I went to get my hair straighten and Vivian the owner is so amazing. I love my hair and I will be going back again. If you want good service see Vivian. It was my first time after years and I am so happy.

Worst Hair Cut Ever! Mary chopped at the back, about 6″ higher than I asked for, then continued around. I am at a loss for words, In my 50 years, his IS the worst experience I have ever had. It was $ 95 for a Cut «not style» and about 8 foils, it is to short to go get fixed. Run or let your kids cut your hair. Wish I could give Negative Stars for them, the man running the place was very pushy after I expressed my concerns. New to Kailua.

I went in for a haircut, I came in with multiple pics… the guy who cut my hair didn’t know what he was doing… had him recut the back and still wasn’t right… he just doesn’t know how to cut hair. It was short on the left and long on the right, lets not talk about the back! He didn’t wet my hair, he cut it dry. I paid and walked to Supercuts where MINA fixed my poor butchered hair.

I wish I could give negative stars for this place. My daughter had long, beautiful thick hair and they ruined it. I am still in shock. The man kept saying he had to thin it out, I said no, asked him to just trim. He proceeded to thin it out to the point it looked straggly and horrible. And short. I finally asked him to stop but it was too late. We are miserable about it, and not sure how to fix it. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A QUALITY HAIR CUT!

A little sad that they were closed on a Saturday at 12:45 when on Unilocal it said they were open on Saturday and took walk-​ins. I really wanted to try this place.

I went to VS Salon based on the recommendations on Unilocal,but after having my hair cut there, I think the reviews are a bit overrated.
I asked for layers with side bangs; she gave me regular bangs that did not go to the side AT ALL! I actually went home and fixed it myself with my own scissors.
The worst part of this experience was not the haircut, it was the shampoo. The stylist man-​handled me in the chair as she was shampoo-​ing me. Her hands were so rough, it was like she was angry at me for no apparent reason. She was pulling and tugging at my hair the whole time; it was not a pleasant experience at all. Also, she somehow managed to shampoo my face and messed up my make-​up during the process.
I won’t be going there again.

Found V.S. Salon on Unilocal.After a horrible hair cut and color at a «chic» place I was distraught. What I liked about Vivian (owner) is I was encouraged to come in for a consultation to discuss my hair needs.
Had a great cut, color and highlights. Since this was the first time to have color and highlights at the shop, Vivian said if I felt the highlights were too light and I should come back in a few days and she would tone it down.
After at few days, I decided that I wasn’t comfortable with the highlights so I went back to get it toned down without charge. Vivian is very personable and knows what she is doing. I am certain to go back.

I’ve tried going to fantastic sams for haircuts and coloring and I’m always overcharged and unsatisfied. I’ve heard about V.S. Salon from a family member and thought I’d give it a shot. I have been going here ever since! The salon owner is very nice, professional, and is very good at what she does. The salon is also really cute and super clean. I’m always happy and very satisfied with my haircuts and coloring everytime I go see Vivian (the owner). People always compliment my hairdo and ask where I get it done at, makes my money worth it! :0)

I came to visit from California and had stumbled upon this salon and thought I could use a hair trim. After the hair trim, I thought that they did such a nice job that I wanted some highlights for this summer look and gave them a shot. WOW! They were professional and conversational and gave me a wonderful makeover.

Thanh used to have her own salon near Don Quijote, but now she works at V.S. Salon (by Ba-​Le Sanwich).
She has waxed my brows about five times now and has done a great job every time. She gets rid of the strays and trims the long hairs, while still keeping a nice shape to the arch.
I had Thanh cut my hair for the first time last week. My hair was all dried out from the sun and heat styling, but I wanted to keep it long. Thanh cut off the split ends and added in flirty, swingy layers that are a breeze to style. My hair is still long, but now it is ten times healthier and looks so much better with all the nice movement from the layers.
I never want anyone else to cut my hair!
