buffalo mozzarella, basil, and Hau’ula tomatoes –Pretty good! Loved the chewy flatbread Hawai’i Ranchers All Beef Burger $ 21 100% Hawaiian-raised beef, honey-cured bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, and truffle-herb fries –Almost half the table got this burger and it was really, REALLY good. The fries were super flavorful, and everything about the burger was great. Huge portions, and ranch made it all the better. Surprised at the low ratings!

The food was ok, not great, just ok. The service was terrible. None of the wait staff had pen and paper, and our waitress had a very difficult time remembering our order. She made us feel that she had way more than she could handle. There was no small talk, no welcoming, no discussion of the menu, just give her the order one piece at a time so that she could rush back and put the order in. The food was delivered as we had ordered, except that the appetizer was delivered with the entrée, which is a peeve of mine. She dropped the bill off and we never saw her again.

Breakfast was very good and we are here every day! Buffet prices are extremely expensive though… Kind of unnecessary! But we loved having the amazing view every day. I enjoyed the one time we had dinner as well!!!

I’ve only eaten breakfast here while staying at the resort. I’m giving it 3 stars as I think it is way over priced. Other than that the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They kept my ice tea glass full the whole time I was eating the buffet is better than many resorts. Is quite large too. OJ coffee and hot tea are included. Food was good, no complaints there. Wish the price wasn’t so high.

Buffet is not worth the $ 30 at all, several empty trays and the fruit at the roadside market down the road is way better. I will say though that the pineapple foster waffle was delish and half the price of the buffet!

Went for the breakfast bar. 30 $ we were pleased. We ate later so we were not hungry for hours. Loved they made custom egg orders that were perfect. The fruit selection was awesome. Nice perfect bacon. Great Hawaiian sweet rolls. The guys behind the food were very friendly and eager to please. Our juice and coffee were refilled often(which is included). Nice views. Great Turtle Bay experience.

The food is excellent and the people are wonderful. Chef du Cuisine Anthony Philips was so nice to our family and went above and between for our special celebration. He was really what stood out to me and seemed to exhibit that aloha spirit everyone wants to see when they come to Hawaii. I loved their signature dishes and desserts. For the money it is worth it. The views are also spectacular… Very Hawaii :-)

My mom and I came here for breakfast a couple weeks ago on a whim. We were planning to eat somewhere else but forgetting that the Kahuku area is a Mormon town so most places are closed on Sundays or open later we had to come up with a plan B and we found ourselves at Turtle Bay. I’ve come here a few times for the Sunday brunch and it’s delicious with the most wonderful view but my mom and I didn’t really feel like paying $ 30 a person when we were planning on going to a tiny café originally. So we took a look at the menu and at the Unilocal listing for Kula Grille and decided that we would order off the menu. We ordered the vegetarian Benedict and realized it’s more vegetables with a vegan hollandaise than a traditional Benedict. Luckily our waitress informed us that there weren’t eggs on the Benedict and so we asked if we could add that to the dish to have it be more traditional(FYI they use Ka Lei eggs). We also ordered the lox and bagel. To our surprise when we cut into the Benedict there wasn’t an English muffin underneath. We laughed about it and said at least she warned us about the eggs and figured since we were having a bagel with our lox we didn’t need the extra carbs. Both dishes were delicious and even if you’re not a vegan or vegetarian I definitely would recommend the vegetarian Benedict and add an egg because it was something different than I have ever had. With our fabulous breakfast and the beautiful view we definitely were not sorry that our original choice was closed.

Right on the grounds of the fabled Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu, this is your standard hotel«go to» place to eat. The greeter was kind, wished us Aloha, in seated us per our request on the lower level to best enjoy the views. Our server was prompt, efficient, and spelled out the days special of Ono. They leave a carafe of ice cold water on the table, which is a huge plus. One Blue Hawaiian later(not too week but not too strong either) and we ready to order. The $ 36 dollar buffet was full of options and gently pushed by the staff. They actually do a walk by prior to seating you. The free cornbread was moist, had a mild corn flavor, and came with a honey sauce to dip your bread in. Buffet salads, meats, fish, poke were ok. Not spectacular. Not the best either. Off the menu rotisserie chicken was very well cooked with brown crunchy skin and moist chicken. The exotic veggies were a bit undercooked and there was no real sauce to dip your chicken in. The deserts in the buffet were full of variety, fresh, and had something for everyone. Service was very non intrusive, friendly, and you did not feel like you were bothering them. Ultimately, people go there for the food no matter how goon the service is. Five star for service, three stars for the food. Addendum: Just had the breakfast buffet, which was far superior to the dinner. Huge selection including healthy options like hard boiled eggs and egg white omelettes. Other fun items are miso soup, guava infused muffins, and smoked salmon. Staff was great, friendly, and always smiling. ADDENDUM: Leah, thanks for the decaf tea. You rock!

