Bagel Beanery is one of my go to places for a quick bagel and coffee. The bagels are made fresh daily and are all very unique flavors along with the cream cheeses. My favorite is the salsa pepper jack bagel with asiago cream cheese mmmm! They also have many different coffee types to choose from and are all delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know!

Excellent food and coffee! This is a quiet and quaint eatery near Chenery Auditorium. Staff is polite and fast! I really could not ask for any more!

decent quick lunch spot. their seasonal soups have been hit or miss. broccoli cheddar tasted sour, but their pumpkin-corn chowder was delicious and full of pumpkin goodness. standard bagel sandwiches come with a pickle and bag of chips.

Honey wheat was outstanding. Hot chocolate… not so hot

A pretty good bagel shop, nice selection. The only issues I have are the difference in the amount of cream cheese on bagels(some are loaded, other times virtually none) and the self serve coffee(the pots are often out).

Ate here after a fun football day at Western Michigan University. I was told that this place has great bagels, and I must say it was quite delicious. I opted for the everything bagel(toasted) with the spinach asiago cream cheese, and it was delicious. They had a good array of bagels and cream cheese options available overall, and everything tasted(and looked) fresh. The employees are swift and get the job done right.

The service was excellent, was created with smiles and they were very helpful and patient to a new customerr. The hot drinks were delicious, not scalding hot! I would definitely go back.

I’m not sure what is going on(change in staff?), but the past few weeks here have been a disaster. Wrong bagel(for which I paid more), toasted more than once(which I specifically say not to), no whip on mochas, and all the friendly staff seems to have disappeared(I have come here for several years and they made a point to know customers). It’s too bad because this was my go-to.

I was sorely disappointed in the service and food today. They had five people working — none were assigned to a single station. The person I presume to be the manager was walking between areas and talking to the employees but not really offering any guidance or observing how long people were waiting for their orders. His apron was filthy. I watched one person slice my bagel, toast it and it sat waiting to be assembled into my breakfast sandwich for FIFTEENMINUTES. Egg and veggie sandwiches shouldn’t take fifteen minutes. While waiting for my bagel sandwich, I witnessed them run out of a blueberry bagel that was already ordered by someone, cheddar cheese that was already ordered by another person and they didn’t add espresso to a frozen drink a third person had ordered. The staff was not clean. They didn’t wash their hands between register/sweeping and making my sandwich. One employee was sagging and you could see his bare derrière. They had no vegetarian breakfast options with egg so I had to ask for mine without sausage and paid full price. I won’t be going back for a long time.

My Arizona Omelette was very tasty and fast. Pressing out my own coffee was a nice touch but every 10 minutes or so, there was a nasty lingering smell of something burning which turned me off a bit. That artwork though!!!

I got the cranberry chicken salad and the marbled mocha. My boyfriend got the all american club and a hot chocolate. The drinks weren’t heated enough(definitely under 140 which should be the standard), my sandwich was very dry, and the girl working was nice but as soon as our order was done started talking on her phone which was very unprofessional. The space is very cute and the bagels are delicious(my boyfriends sandwich was really good), all in all a nice restaurant. I think next time I will get a bagel and ask for my drink to be extra hot.

The bagels are delicious on their own and if you’re extra hungry they have a variety of sandwhiches to choose from. Special shout out to avocado! Glad they have this miracle fruit on hand. I’ve always had good experiences with the employees, but I don’t feel much heart in their cause. Now has half & half! They didn’t they have the real thing when I last went in awhile back. It’s hit or miss as to whether or not the air pots will be full of fresh brew… My luck is usually that I want the one they’re out of and they haven’t brewed another yet.

The food is good, but every time I come here my order is wrong, even when I came in for an iced tea. The staff had not made any and seemed pretty clueless as to what to do, and isn’t apologetic. Every time I’ve ordered a bagel I’ve gotten the wrong one. I used to stop on my way to work, but it’s not worth the hassle.

My husband has a probably unhealthy obsession with bagels since I introduced him to this place. We tend to get the savory flavors(provolone pepper is awesome!). They make good bagels, they’re bready with a spongy crumb and not as chewy crust as a «real» NY bagel but that doesn’t make it less tasty imo. These make good sandwiches/buns which is generally how we use them. The staff has always been quick and helpful for us and I have witnessed them achieving saintly levels of patience with other customers. I don’t understand why anyone would go to one of the bagel chain places when this place is not much more expensive and so much better.

I can’t figure this place out. It seems the bald fellow with the goatee is some sort of manager or supervisor. That said, he seems to have less interest in the business than even the cashiers. I asked ‘Manager Guy’ if the brown colored, smaller than a playing card but similarly shaped blob on my sandwich was actually made with one whole egg. His response was that they do not make the eggs. They come pre-made, pre-packaged and are kept warm in a steam table. He then proceeded to pick up two soggy egg sponges and flop them around in the air between his fingers like two used condoms before chucking them back into the plastic steam table container for future consumption. The best thing about the Bagel Beanery is that it’s only 20 feet away from Fourth Coast and Crow’s nest.

Great Bagels and service. They have great flavored cream cheese. Try the provolone pepper bagel.

Awesome service. I work near by and get the Avo veg about once a month. One time the manager made a mistake on my order and he gave me a free cookie, and a punch card for a sandwich next time. I will continue to support a local coffee and bagel shop that has quality baked goods, and treats customers right.

So, good bagels and juice. The staff was friendly, but they were not patient with my particular type of indecision or questions. The store was empty and they were not exactly excited to answer my question or wait for our decision. Next time I’ll go prepared already knowing what I want to order.

Feeling a little like yeah I want a yummy bagel but I also don’t want to spend a lot or eat crappy frozen bagels??? This is the place! I had the Hangover special which was amazing and after eating and super full I wanted to eat another it was that good. It was an Arizona sandwich(without the sausage but I don’t see how that would make it suck at all, make it better I would think) It was less than 7 bucks with a large yummy coffee. The services was amazing. If your in Kalamazoo its a must!
