It’s exciting that Hawaii has a Krispys. But christ… if their employees aren’t the slowest people. Me and the other half literally stood in line for 20 minutes with just 2 others in front of us. They had no sense of urgency, ATALL. And the guy that appeared to be the owner(only guy not in a uniform), wasn’t wearing gloves. The younger guy that was assisting us at least wore gloves but I had to say my order several times. 2 oreo, 2 glazed, 2 strawberry shortcake. Easy enough, right? Apparently not. I had to repeat myself on 3 occassions. 2 stars for the simple fact that we have a Krispys. 0 stars for service.

7-Doz donuts and 40-donut holes later… I’m on a plane back to Oahu. The lady at the counter gave me excellent tips for traveling with my precious cargo. Mahalo! FYI… 6-dozen fits in the overhead storage. Another dozen and two boxes of donut holes under the seat. Almost feels like smuggling! …So I’ve been told.

Very grateful to have one of my colleagues bring and share famous Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut. Fresh, soft on the outside, I could not resist, life is too short not to indulge in one, two or three glazed doughnuts. Great picker upper to consume, goes well with coffee and excellent cool down for those experiencing a spicy and/or salty palate. Just watch for the glaze that may leave crumbs after taking a bite. Happy to have my Krispy Kreme!

Had to go check it out on National donut day. Driving by KK a few times when heading to the airport, we finally stopped in. When we walked in the conveyor belt was empty, it was late afternoon. I guess no more fresh glazed donuts. no biggie. The line wasn’t too bad and they were passing donuts out pretty fast. At first I was gonna get the original glazed donut. But when I got to the counter the sprinkle donut was calling me. It was sweet and melted in my mouth from every bite. I should have ordered a coffee with. The employees were quick and friendly. Ohana comes from Molokai and no joke they bring back a couple dozen boxes of these donuts! The establishment appeared clean and they also have a drive thru. I probably return again in the future when I have another sugar craving.

Donuts are good service seriously needs some work here. I had to place my order twice and they still got it wrong. They get three stars because they have a drive through and donuts are good.

This is a donut establishment, known for their world renowned signature donuts. However, they are out of original glazed donuts and have a wait time of(1) hour. Are they serious? You make donuts all day, why’d you stop making them. Ha ha. Oh well. Sorry ohana, I’ll try again next time.

Hot, fresh, donuts?!? What’s not to love about every word of this sentence?!? Perhaps the part about forgetting your mind and ordering the wrong one?!? My mind was telling me «order the regular glazed donut!» Instead I walk in and order a Boston crème donut. Huh?!? What?!? Whyyyy??? Was it the donut sensory overload that threw me off? I think I went to donut heaven and got lost! My Boston crème was just«so-so» and as I sat and ate my donut I kept wishing I was eating the plain, glazed on popping fresh off the belt, bathed in a streaky stream of glazed icing… licking lips still… Ugh! So, there you have a sub-par review because I missed the mark on ordering what I should have ordered… guess that means I will need to make a return visit one day to correct my mistake?!? If you’re from the mainland, Krispy Kreme is a big deal! Just trust me and get the plain, glazed donut. You can thank me later! Overall, pretty clean establishment. Maybe a few sticky tables… But fast, friendly service. Ample parking and super clean restrooms!

Great workers & great service. Even though I’m always in and out of this place, the staff are always so happy and helpful. Usually the dozen box is quite large. On our last trip, they knew we were headed for the airport and getting on the plane, so they split the dozen into smaller boxes for easier transport. Great looking out! Bonus points for consistently delicious donuts which everyone in the office always loves.

A must stop on Maui. Tip: They give free samples of the original glaze so try not to get too full before you try everything else! :P

Been here plenty of times to grab KK for people on Oahu, today I felt it needed to be reviewed because of the service. My sister requested a box of assorted donuts, sent a text of the specific ones she wanted. So we go in to order, I believe his name is Oxford, he was very accommodating and patient with us. He put our dozen donuts in small boxes.(The large box takes up too much space.) I don’t know where my sister got the flavor list but a bunch of her donuts were nonexistent. Oxford was kind enough to recommend something similar and we made him walk back and forth grabbing this and that. As we pay he offers us complimentary donuts. :) Thanks for keeping your cool with us. ^_^b

