Aloha Swim

This refers to the Kauai store, off of Kuhio Parkway, in the Safeway lot.
Buyer beware! Be absolutely certain of your purchase, even if only for over priced running tights. You WILL be denied a refund & treated harshly.
Despite not printing «No Returns» on their receipts, not verbably stating all sales are final and covering the hand written «No Returns» sign that is scotch taped to the counter top, the store operator refused to issue a refund. The seller also lied, stating the policy was printed on the receipt; it was not. When shown the receipt, her response was, «I’ll have to put it (No Returns) on there,» not the more customer friendly response, «Sorry, my oversight. I’ll issue a refund.» She promptly told me to leave and threatened to revoke her coworker’s offer of an exchange. As imagined, this environment was now very uncomfortable for a teen to pick another item. Worker Scott blamed «Corporate» for the non negotiable no return policy and refused to give me a phone contact, saying he was prohibited from doing so; he offered to take my number to forward. A web search showed 808.294.1761 & 808.294.1964 for Aloha Swim and that their online store accepts returns. I will phone & I hope to amend this review. Until then, Caveat Emptor @ Aloha Swim in Kauai.

Love this place, they carry large cup sizes for us larger chested women! Michelle was fantastic, she help me with anything I needed. Once we figured out my size she went on the hunt for me and found me some awesome swimwear. I will be back and will be recommending this place to everyone.

Being a bigger chested woman, I have a hard time finding bathing suit tops that fit and actually cover at other stores. One of my friends in Kailua suggested I go to this shop and loved it. I found all kinds of tops that could fit a 36 F size and larger.

Talk about a hidden gem! It’s Hawaii, folks. You can buy a bikini at the drugstore! What makes Aloha Swim different (and better!) is the service. I tried on at least two dozen bottoms until we found the perfect compliment to cover my gigantic ass. The suits are great colors & patterns, and everything is sold separately so you can mix and match bottoms (I got a blue and brown top and solid brown bottoms) and get something that looks less «I need something more tropical than I brought on this vacation» and more «Oh, this old thing? I go to the beach every day!»
The clothing is super cute, too. I bought two long-​sleeve sweater tops (apparently the owner had a bit of confusion when purchasing items) which are PERFECT for the fall back home in Chicago. To top off a great find, we were given the Kama’aina (Hawaiian resident) discount of 20% off!

My first visit was fine, great selection of suits and they were having a sale which made the typical boutique mark up a little more reasonable. However, upon returning to the store with a co-​worker, it was a huge disappointment. An employee stating that she was «the one in charge», was extremely rude and irritable. My co-​worker had inquired about exchanging a bikini top bought the week prior. After being scolded for missing tags, she stated «this isn’t Macy’s» and reported she would only honor the exchange because she was, again, «the one in charge». As an employee in the Kailua area, we were embarassed by the way that this small business is conducting themselves. Apparently customer service is reserved for department stores only?

Technically in Kailua, right next to Kailua Sailboards, crazy swimsuit shop. I mean, they have suits everywhere, this But be ready to pay, ’cause Barbie ain’t cheap.
