Two Men and a Truck

I have used this branch of Two Men and a Truck three times in the past three years. Obviously I would not have used them more than once if they weren’t professional, helpful, and honest.
Every time the movers have done just as they promised, and I believe they are not out to gouge customers as some moving companies are wont to do.
I hope I am not going to move again anytime soon, but if/​when I do, these are the people I will call.

Moved here from So. Cal. I used a local loading/​unloading service in both locations. The cost in LA was half what it was with two men and a truck and the service was half as good here with two men. They didn’t know how to do much of anything, no assembly of beds, nothing. Yeah they unloaded the truck, yippee. I should have just hired two college kids off the street as that’s what they seemed to do. Plus they charge for their drive time not for the actual work they did. By the way they are the ONLY service in town, so if your looking for someone better it doesn’t exist in Kalamazoo. I see the other reviewers all had issues too, no surprise.

They are expensive but well worth the cost. The two guys were extremely professional and moved quickly and efficiently. I have used other moving companies, but these guys are by far the best. You get what you pay for definately applies here.

We’ve used Two Men before (so have our parents) and they do a really good job. I have medical problems and cannot lift or carry anything, especially in the heat so Two Men really take away the burden of moving and streamline the process.
We did have one snag, which started with the estimation of «stuff». I under estimated so a three hour move turned into a 6 hour move. My advice is, really count your boxes, or ask for a representative to come visit your house. On the day of our move our «team» started to get nervous because jobs were piling up and time was running short. The Two Men guys finally farmed out the other jobs and were able to make multiple trips for us which solved our space problems.
The office staff was helpful and accommodating even though I changed addresses three times! The young men who did all the heavy lifting were funny and personable. Mr. MVP and I chatted with them as they worked.
We will be moving again in a couple months and will hire Two Men again without hesitation!

These guys might be the only movers in the area. At least, that’s how it seems to me. I put in requests for quotations to a bunch of companies, and this one is the only one I heard back from. (Granted, the decision to hire movers was kind of last minute.)
After submitting a request online with basic information, I received an email within half an hour from someone at their office asking when would be a good time for us to talk to get more details. We spoke that very afternoon, and she provided me with a quotation right there on the phone and then had it emailed to me immediately after hanging up. I was impressed. I booked, and they said I had until 48 hours before the scheduled time to cancel.
I was provided with a two hour window for their arrival, and they came about an hour and a half into it. Three men showed up instead of two, but it seemed like two of the three were much newer and maybe in training. That didn’t impact the quality, though, and they were all polite and friendly.
It was raining out, and they wrapped my furniture in plastic to prevent damage.
They even helped carry some stuff out to the dumpster, and I needed to move stuff to two separate areas in the building (some things to the apartment and others to the storage area in the basement) which they didn’t have a problem with at all.
For an hour and forty-​five minutes worth of moving, I paid $ 300 by credit card. (I was told on the phone that it would probably take about two hours, so I loved that they were just a bit faster than that.)
There are only two reasons (and fairly minor ones at that) why this isn’t a five star review: (1) they didn’t call beforehand like I was told they would, so I was a little surprised and unprepared when they showed up at my door, and (2) I wasn’t warned (but maybe should have known) that they could only take boxes and furniture. I had a few oddly-​shaped items (bags and things that were too large to fit with the boxes taped closed) that I had to take myself later. A heads up would have been sufficient.
