If you read my reviews often, you know I’m all about deals… so, paying $ 8+ for a sandwich isn’t my ideal situation. There was very little wait time and i was the only one in there since i came at an off time. The sandwich? Delicious. I love that they add sprouts and they have awesome ingredients with fresh bread! They do use a bit too much mayo, but now I know to request light. I also wish the cashier would have mentioned that it’s extra to add cheese. She asked if I was OK with provolone and of course I was all about it, then I realized my total of $ 9 something and realized the extra charge. Overall, the sandwich was delicious but maybe not worth the price tag, I’d be more tempted at a slightly cheaper sandwich shop since there wasn’t much to me that stood out here. Probably much more worth it if you’re ordering a specialty sandwich with more(unique) ingredients.

Wish I could give more then 5 stars! This place is hands down the best sandwich shop we have ever had. The bread is the best part. They use boars head meats which make the sandwiches. We get Timmy T’s at least 2 a week. So glad we found them! Keep up the good work!

Nice deli, first time trying a sandwich shop on the windward side. I ordered the number 12. Club Kailua with Boars Head oven baked roasted turkey. The bread they use has a unique taste the servings including cucumbers are fresh and huge. The sandwich it self is completely filling no chips or sides needed. If you craving something different from subway and on windward side this place with going to. Only downside are benches outside of shop have very little shade after 1045 am gets pretty hot.

Well… I will start by saying I am a sami snob because I own a sami shop in Chico CA… They are finishing the bread fresh in the store and had some in oven so we had the Hawaiian rolls except for me… I had the thick sliced wheat… everyone was happy with their sami’s…I myself had the #16…lanikai Luau… its marked in red on the menu which indicates its one of the favorites according to a helpful staffer… everything was super yummy. The boreshead brand meats are very tasty. I went back inside and had a great convo w the manager Asia and some of the staff. I would highly recommend this place. Tasty breads, fun staff, it may seem like a national brand store when you walk in, but admittedly they bought some of their racks and baking equipment from«those guys». I buy second hand equipment all the time. Another smart move IMHO… only suggestion I would make is to find a way to crisp up the bacon. Both my 12 year old’s blt and my sami(turkey &bacon) would hv even rocked more if the bacon had was crispy and even warm… tx guys for tasty food and super nice staff!!! Definitely on our list next time we want sami’s in Kialua

Poor service for delivery(still waiting after 30 minutes) and poor response from manager. No, I do not want a cookie for your lack of timeliness. This is the second time I’ve ordered for delivery and this has happened. ETA: it took over 45 minutes to have 3 sandwiches. I will not support Timmy T’a as a small business any longer. You’re nothing but a knock off Jimmy Johns.

I’m just disappointed it took us so long to try this place. Ordered Da Vinny and it was so good! The bread was fresh and love the sweetness to it. If you’re watching your carbs they also offer any sandwich in a lettuce wrap(unwich). IMO the bread is totally worth the extra carbs. Don’t forget the jumbo pickle and a cookie. Service was great and fast. Everyone working there was super friendly. Definitely reminded us of Jimmy John’s on the mainland, but cheaper. Well be back for sure!

Love this place. They are fast, friendly, very clean, there is a kid menu, and they deliver. I ordered Da Vinny for myself and sister and a provolone keiki sandwich for my four year old. Everyone was happy. The cookies sealed the deal! The staff was awesome as always, working hard and still keeping a positive vibe! I will recommend them for sure.

5 stars for delivery in Kailua! They had a sandwich at my doorstep in 11 minutes of hanging up the phone! The sandwich was definitely made with fresh ingredients(you can raste the difference) and the bread was nothing short of delicious. TimmyT’s will definitely have my repeat business. Tip: use the numbers on the menu to shorten you order over the phone.

Best. Sandwich. EVER. I haven’t had a good one since I moved here and Timmy T’s is my go-to now. I’ve had Stortos in Haleiwa, and it doesn’t even come close. Timmy T’s Gourmet Grinders are way better — freshly baked bread right in the shop, they use all Boars Head products(awesome), not to mention they do NOT skimp on the proteins or toppings. At any other sandwich shop, I always order double protein because I swear, they give you one slice of turkey, one slice of ham, and 3 pounds of lettuce. Not up in here! These guys know how to serve a quality food product, and you definitely get your money’s worth. A side note — the first time I went in, I was looking at the menu, and one of the guys behind the counter saw one of our Air Force’s finest walking up to the door. The owner, Tom, said«In shop!» Before she even came in, he addressed her by name, and said the sandwich was already made for her. I think it was a number 12 with no sprouts. She laughed, they talked for a bit, and she was on her way. Could not believe the level of customer service here. These guys are awesome.

Have eaten here twice in the past two days. I haven’t found a good quality deli sandwich shop on Oahu until I came to Timmy’s. They used fresh bread rolls and boars head deli meat(which is the best quality) in the subs. I will continue to come here and tell other people about it. Too bad I live in Waikiki but work in Kailua. They need to open one up in Waikiki! If you’ve ever been to Jimmy Johns that is back In the mainland, Timmys is equal or better to them. Quick service and super good, and they deliver.

