Denny’s

Waitress was hella weird. She gave us our food quickly and dug out. When I tried to call out to her to tell her she forgot my sons yogurt, she most likely heard me since the people on the table she was passing looked at me. But she kept walking away. Later when we were just finishing our meal she finally showed up again, charging at our table like she was on fire she put the yogurt on the table and walked off. I called to her loud this time she didn’t turn, she just held up her finger saying wait? And walked off. Didn’t come back for 10 more minutes then asking now that our meal was over, if we needed anything. Freak. Did. Not. Get. A. Tip. And I’m a fair tipper. Last time I come here. I stopped awhile ago cause bull service, wrong orders, and I thought to give them another chance…
close down already u guys suck!

The service here just keeps getting worse. Tonight it was just me and my infant son. Of course he only drinks from the bottle so all I got was a skillet and a side of toast. It took the waitress 15 minutes just to come and ask me what I wanted to drink. Because it took her that long I had already told her that I knew what I wanted to order. 15 minutes go by and I still haven’t received my food. The couple across from got up and walked out because they still haven’t even been served water. Another 15 minutes go by and still no food. I’m sorry I’m not waiting over 30 minutes for one meal. I would take into consideration if there was more than 5 people in my party but it was only me. The waitress was unapologetic and the manager was sitting in the back of the restaurant minding his own business. Another lady was more furious than I was and demanded to speak to the manager… You know what they did to the lady. Make her sit and wait for the manager! Un-​freaking-​believable. I never ever do reviews ever. But tonight’s service at Denny’s was just absurd. BRING BACK FLAMINGOS

I ordered a Ultimate omlet with Mango smoothie after waiting for 15 minutes for the server to come by our table and take our order finally. Brenda was the server and shortly after she brought out a half filled cup of some icy mango sugar slush, I drank it because I didn’t have the heart to tell her it wasn’t nearly worth the 3.75 $ price. And half way through I found black mold ON the inside of the cup.
I politely told my waitress and requested she take it off my bill and all she said was «another one?»
Then 10 minutes later I finally my got my cold omlet that tasted good but obviously wasn’t fresh. Not to mention 2 other couples that came in about 5 for 10 minutes apart from us got their food and check before I even got my food.
Then as I go up to pay I realize they didn’t even take the moldy sugar thing they tried to give me off of my check.
When we finally got the manager to take it off the check, he was so rude, and my sweet kind wife had to say thank you 4 times to even get a wave «your welcome» out of him. We literally tried our best just to give this place a chance.
Terrible experience. Me or my wife will never be eating at that disgusting establishment ever again.

This location sucks. Can’t rate 0 stars…
When we walked in around 1:30pm on Saturday, the hostess were standing right in front talking story. Noticed us, & continued talking, RUDE. I would love to write their names, but none were wearing name tags.
Our waitress took a good 20 minutes to finally come around & offer us water, assuming she was coming off a break & no one was covering her. She was fine. Food was decent, but took another 15 minutes to make just a sandwich & quesadilla? It wasn’t even busy at that time.
Then paying for our check with the hostess, rudest customer service ever. She asked «is that it». I didn’t understand what she was asking, so I asked «what?» Then she asked if I was paying on my card? Obviously if I handed it to you? Then she said it’s because she wants to close her register already? SO RUDE. Never said thank you after or have a nice day, NOTHING. Wish we walked out once it took 20 minutes just to get noticed by our waitress. Never returning.

I must say… I’ve been to this Denny’s many many times. Service has been horrible. Staff putting their finger up to tell people wait. Staff being in the back of the house, while tables go in watered. Wait list that quote up to an hour and the restaurant is empty. No dishes available, ticket times going up to 45 mins. No refills… And etc.
Tonight though completely made up for all flaws mentioned. As a host and server. No matter how rude the customer. We smile and try to make the stay pleasant.
Our server SHELDON; he was attentive, friendly and a ¹⁰⁄₁₀ server. He told us he just came back. He was a great server, didn’t feel rushed or feel like we were an nuisance. For the fact that he was on point, we will return!!!

Okay, this is an update to a review I previously wrote stating that this particular restaurant was Corporate run. Update, their not, it’s actually and still a franchise business.
When I initially stated that it was Corporate run, we were actually serviced in a timely matter, the food was tasty and temperature was great.
We decided to stop by today, I should have chosen a different establishment because today was just not happening.
I dropped my mom, grandson and little sister off then proceeded to park our car. Upon entering, I proceeded to our table being that they were already seated, to which our waitress U’ilani greeting me and ask if she could bring me a beverage, now that’s what I call service!
We placed our order and waited patiently like others in the restaurant… then I started, our should I say my baby sister started noticing other parties who came in and placed there orders AFTER us were already served and their food. Hah!
What’s up with that?
Finally when we did get our food, it wasn’t even hot. I would have complained but was afraid of them doing something with our food before returning to us and we’ve all heard those horror stories of what goes on in the back there.
This didn’t just happen to us also, there was also this older Oriental husband and wife who was also joined by another party who was seated in back of us who also had the same problem of waiting too long and on top of that their complete order wasn’t given to them, I heard them ask their waitress 2x’s about their food this is totally not good for business at all.
So let it be known NO I will no longer patrionize Denny’s Kaneohe. What they need is Undercover Boss from their Corporate Office spend a day there and really see how their name is be represented by this restaurant.

