This was my «go to» Walgreens when I lived in Kalamazoo back in 2004. I had had some problems with this store when I went to get prescriptions filled. They were wrong, staff were rude, etc. I went back yesterday as I had to go home on an emergency basis. My doctor called in prescription for two pills. My mom and I went in and waited in line. A long time. The Pharmacy Technician didn’t know how to help a customer who was having issues with their insurance. So we waited and we waited. When it was finally my time, I spoke to the tech and gave her my name, birthdate, etc. She said they were a little behind and that they could get my prescription filled within 10 minutes. I said ok. The drop off window was closed for whatever reason. They only had the Consultation and Pick Up window open. I came back a hour later and there was an even longer line. The Pharmacy Technicians were having problems answering customers questions/concerns and so the wait was extremely long. A Pharmacist called for assistance. Twice. Finally, a manager came to the rescue. I went and gave my name and birthdate again and they said they didn’t have the pills ready yet. I told them they said it would be ready about 50 minutes prior. He then said it would rush to get it ready. I waited a minute or two and they did call my name, but it was extremely frustrating that they didn’t appear to do anything in the time frame they said they would. I have given them an extra star because I’m not a customer of theirs anymore and they were eventually able to accomodate me and my urgent need, but it looks like they have some issues that need to be resolved.
