Went in today after searching for a reputable dealer on Oahu. There were lots of places that either didn’t sell gold coins, only bought gold coins or they wanted to meet you in a shady location and deal out of the back of their trunk. This place was a real business front coin shop with extremely helpful owners & great customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will be going back for all future gold/​silver coin purchases while in Hawaii. Thanks!

I have been collecting silver for a while now and decided to sell it off to pay some bills. I work downtown Honolulu on Alakea Street but doing business with the town «coin buyer stores» has never been a pleasant experience. My friend and coworker always tells me you have to go to Allii Coins and check it out. So even though I am literally one street away from a coin buying store I packed up my silver and drove over to Alii Coins. The day before I drove down there I called the store and discussed my situation and the store owner said to come on in. Well, true to his word he remembered my call and we got to business. In a very professional manner he set up each purchase separately to break it down. I thought we would be there for hours. But in a very professional way, he checked the prices and spot price and came up with a very fair price. I am very happy with the manner in which our transaction occured. I encourage all sellers and buyers of gold and silver to take the drive to Alii Coins. I hope to do future business with the store. Thank you very much.

Aloha! I would like to give this review for Vince! I live on the eastside in Kane’ohe and felt I got ripped off for selling non-​used gold everywhere else. Right when I started to lose hope in who and where I could trust. I found an ad for gold buyers on dump road on kapa’a quarry road. Now it was a different guy who owned it back then but he showed us how he did everything and explained how he wasnt one to rip people off and thought that everyone deserve the best price they could get. Now, compared to everywhere else I got estimates from that day, his was an automatic $ 70 more than our highest estimate so of course we went with him. Now Vince took over and also incorporated his own side of the store now in windward city shopping center and promises the same good honest deals. I’ve been there a few occassions already but TONIGHT, my boyfriend wanted to get rid of 2 gold chains and when he went in he got a great estimate BUT as we were in a rush to get somewhere on time, he left his cell phone at the counter. Now, we ran errands, went grocery shopping and didnt realize till we got ALL THE WAY HOME. When called, I was so relieved to hear his voice and to know he kept my boyfriends phone safe. So on top of waiting after hours for a call from us, he also was able to get the transaction done for us since we didnt have time earlier in the day. Vince shows honesty and true compassion for his customers. Im so grateful there are people like him still in this world and that he runs a legit honest business. Excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Brought a bunch of old coins in and asked him to take a look at them. Unfortunately, there weren’t any rare coins in the lot, but he did make me an offer to buy, with no pressure to sell them to him. I took the cash.

I am new to gold bullion as an investment vehicle, and was looking to start acquiring small quantities in the form of coins and bars. After having done my homework, I called several places and Alii Coins and Currency had the smallest markup for gold. His prices for American eagle coins are exactly where eBay pricing is, but you know you are buying it from a reputable source. The owner, Vincent, was very courteous and eager to discuss the nuances of buying gold and silver with me after I told him I was new to it. This was very different from the elitist attitude of the gold trade world that I had up to this point experienced. Parking is ample at the Windward shopping center. He is in the ‘alley’ where oceanic time warner is. Stop by the ATM at McDonald’s or Longs Drugs because this is cash only!

Vince is definitely the personable, knowledgeable, and HONEST gold and silver guy. My «junk» jewelry had some real gold and my wedding sterling silver candlesticks were worth more at Ali’i C&C than selling on eBay. I left with my check in hand and an extra dollar a gram for mentioning the online ad. Then today, another check arrived in the mail. Vince and I had «talked story» with me and he didn’t realize that he forgotten to include the sterling silver hollowware pieces. I’ll go back to sell more.

I stopped off there one day to look for silver and gold coins or bars for purchase. The owner, Vince, is very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve become a regular customer there and he usually has a good selection of silver coins rounds or bars. I am not a numismatic coin collector at all but did notice a wide selection of those as well. I reserved some silver eagles that he had previously ordered and they arrived the next week. The spot price had risen a few dollars during that period but he still honored the original quoted price — very ethical and honest business! Thank you Ali’i Coins!