This was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant for dinner. I was very impressed from the moment I walked up to the desk Jeannie was so welcoming. We didn’t have any reservation and although she could’ve made us wait she made a way for us to get in and seated real quick. She was so friendly and knowledgeable about what was going on at the hotel and about the restaurant. So friendly and even came to check on us as the night went on. I did appreciate seeing the Manager on Duty Vanessa helping bus tables, filling up water, checking on us and seeing how we were doing. I knew she was the manager because she was dressed differently and I saw her going to many different tables asking everyone how they were doing. I thought that attention to detail was very impressive and would play a big decision on me returning back. Food was great! We started off w/2 lava flows that were amazing!!! They really do make the best lava flows on the island(the only other place that I can count on for a good lava flow is its sister bar & grill on property The Point Bar by the pool). We then ordered taro poke, lobster crab cake, pork belly and mushroom flatbread for starters. Everything was great! Everything from portion size, taste and presentation was on point. Crab cake was legit w/big pieces of crab and lobster in it. Taro poke was good but not a wow factor. Pork belly was great and sauce it was cooked in was mouth watering. Mushroom flatbread I think was my favorite appetizer. Everything about the dish was amazing! The flatbread was crisp and warm. The cheese and pesto melted to perfection topped w/delicious mushroom and garlic. I had to stop myself from ordering another lol. I ordered the Fresh Island Catch over lobster alfredo pasta. Fish cooked to perfection and pasta was cooked perfect! Lobster Alfredo was really good! Rich and creamy and I loved the fresh vegetables including edamame, Kahuku corn, Ho Farm tomatoes and broccolini. I grasped the whole farm to table concept in that one dish. I really enjoyed the food experience. In fact Jeannie the hostess who seated us came back to visit us again and gave us a dessert menu and told us a few of her favs.

Came here despite the bad reviews only because they were filming the movie: Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates(featuring Anna Kendrick, Zac Efron, Aubrey Plaza, Adam DeVine). They were filming in the resort’s pool which the restaurant looked over. We came here for breakfast, took forever to get seated(when there were plenty of seats!!). We checked out the breakfast buffet — definitely not worth the money! $ 30 for a medicore continental breakfast that would be served in a hampton inn. the only thing I saw that was somewhat appealing was the smoked salmon. Other than that, not worth the $ 30. We decided to order from the ala carte menu. Sat there for 10, 15, 20 minutes… nobody came to serve us. Finally after 20 minutes, a server came by and we ordered tea. The server said she would be right back to take our order. she never came so in the end we flagged down another server to get our bill and left! Expected more from a restaurant inside Turtle Bay… I would suggest to grab your car and eat OFF the resort for breakfast.

My husband and I were staying closer to the North Shore, and since there aren’t as many options on that side of the island… we decided to check this place out, simply out of convenience. It totally was NOT worth it! We ended up paying $ 25 per person for a salad-pizza-dessert buffet. The pizza was really good, as they had six different varieties(Hawaiian, margherita, sausage & pepperoni, pesto, veggie, cheese) and the crust was thin. Unfortunately, the salad bar was not the freshest I’ve ever seen, nor tasted — the crudités on display were shriveled, the lettuce was wilted, they had random toppings(whole black olives, marinated artichoke hearts, etc.) and the dressings were all way too disgustingly sweet for my liking. The desserts were equally disappointing. I tried a dry and overly dense pineapple upside down cake, a strangely gooey banana-chocolate cream pie, some lukewarm coconut jello that was reminiscent of Asian jello, and an overly sweet apple pie, which actually was just super sweet apples with some uncooked dough crumble on top. Yeah, you read that last part right — UNCOOKED. I would say that entire apple pie was uncooked… from the top to the bottom, considering the crust underneath looked totally unbaked. If I could do it over, I would definitely man up and drive further… just to avoid paying ridiculously high prices for disgusting to mediocre food. At least the pizza was semi-decent…oh, and the servers were very friendly. Sadly, the positives end there. Do yourself a favor and drive around the island, in search of the better restaurants! ;)
