Went here on our last day in Hawaii. We had a few hours to kill before our flight and played in the arcade and watched the old people play tournaments in the bowling alley. Those people are soo cute! LOL For $ 20 it took us about an hour to go through and we got enough tickets to get us some candy pieces. LOL We would definitely come here next time. It’s such a relaxed environment. After that we went to get some Poke next door in a kiosk and it was just so damn good! WE miss Hawaii =(

We came here at night on Sunday since it was lightening so bad! Such a great deal! We got all you can bowl for $ 19 each including shoes and the best part is you get tickets whenever you make a strike/spare! We played a couple arcade games and ended up spending our tickets on some disappearing ink that I wanted to spill all over my sister once I got home. Your never too old to play jokes on your siblings right? Our Kalua pork nachos were the size of my head(big) and stuffed with toppings galore. The chewy brownie Sunday comes in this giant cup/bowl with God knows how many scoops and the strawberry shortcake were so delish! Just like how you’d make it at home. Basically this was a great way to spend our night!

Such a fun place for the whole family! What a gem for Kona town. Great food at chubby’s(inside), bowling, arcade, bar, pool tables. Very clean, and nice. Would definitely return if we lived in Kona.

If you need something to do in Kona, this is the place to be. The arcade is like Fun Factory. The games give you tickets you can trade for prizes. Even when you bowl, you earn tickets. The place gets crowded at dinnertime. The line for food can be 10 – 15 deep. The portions are large so if you eat in, there are take out containers. The Teri beef is excellent. The meat is soft and the sauce is just right, not overwhelming. The mac salad is old school, with tuna inside. The hamburger steak was served with mushrooms and onions. The fried noodles with bbq chicken was good. The noodles had a good flavor with the char siu and chicken mix. The place is well maintained. The bathrooms are clean The people at the bowling counter were nice and helpful. The people at the food counter were nice too.

My girls and i went out tonight for a much needed girls night to sing some karaōke and such. We arrived and quickly got some song orders in and then had some drinks. There were not many people in there maybe 5 at the most. To make a long story short the girl that«works» the karaōke room was rarely in there and mostly hung out at the bar. People were singing songs«raunchy» style by adding in nasty words to make them all perverse it was disgusting. They have no one in there paying attention to that kind of thing, nobody wants to hear that. Plus she wouldnt play the songs in order. She was playing favorites to the locals of the karaōke bar and playing like 10 of their songs to 1 of ours. We had babies to get home to so we ended up leaving before we actually got to sing songs we had ALREADY paid for!!! She was ridiculous. Why even have someone in there? She was either hanging out at the bar or outaide smoking a cigarette while we had our songs bumped to the bottom of the list even though we had already paid long before the other groups. It was such a waste of an evening. Boo on you kona.

Hawaiian heaven. Let me just say, I never EVER turn down an opportunity to eat here. Everything I’ve ever tried has been delicious! The teriyaki beef is tender and yummy beyond words. The short ribs are to die for. The fish is fresh. The korean chicken is bomb. The pancakes are tasty. I’ve been up down around and back on this menu and I’m always left satisfied. Even if they’re busy, they still give you good service and you get your meal fast. You cant ask for moh betta. Ps. Don’t skip out on the fried rice option! It’s really good.

Had a good time here bowling with a few drinks, pretty good prices and a discount for checking in which was good. Had a few problems with pins getting stuck/not resetting but they ended up just moving lanes and that fixed it. Overall would recommend coming here if in Kona, bit of fun if you’re looking for something to do!

Super Bowl Extravaganza was awesome. Food and cash giveaways was a big surprise. Too bad Broncos played so poorly. Otherwise it would have been a perfect afternoon.

Came here when we were vacationing during the summer and wow, I wish we had a bowling alley like that here in Oahu. For one, it’s huge! & very modern and clean. I also like how they have an arcade and small diner. It was also cool how when you bowl you earn tickets that you can get prizes for. I can’t forget about their oxtail soup! One of the best I’ve ever had!!! They give a lot of meat and the broth was perfect. I can’t wait to go back next time we’re on Big Island.

This place is honestly awesome. Great for the whole family. My three year old loved it & the kiddie bumpers & bowling assisting rack were great for her! The staff is cordial & friendly & the food is great! Large, yummy, fresh portions at very reasonable prices. If in Kona & looking for a fun indoors alternative with kiddos, check them out. Real fun for everyone! There’s also a bar & karaōke.

Bored? Kona Bowl is a Great fun place for bowling, having a few drinks and good food! Located behind Sack-n-Save Kona Bowl has everything for everyone, Arcade area, lots of flat screen TV’s, Full bar, Restaurant, Karaōke Room and a room in back for small parties. After a night of drinking and bowling we tried out the oxtail soup from the restaurant(Chubby’s Diner). I really don’t know how they fit so much meat in one bowl! It’s was really good drunk food! Check out their LauLau plate on weekends, Massive! Great spot for family and friends to get together and have a fun time! Check it out!

This place is super awesome. Came here on a Sunday night to bowl, and then again during the afternoon for the arcade and some food. Expect to pay ~10 for a meal. From what I saw, portions are very decent. I only got fries, but they were really good! By the time we left the diner(Chubby’s Diner) it was PACKED, always a good sign. The staff is really nice and helpful. Our first night there, the attendant was so great helping us get set up to bowl. After 9pm there is a deal, $ 10 per person for unlimited bowling, plus $ 3 for shoes. Our group of 5 bowled for nearly 3 hours, it was so much fun, even when we gutter balled! Even my 3-year-old niece was really into it. The bowling and bar area are super cool. Laser lights on the walls, very modern design. Near the bar there is a TV and lounge area with an Xbox(I assume one can play), as well as the standard bar and stools. The drink prices are okay, I wish they were stronger for the price. They do have cheap domestic beers, though. The arcade is what you would expect, with all the standard games. Nothing special, but not bad, either. KBXtreme is on my list of must-stops when in the Kona area.

Talk about a big nice bowling alley! It’s very different from the ones on Oahu. It was weird that on a Sunday night it seemed empty. I would say there 7 – 10 lanes being used out of the 20+ lanes in the bowling alley. Off to the corner there is a restaurant called Chubby’s There also was a cool looking bar. Overall the place looked modern with the fancy lights and there were fun factory style games for young kids and giant tvs playing sports. Music with a lot of bass was playing. The whole time there I was just wondering, where is all the people?

Rating: 4⁄5(There’s always room for improvement) Date visited: 6⁄2010 Food: 3⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Parking: 3⁄5 Great place for both kids and adults. Just get the kids out by a certain time, because this one time I went with family, they had some sort of bikini contest of some sort for the adults. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a regularly scheduled event. Food: Nothing to write home about. Service: Friendly local staff Atmosphere: Super modern. Love the night bowling. Price: Reasonable for what they offer. Parking: A lot.
