Just had carpet installed by Hawaiian Carpet One – this was a quality experience. Nate, our sales rep at the store, was patient and helpful during our selection of in-stock carpets. He said he’d give us the best pricing possible and worked within our budget. The installers, Rob and Tommy, were also great – pleasant, did not waste time, respected my mom’s place, and cleaned up well before they left. In addition to this carpet install, we did a total condo remodel last year and are doing another total condo remodel now. A lack of urgency, unprofessionalism, high prices and a take-it-or-leave-it attitude seem to be the norm with suppliers and tradesmen here. These guys at HCO are the exception.

Excellent choice of carpets in stock on island. Quick quote, measure, and install.
Home Depot had quoted $ 1600+ for carpet and install on stairs (full wrap, 11 steps) and a small landing. And install would be in 4 to 6 weeks. Hawaiian beat them by $ 400 while quoting a much better quality 42 ounce faceweight stainmaster solution dyed nylon carpet.
HD install was $ 1000+ including charges like $ 66 for having to use an elevator, and a charge for less than full roll of carpet foam, and $ 30 to haul away the old carpet.
