Great coffee and breakfast! Not too many places you can grab a quick bite to eat while not spending too much in the Mauna Lani area. We were excited to try this place out. We had the chocolate chip waffle and strawberry waffle as well as a kona drop coffee and espresso macchiato. We weren’t disappointed. We need to come back and try the acai bowl!

Love this place! Great 100% KONA coffee for only .25 cents extra, friendly owner and had a yummy croissant this morning.

Good coffee. Nothing spectacular. Outside tables could be cleaner, sometimes I wonder if they see what customers see. Great location, easy access. Lots of shops nearby. Staff is at work, not exactly welcoming. Just good coffee and next to parking lot.

The trials and tribulations of one piece of turkey. I ordered a turkey sandwich when I received it I noticed it only had one tiny piece of turkey on it. They also forgot the cheddar. I took it back to that brilliant sandwich designer and asked if I could get some more turkey because a turkey sandwich usually has turkey on it. She looked at me crazy and put one more tiny piece of turkey on it. I was so bummed. Good thing there’s a deli next to this amazing sandwich dispensary. I picked up 3 more pieces of turkey from the deli and actually salvaged this poor excuse of a sandwich.

They only use 100% kona beans in their drip coffee; lattes use a different bean. Both were pretty good though. I ordered the strawberry waffle and it was pretty good but could have used some more strawberries. Husband ordered an egg sandwich and he said it was good but not stellar. We might go back if we are just looking for coffee. Pastries were very limited as was the menu.

Great place for a casual breakfast, coffee or a little snack. The croissant sandwich, turkey pesto sandwich, and waffles were delicious! The coconut mocha is a must have! Fruit smoothies were good as well. Avoid the resort places and come here!

Great coffee and great service. I find the coffee to be very competitive in the area but honestly they had my favorite cup on the island after spending two weeks trying coffee at random places on the island.

We visited Kimobean’s a few times on our vacation, as it was in a shopping center in walking distance of our rental. The server was great, we actually felt for the super nice barista because she was on here own! We like everything, and honestly the only complaint we had was there wasn’t enough ice our drinks. Would definitely suggest.

The coconut mocha coffee is delicious! They have a small selection of other treats but the coffee was spot on. I felt badly for the one employee working this morning. She was doing her best but a line quickly developed. They need to get some more help.

I am sorry to say the once-dependable smooth, rich latte has gone by the wayside here. For $ 6/cup including tip, I“m not wasting any more of my money. The coffee was bitter and the almond milk was horrible. It’s the second time I’ve had this experience, and once bitten … ugh.

Coffee is pretty simple as far as menu items go but it is good and the service is pretty quick. There is a nice variety of drinks such as coffee, tea, smoothies as well as a good selection of small food plates that are tasty and affordable.

Unfortunately this place takes the cake for the worst latte I’ve ever had. It was so bad that my wife and I actually dumped it out and cut our losses. The staff was super friendly, but I couldn’t get past the irony of how bad this latte was in of all places, kona, HI. This place caters to tourists who are not coffee snobs. I still can’t get over just how terrible it was! Haha

While staying at the Mauna Bay Resort, this became my goto for morning coffee. Looking for something different? Try the Big Kahuna.

If you want to skip the resort food and coffee this is a welcome sight. I had a delicious bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, everything was cooked fresh right there. You cannot beat a fresh flaky croissant breakfast sandwich. As I writing this I could really use one right now, haha. My wife had a plain bagel with cream cheese, it wasn’t a NY bagel but this is Hawaii! Bike parking nearby and they take Visa and MC(no Amex).

We stayed at the Mauna Lani Pt resort and was not disappointed that this coffee house was the local shop on the resort. Had their iced coffee 3 mornings I was there and a cappuccino one morning. Hit the spot! Great coffee and friendly folks. Mahalo!

While the coffee at Kimobean wasn’t the delicious Kona coffee I was expecting, it was decent and much better than any of the other coffee shops around the area. It definitely has a nice ambiance(I think another reviewer mentioned it looks like a Starbucks inside), and it was a great place to relax after a long day. Some of their items were pretty mediocre, including the Acai Bowl/Acai Smoothie. I agree with another Unilocaler about the acai itself– it seems like they use some sort of sorbet rather than pure acai. Both the bowl and the smoothie were way too sweet for my liking! The pastries and breakfast sandwiches were pretty mediocre as well. Overall, a decent place to grab some coffee and relax close to the resorts. Nothing memorable though.

Pricy coffee but this is in the resort shopping so to be expected. I got the ice blended koko mocha as recommended by the staff. I will say I want disappointed, good flavors. Still not my favorite place on the island but if you’re in the area and you can’t drive to Hilo or Kona for a better drink then this will do. Friendly staff, lots of parking no wifi

Located at The Shops at Mauna Lani. This is a coffee chain only found in Oahu and the Big Island. Ordered: *Surf’s Up Smoothie: POG Juice(passionfruit, orange and guava), bananas, mango, piña colada and strawberries… very refreshing! The smoothie was kinda watery, not thick like the ones I’m used to(Jamba Juice). It was still good though. I would order it again! Service was good and with a smile! =D
