On Father’s day weekend, 2012, Melissa McCoy of McCoy Travel literally closed up her office without notice to her customers or employees, leaving untold numbers of clients in limbo, without their money, without their travel being paid for, and without a lot of recourse.
I was one of those customers affected, as I had a group trip in the works through her company where many of my customers had already paid by check to get the «cash discount» rate and they had no way to get their money back. Some of my customers were able to file fraud claims with their credit card companies and get reimbursed for credit card payments.
Luckily for us, our trips were ultimately saved by one of McCoy’s discarded employees.
I am submitting this review in 2015 because it has come to my attention that McCoy Travel is back in business and I see a new website is up and running.
If you are thinking of using McCoy Travel, buyer beware: Melissa McCoy has no conscience, no scruples, and has still NOT reimbursed me and my customers. If it happened to me, it could happen to you.

McCoy Travel gave us very good recommendations on our recent vacation to Maui. Being a family of 5, it is very difficult to find the right place to stay at and have everyone be happy. In addition, we don’t want to break the bank when we go on vacation. Melissa recommended Sugar Beach Resort. Once at the resort, the views were absolutely breathtaking! We enjoyed many long walks and everyone was so nice there. She even recommended the Haleakala Zipline which was so much fun! We would definitely use McCoy Travel on our next visit to Maui.

McCoy was instrumental in planning my neighbor island Valentines day spree to the Four Seasons Lanai. We were upgraded and were treated like royalty by the staff. Her personal relationships with everyone make YOU feel like «an insider» when it comes to a 4-​star vacation experience.

Sadly McCoy Travel has just declared BANKRUPTCY. My family and I have some work cut out for us getting our money back. :-(THIS SUCKS !!!
