Horrible customer service! My wife was on FaceTime with her mother to make a purchase. The owner rudely and with attitude approached my wife a stated«I would prefer you not take pictures in my store». When my wife stated that she was not taking pictures, but only on FaceTime to show her mother the nice jewelry. The owner then stated«well that’s good» again with attitude. I must say my wife is a jewelry fanatic. Unfortunately this lady will never have our patronage!

Nice store with nice stuff. We bought two pair of ear rings. We had a slight problem with the owner accidentally overcharging, but she responded and removed the charge in a timely manner. Thanks for everything.

Stumbled upon this little shop while waiting to eat at Cinnamon’s. Who would have known this spot would be such a hidden gem. The lady who owns the shop made a personal connection with my mom. My father passed away just a few months ago and the money spent in that shop was worth more than months of therapy. Beautiful store with unique items for decorating island style and wonderful service. Everyone should give this shop a look see and support our small local businesses here on island.

I honestly don’t know how this lady stays in business. I live in Kailua and had seen something in the store while waiting to eat at the restaurant across from it. A few weeks later I got to thinking about that item and called to see if it was available. No one answered so I left a messge — TWICE — she never returned my call. So I just go to the place, fighting the parking lot as that restaurant is a busy, busy place, and much to my dismay she’s not open and its a Saturday after 10AM. I learned from the restaurant employees that she has no set business hours and that she may or may not open. Very unfortunate for such a cute place and great location.

Tourist Trap… plain and simple. Items are overpriced. Most of them could be bought at Walgreen’s around the corner.

I recently visited this shop after eating at a nearby restaurant and it had been awhile since I had shopped here. Boy, I am glad that I did. It is such a sweet little shop and I love to see what the owner brings in. Through the years I have picked up various home décor items here and I have to say, she always has really charming and unique products. She has a great variety! Her jewelry products are beautiful and I ended up buying a couple of sets for Christmas gifts. I also love the art she sells by local artists. This is a wonderful shop and I highly recommend it anytime of the year, but I definitely encourage people to stop in and pick up some quaint items for Christmas gifts &/or décor. The owner is more than willing to help and you can tell she loves her shop!

A respectful small shop owner that really needs help managing her business affairs. I spent over $ 500 purchasing a hand-knit Hawaiian quilt, matching pillow shams, and some other gifts for my family after browsing this store with my fiancée just three days short of five months ago. Unfortunately at the time of purchase, the owner did not have the colors that my fiancée liked in-stock, so we placed an order with her to be fulfilled within 2 – 3 weeks, or at least that was the timeline we were assured of when we bought them. The owner also copied my contact info and personally guaranteed that she would call me back when the items arrived in the upcoming few weeks. No such phone call was made. Furthermore, she made zero attempts to contact me or my fiancée to give us any indication of the status of our order. Additionally, the contact number on the receipt from the store had a full voicemail box for months, on which I could leave no messages; even when I did leave a message, I heard no further updates. Finally, after several drives from Central Oahu to Kailua during my weekends off prior to a training deployment with my unit(April-June), I managed to linkup face-to-face with the owner to receive an update on the order. At that time, she said they still didn’t have the color we originally ordered despite the fact that nearly two months had already elapsed since the time of purchase. The excuse the owner submitted was that she had no control over the timeline, color, or pattern of the hand-knit items because they are produced by an elderly woman on the Big Island(essentially, no control over the manufacturer of a product she sells to paying customers at her store). So, I resorted to choosing an alternate color quilt, yet the matching pillow shams were not present. Once again, she assured me that they would arrive within the following few weeks and that she would notify me on my cell with relevant updates to their status. Her assurance was for naught as I have yet to receive the full order my fiancée and I purchased nearly five full months ago on February 23, 2014. Since placing the order, I completed a full 45-day training deployment with my unit to California, redeployed, and have continued trying to get some kind of update from A Summer Place Boutique. Nothing heard from their end and zero indication of whether I will ever get the full $ 500 plus dollar purchase I made earlier this year. I learned and am continuing to be subjected to learning the hard way on something I considered to be simple and fullproof previously. I do not recommend this place based solely on my experience described above. This store/store owner needs some serious help/revamping before I could ever fathom pointing anybody towards it. To the store owner: please find my pillow shams or I will find you for a refund. This purchase was not worth waiting five months to receive it.

Simple place to kill time while waiting for your table at Cinnamon’s. Stuff is slightly overpriced and generic, nothing you can’t get at any other shop. The lady who runs it doesn’t like kids and is rude to the parents upon their presence, even if they are being carried and not walking around touching merchandise. I didn’t realize how uptight this place would be until I saw several signs with rules outside the store. I recommend going to one of the other stores in the vicinity.