If you ever been a place where they seem to not only know your sandwich but call you by name? If so, you have probably been to Timmy Tom’s(Now known as Timmy T’s!) They may have shortened the name, but they should add another«T» for Terrific! In fact, they are now known to me as TRIPLE T’s! The crew here amplifies the spirit of ALOHA with a triple layer of ONO! Mahalo for bringing the BEST Grommet Grinds on the Island!

Delicious sandwiches made with Boar’s Head meat and cheeses! We ordered the #9 Goodfella and the #12 Club Kailua with a jumbo pickle on the side(pregnancy must have). We definitely liked the Goodfella better. Quality ingredients and that soft sweet bread yum! Great friendly service and you can eat with your furry friend outside on the benches.

Not wanting to waste a trip to Kailua Town, I checked my Unilocal Phone App to see what I had Bookmarked… there was Timmy Tom’s! It wasn’t on the top of my list, but I saw Kathy A.‘s, Lynne H.‘s, and Nat N.‘s reviews. They kinda swayed me, even though I wasn’t in a sandwich mood. I did remember seeing Emi on TV, and after reading her creative review, I headed on over there, using my GPS. Street PARKING was easy to find on a Saturday afternoon. Metered stalls along the street were plentiful since this shop is located on a less busy street(Hoolai Street). It’s off of the main Kailua Road. The EMPLOYEES were FUNNY! I was kinda grouchy, tired & hungry(after a Beach Clean-up) and they persisted in trying to make me laugh! I was just staring at the menu in a dazed state, while they were attempting to get a response out of my zombie-like presence! Hey — when I’m dehydrated and sun-burnt, I’m not even thinking! So, I give them 5 Stars for bringing me out of my coma… especially when they tossed the wrapped sandwich at me like a football and I caught it! Fortunately, I was a Line Backer in High School! LOL! I was not aware of the significance of the«Boar’s Head» label — wow. Now I know. It’s quality ingredients! Like Nat said — I will have a difficult time having a Subway from now on. Really. When I got it home, I was just going to taste it and take a nap. I could not sleep. I kept opening up the wrapper and taking another bite. Eventually, the sandwich was gone. I don’t know how it happened, but the flavor was hauntingly good. I kept wrapping it back up and placing it in the refrigerator, but my taste buds couldn’t get enough of that Goodfella(#9). I think the zombie in me kept opening up the refrigerator. Good thing Kailua is relatively far away because I think I might be there every day… oh, oh — I just remembered that I forgot to ask for the pickle! I gotta go back & get it!

If reviews were based on friendliness and service instead of the food it would be 5 stars. The Goodfellows Sandwich was decent but not great. In fact the Roll it comes on is way too sweet. The ingredients are good but not enough of them, especially for the $ 8.99 price. Way too much Mayo and we like Mayo. Overall Safeway has a much better Sandwich for the Same price and has twice the ingredients.

This little sandwich joint is located in Kailua next to Boston’s Pizza. They offer a variety of sub sandwiches made with Boars Head meats and cheeses. A nice change from Subway. Once you step foot into this joint, it makes you feel as if you are at a Deli in New York City. The employees greet you with a loud, but friendly welcome. In their welcome, you will hear that New York accent. Behind the counter, you will notice quite a bit of workers crafting these special little bundles of joy. I couldn’t believe that a little sandwich joint would have so many sandwich«Ooompa Loompa’s» Anyway, on to my sandwich. I ordered«Da Vinny.» This sandwich was made on a homemade white hoagie roll filled with salami, capicolla, provolone, mayo and topped off with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and white onions. I loved every bite of my sandwich. The bread was«to die for,» and the meats were tasty and not to salty. I wish there were more meat in the sandwich ;0( Overall, I liked my sandwich. If you need a break from Subway, go and try Timmy Tom’s. Good service and good sandwiches. Forgot to mention, be ready to catch your sandwich! You’ll know what I mean when you go there. Hee, hee, hee.

After eating a sub from Timmy Tom’s, you’ll never step foot in Subway ever again. Everything from the service to the bread to the quality of meat and cheese is so much better here. I love that they take phone orders. Don’t know what’s on the menu? Scan through the business photos and you’ll find multiple pics of the menu. Still don’t know what to order? Try The VINNY. Can’t go wrong with salami, capicola, and provolone cheese. I cut mine in half and saved half for the next day, and it held up pretty well. If you don’t mind sharing a sandwich with your partner, consider ordering«Da Big Kahuna» and splitting it in half. It’s large enough for two people. There is no inside seating but they have a few picnic tables outside for customers. Footnote: If you look at my photos you’ll see a sandwich called«King Kamehameha». It’s not on the menu, and I’m not sure if it’s an official off-menu item either. But my husband asked for it and paid $ 14 for it. It looks like Da Big Kahuna, but $ 3 more.