Ugh. What plebeians they are. I entered, hoping to get a savory donut, I have never been to Krispy Kreme before. It looked pretty non-classy from the outside, but I decided I’ll go in. I was greeted by an uncouth man, yelling across the«establishment», and saying things to me in a voice that reminded me of voldemort. I ordered a half dozen, and it’s very bland, appealing to the bland standards of SOME Americans. I ate two, before throwing the box away. I looked at the nutrition facts, and I was shocked. One donut has 30% of your daily fat. Oh gawd. I already ate two. That means sixty percent of my daily fat for a 2000 calorie diet! Oh pinch me. I went home after that, and exercised after that so I could have an actual dinner that night.(That was Saeng’s Thai, I reviewed that, I case you want to see that)

This is no hidden gem. As you leave the airport, you will see this place at the main intersection. Great doughnuts!!! We stopped before we caught out flight back to PDX for a handful of doughnuts and like always, they were great! The manger was friendly and I had a good, quick conversation with him and he asked us how we liked Maui. He was very friendly.

Well, can’t get any more convenient than to have a Krispy Kreme right in front of you when you exit the Kahului airport. This is still the only KK in Hawaii so for me it’s a must to stop here when arriving on Maui and when leaving Maui. :) I haven’t been here in a few years and not sure if this is the norm now but everytime in the past(and even when I used to go to the one in Daly City) when I stepped through the door, they always offered a fresh glazed original donut on the house, not this time, though. We split a box of 6 donuts, a few original glazed, a maple bar, a kreme filled glazed, and a seasonal pumpkin spice. We definitely enjoyed all of them but the original is still my favorite. They’re airy and just the right size to gobble up in 2 big bites. I could easily inhale a half dozen in one short sitting so I guess it’s a good thing they’re no KKs in Honolulu since I’d be the size of small zeppelin.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Krispy Kreme and am so glad that my Maui peeps gets to be the first ones to have them in Hawai‘i. After we dropped my dad off at the airport, we swung by here to try the pineapple fritter that they do not offer on the Mainland. I have to admit that I have been spoiled by the«hot» light being on quite often at the one at home so the glazed is often still warm. But even in comparison to the other options I have had that are not just freshly baked, I felt that the pineapple fritter and the salted caramel special tasted like it had been sitting out all day. So my advice would be to get it in the morning when they are most likely still fresh or if you see the hot light on, go for the glazed.

This is currently the only Krispy Kreme in Hawaii. It’s a great, easy place to stop on the way to the airport to pick up omiyage for friends and family on the neighbor islands. They have a drive thru which makes it even easier to make that quick stop. If you stop in when their hot donuts sign is on, you can get a free donut fresh off the conveyer belt. They have a wide variety of donuts and have seasonal flavors also. I usually just get the original glazed which is available for $ 16.00 for 2 dozen.

We love that it’s located near the airport. I knocked off a star because we had to ask for our free donut even though the Hot sign was on. And we were told that they normally only give a half for the hot sign. Krispy Kreme on Maui! How great is that.

This is a nice Krispy Kreme, and it’s the only one in Hawaii(go Maui! Yay more carbs!). They have standard donuts people love, but, after being on the mainland for so long, they also have some different donuts they don’t have at the mainland Krispy Kremes, like a maple bar! What I would’ve done for a maple bar when I was exiled to the Midwest for 8 years… I’ve also seen things like pineapple fritters. The service is good and friendly. Just ask for your free donut when you’re there with the hot light on if they don’t offer it to you. The donuts I bought were greatly appreciated at work.

Here’s a riddle for the locals… Q: How can you tell if someone just flew in from Maui? A: They’re carrying a box of a dozen or more donuts from Krispy Kreme. Maui is the only island that has a Krispy Kreme and fortunately, it’s near the airport so that’s typically everyone’s last stop in Kahului before heading to the airport and I’m no exception. They have a fairly large location and nice displays and a good variety of donuts that are fairly priced. Their coffee is pretty good but their iced coffee drinks taste like mostly sugar. Customer service was OK and they have a drive thru. The next time I’m in Maui, Krispy Kreme will be my last stop before going to the airport again.

When we got on the shuttle bus, after dropping off the rental car, the driver said«Hawaiian?». I laughed, and said he must know we’re local because of the huge Krispy Kreme bag we were hand carrying back. He laughed and said«Yeah, it’s as good as a boarding pass»(that you are going to another island). $ 15.65 gets you 2 dozen Original Glazed Donuts. Keep them in the fridge(if they last that long) and reheat them in the microwave for 8 – 10 seconds just before you’re ready to eat. It not as good as a donut right off the conveyor belt, but it’s the best us Oahu folk can do. They of course have a variety of toppings/fillings, but for me, a hot Original Glazed is the best!
