Came here and the restaurant was gone. Very disappointed. I was really looking forward to their food.

What a great little dive! I had the steak and shrimp, my date had garlic shrimp and teriyaki chicken. Nice surprise! We had heard about this place and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We hit it just right. It wasn’t busy when we walked in, and right after we ordered, the line went out the door. A lot of local construction guys love this place, a few cops, many tourists, lots of locals. It was fun to just hang out and watch everyone. The outdoor seating made it not too crowded. We were there in the middle of the week, early August for lunch.

I had the garlic tuna. It was very good. Wife had the garlic shrimp… Also very good. We had a shaved ice afterwards. Also very good. I would come back if I’m in the area again.

Garlic shrimp are the way to go! Also had some of the best coconut shrimp ever. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but you won’t be disappointed with the food. Probably best suited for take out as their drink selection is limited and no public restrooms.

Ordered takeout for the first time for dinner. I ordered the garlic shrimp and teriyaki chicken mixed plate. The garlic that is used is not my cup of tea… it doesn’t taste like garlic… it’s minced and on the sweeter side. I couldn’t even tell I was eating garlic… boooo on that! The garlic fries were the same. The fries were good where the garlic wasn’t, which is sad cause I’m a garlic lover! My daughter and I just ended up scraping off the garlic! On another note tho, the teriyaki chicken was delicious and so was the mac salad that came with it!

Great place to get plate lunches in Kailua. Located next to Keolu Beers and The Shack… right on Keolu Drive. The place is small, but they offer a lot of choices plus their famous fish tacos, garlic shrimp and steak plates. We opted to try their boneless kalbi which they offer in 2 sizes. I ordered the small(8 oz) which comes with a choice of fries, potato/mac or tossed salad. It was on the sweeter side, tender and full of flavor. Our other choice was the garlic ahi sandwich(with fries). It was delicious. A substantial piece of ahi, and it was moist(not dry). There was a lot of chopped garlic on the top, and I was tempted to take some of it off, but the garlic *bite* turned out to be mild. They’re open from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm. Unlike their sister shack in Waimanalo they don’t serve breakfast. They just opened early in February. I can’t wait to try the smoked meat, pulled pork and roast pork. Great addition to Kailua!