There are plenty of sub sandwich shops in the isles, but very few actually know how to make a proper sub sandwich. Then comes Timmy Tom’s. Nestled in the corner next to Boston’s Pizza, this modest location cranks out some sandwich gems. Wife and I went here on Valentine’s Day because we are pros and realized that dinner everywhere else would be a crowded subpar experience with the throngs of Valentines Day goers. We had the bench to ourselves at Timmy Tom’s. And it takes a bench to handle the large sandwiches they offer here. Wife got The Bradah with roast beef, and I got the Vinny. The Vinny comes with shredded lettuce, cold cuts and a nice vinegarette, this sandwich reminded me of a sub place I used to frequent as a kid on the mainland. I have not had that experience in Hawaii until now at Timmy Tom’s. The soft Italian homemade bread reminds me of the kind I had on a Philly Cheesesteak I actually had in downtown Philadelphia. Wife’s Roast Beef sandwich was good too. Her only«beef» with it was that there was too much mayo. However, staff is quick to point out that you can order any condiment on any of their sandwiches in whatever proportion you want. These guys are quick too. Our sandwiches were done barely after we paid for them. In contrast, I have to wait at Subway a good 5 minutes on a «fast» day. These guys offer another unique service: they deliver! As far as a Valentine’s dinner… if your partner can’t handle the love these guys put in their sandwiches, then maybe you’re with the wrong partner.

It has to pretty darn good or intriguing to drive from Halawa Heights to Kailua on a rainy Sunday evening. Watched Emi’s segment on KITV and convinced the family this could be our new go to place for Sammies! Pulled up a menu posted and gave everyone their choices. Three Vinnys, one Tuna, one Big Kahuna, one Cowboy. Off I went for the beautiful drive on the H3 to Kailua. The shop is so small I drove past it even though I knew it was next door to Boston Pizza and Moke’s. Street parking secured and right up to the counter. The owner is Tom and his son is the Timmy part of the store name. Very personable and strive to get the orders right the first time. Read off my list and they started building. Well, skeptical as my family can be when trying new sandwich places they all ordered extra meat on their Sammies. Too funny because the amount of meat is a good portion to begin with and almost too much when doubled. Tom said not to double down on the Big Kahuna as it is huge, damn he knows his business. The Bread, capital letter in deference to quality, is so fresh and flavorful with the texture to hold up to the Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. The sandwiches are artfully put together with the ingredients noted on the menu and you can subtract or add as you want. Fresh fresh fresh! The dressing and herbs add to the goodness and finish. GETTHATPICKLE. Big, sour pickle, I’m in love with Timmy Toms and will be back very soon!

My Love Affair With Timmy Tom: I went on a first date with Timmy Tom and it was kind of a disaster. He seemed sweet, organized and well put together until he made the fatal mistake of forgetting my pickle. Everything began to unravel as I bit into a Vinny sandwich he made for me which ended up being a total disappointment. Where was the substance I was looking for? Not in my sandwich that’s for sure. Plus he didn’t listen and put way too much mayo. I’ve seen this scenario so many times, a man who promises but doesn’t follow through! This is why I hate dating!!! I left dismayed and swore off sandwiches for awhile. I’d be going back to dating plate lunches although I knew that wasn’t going to make me happy. But Timmy Tom was really persistent and told me he’d make it up to me one day. If I had a dollar for every time I heard that from a restaurant I’d have a million dollars! Well probably not a million, more like $ 87, but doesn’t a million sound way more impressive? I gave Timmy Tom a second chance and guess what, he did what every woman yearns for from every man and sandwich: HELISTENED!!! He made me Da Big Kahuna sandwich, light on the mayo as I had originally requested and he remembered my pickle! All wrapped up in a big beautiful Boars Head lunch box that included a pickle, bag of chips and the most amazing oatmeal cookie!!! Oh Timmy Tom, if I wasn’t already married to a real live man I just might marry you because sandwiches rarely talk back. But in all seriousness I am impressed with my sandwich redo and it was truly a Unilocal hail Mary! Owners Thomas and Timmy Tom made me the most perfect Big Kahuna sandwich yesterday and basically that’s what I ate for breakfast, lunch and linner(this is my inbetween lunch and dinner snack). If you are going to the beach or want something special for a picnic date be sure to get one of their lunch boxes. The bread is divine, the pickle was seriously amazing and their cookies made me melt! Did I mention that they cater and deliver in the Kailua/Kaneohe area? I feel like this is the start of a beautiful relationship Timmy Tom’s…

Great new sandwich shop just opened up in Kailua right next to Boston’s Pizza. They offer subs and club sandwiches on a french roll. The difference between the subs and the clubs is that they dig out the bread on the subs, and leave it in the clubs. Or if you want the bread left in the sub they’ll do it that way, and if you want it taken out in the clubs they also offer that. If that sounds a little confusing it was at first, but the sandwiched maker was friendly and patient, and explained it well. We decided to get 3 sandwiches, The Vinny(my favorite!), Tuna, and a Luau Club. The bread and all the ingredients were fresh. They use Boar’s Head brand and it has a great taste with a less salt than a lot of lot of deli meats. We all sampled each other’s sandwiches and they were all delicious. It’s strictly a take-out place, there is no where to sit. I hope they put in some inside seating in the future. Oh, and they deliver! A big PLUS!
