Great pizza! It’s a mix between pan and thin crust. One really cool thing is u can get any toppings u want made to order by the slice. It was quick service and delicious pizza I’d be a regular if I lived here. :)

We did take-out here. The pizza was above average and worked well for a quick meal. It doesn’t appear to be much of a sit down restaurant as there is just a few tables in a large room. Seemed kind of odd to me. The location is convenient to the bars and night life in the area.

We stopped by Mahina Pizza while at the shopping center. We initially missed it; it can be kind of hard to see. It’s upstairs by a Thai restaurant, across from Boss Frogs and some parrots. The food is delicious; I particularly liked the Five O pizza with crushed macadamia nuts. Highly recommend!

Ordinary pizza, nothing special and not great by any means.(The dough can’t possibly be homemade, it tastes like nothing and made me sad.) But, it’s cheap, the service was pleasant, and the wait was short. If you’re looking for a cheap, semi-decent pizza then this will work.

This pizza was fantastic! Great service, great atmosphere! The food was super fresh, and they had really creative custom pizzas(I had the Baja– it’s like a burrito on a pizza and is just incredible). As a vegetarian, they catered well to me with a ton(like 5!!) of options rather than the usual generic«veggie pizza». Mahalo!

Excellent Pizza. Worth the search to find it. Best pizza in Kona. The Poi Dog pizza was superb. The cheesecake was super delicious too.

This place is delicious! We needed a break from island food and Unilocal reviews were spot on with this place. Pizza is amazing. We had the anti pasta salad and the Poi Dog pizza. Both I would get again. It is hard to find, but worth it. Look for the Thai place and it is across from there. Also they have CHEESECAKE from Island Creations 808 Cheesecake. We got the Lilikoi(Passion Fruit) and it was so good.

Good pizza for the price especially for the price. Hard to find. There is no sign on the street.

A bit hard to find — it’s up the stairs next to the Thai place. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The pizza was really good quality(had feared it’d be catering just to tourists and therefore be not great). They carried a local selection of cheesecake too which was fantastic.

Based on Unilocal reviews we tried this place in Kona. Wow. We were impressed. The young guy waiting tables was probably the owners kid, he was sweet and very good. I wish this place had more signage — we literally walked around trying to find it. Business was sparse. Too bad more don’t know are don’t see this place. Upstairs by Thai restaurant. Honestly find this place. You won’t be sorry.

Probably one of the top three places I have ever had pizza… And that is including making my own home. The places will be difficult to find, and is definitely a local hang out… Bring your own beer or wine and leave it in the commercial refrigerator inside the restaurant. Pizza is thin crust well made and incredibly tasty you will not be disappointed! This is the place to go if you want really fantastic pizza in Kailua.

Owner is super friendly by far the best PIZZA place in Kona. And I’m from Kona. My kids loves this place. Good portion. ***********

The Five-O pizza was so good that we had to come back and order a bigger one. Love the pizza here. In my opinion it’s better than what I had in Florence. (Sorry. I just realized that I never posted this review for back when I checked in to this place a couple of years ago. 2011 I think. If you’re in Kaliua Kona and this place is still around, definitely check it out.)

An 18″ pie for $ 18, in KONA! Nice! She made it fast, it was well made, tasted great! This was only my first time there, and basically got a simple 2-veggy pie. Not much to judge on, but its a humble venue with no pretentious ego. You get big, tasty pizza for a more than reasonable price in Kona! The dining room is upstars, open-air, across the street from Kope Lani(and to the left a bit) on the«correct» side of the street– that is, the sun won’t bake and blind you! The fußball table is a nice touch! Get your growler filled at Kona Brew and BYOB at Mahina Pizza!

Great antipasti salad and a sausage and olive pizza. Their crust is thin and crispy.

Thanks Unilocal’ers for the recommendation for this little joint in Kona. Definitely easy to overlook on Alii drive(upstairs next to Thai restaurant). Very tasty pizzas and salads. It seems more tailored to takeout, but we enjoyed lunch to ourselves in the little terrace overlooking Alli drive. Pizza crust is homemade… Great crunch and nice crispness. It’s BYOB. There is an ABC right down the road, so plan accordingly.

The crust had a nice consistency to it, wasn’t over cheesy or saucy but it was too conservative. Nothing special. It’s a great place if you are looking for a quick, basic pizza but if you really want a PIZZA, wouldn’t be my first choice.

Couldn’t find a lot to do or eat during our vacation but Gem found this little spot while strolling around with Logan. You can’t really see it — unless you’re across the street and decide to look up. The place was fairy empty when we got it — just one party taking up the middle of the restaurant. I like the open space but the place could use some new furniture — or just furniture in general. We ordered a salad and a pizza and then sat around for it to come out. The food comes out pretty slow but there didn’t seem like a lot of people actually working so not a big deal. The antipasto salad was really good and the pizza was even better. I felt like it was one of the better meals I had while I was over here. I would definitely come back to eat here again the next time I’m back on the island. The place is BYOB too.

This pizza was a food highlight of our trip. You have to wait a bit for your pizza so don’t go starving. But it is well worth the wait. the Chef makes the dough fresh. A little tip, don’t use googlemaps to locate it. It’s not where it says it is in the little shopping plaza. Stay on the street and don’t go in the plaza, it by the Thai place, up stairs. Not a fancy place, perfect for a lazy evening in flipflops and shorts after a day in the sun.

*Cash Only *BYOB On a weekday evening, we found a sleepy 2nd floor pizza joint, with apparently one lady running the show. Relatively short menu keeps the ordering simple. We ordered the Kilauea pizza ala carte since they ran out of salads. Plenty of room for big groups, and has a view of Ali’i blvd.