We came in at 445am on a Monday morning. There were two tables, total of 5 people already sitting in the restaurant. Neither had been served and their menus had been sitting on the table obviously waiting to see someone. There was clattering and banging in the back but no one to be seen that worked there. After 3 or so minutes standing at the front, we grabbed our own menus and sat down. While we continued to hear noise out of the kitchen, we never saw a waitress or waiter. After 33minutes, we got up, rather blown away by the lack of service and left the restaurant. While I realize that 445 is not a rush time, there were 7 people sitting in the restaurant waiting for food. Two of them had never seen a waitress. This is completely unacceptable, especially for an established restaurant like Denny’s. I would not return to this location.

Waitress was abrupt and rude. Put her pad away before I was even done ordering and made an exasperated sigh when I said I wasn’t done yet. When the food came out she dropped it down so hard it started my daughter!

I was kinda hesitant to come to this dennys cause of the bad reviews & very little stars. But i tried it anyways. Omg, my ultimate omelet was amazing! So was my iced cappuccino! Our server was super friendly too. Great service. & i think he was a manager, walked to every table & asked how everyone was doing & if he could help with anything. Good job dennys!

This dennys hands down has the worst service on the island. I have bean here on several separate occasions and have never had even decent service. They have a lobby full of people waiting and a copious amount of empty tables waiting to be bussed. The management here is awful and the customer service is even worse. Even after getting Sat down at your table the server still takes 15 min just to greet you. Another 10 minutes to get your drinks and by that time It’s not even worth ordering. You have one job. One job.

Funny story. I visited when I was in hard labor and it was 3 in the morning. Ha! In my pain haze I thought it’d be a good idea to get something to eat before going to the hospital. From what I can remember the waiter was a little freaked out but was very nice. Obviously I can’t remember much about the food.

Friday Evening around 7pm.
Upon walking in my family we were promptly greeted. As it was the dinner hour it took about 5 minutes to get seated, but the first thing I noticed was the smell of stale urine (location was unknown, as the restrooms were clean smelling, but not clean by any standard.) Our waitress (Uilani (may be last name)) was prompt to ask us about our drinks and very accommodating when we were selecting our meal. It took a little long for our drinks to arrive at the table, when delivered my wife’s tea was «murky» and «slimy» (as if the batch had sat out too long.) When asked the waitress gladly replaced the glass and made a new batch. The complementary goldfish crackers given to my daughter were stale (however they were complementary, so I can’t complain, at least the waitress thought to bring them) Upon receipt of food, waitress apologized about tea again, food was appealing to the eye (well laid out), of good temperature, and great taste. Macaroni and Cheese was a little «al dente» but edible. All in all, EXCELLENT service, above par food, below average cleanliness (especially in bathroom) 3.75 stars. Recommend our waitress and cook for promotion or raise. They really «saved» our experience.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve been to Denny’s on the island. We went on a saturday morning roughly around 10am and was seated 15 minutes later as it seemed like quite a busy morning.
We were offered a menu and water while we got seated. Tried the strawberry lemonade and it was to sweet. We had to dilute it down with water. I like that this place offers healthier choice options as I can get a little self conscious when eating out looking at all the calories that I may in take for one meal.
I ordered the Fit Fare Skillet which serves seasoned red-​skinned potatoes, fire-​roasted bell peppers and onions, mushrooms and broccoli on a sizzlin’ hot skillet topped with two egg whites scrambled with spinach and grape tomatoes. It was also served with a side of salsa but I ate mines without it. It’s a light meal with only 340 calories and lots protein for those who are a diet but still want to eat out.
My boyfriend got the lumberjack slam which is like over 1,000 calories. Yikes. But the meal offered two buttermilk pancakes, a slice of grilled ham, two bacon strips, two sausage links and two eggs, plus hash browns and choice of bread which he got buttermilk biscuit. Its a very hearty breakfast but men would probably say, they’re bulking. LOL.
Service was decent while we were dining but our check took foreverrrrrr. We had to stand up to go to the cashier because our server took too long. Our food was good so our overall experience was A-​OK. I don’t go to Kaneohe too often so not to sure when I’ll dine here again.

My recent visit to Denny’s was just delightful! I had this impression that the food would be over priced and low quality — boy was I wrong.
I got pancakes (3x), eggs, potatoes, toast, and coffee for ~$ 11. The price was right! Service was great and I was so happy with the variety in food options and how the choices were affordable.
Good to see an affordable place to eat breakfast/​brunch in Kaneohe.

Had business breakfast meeting which is easy place to meet and a booth makes meeting easier. Service was quick despite being very busy and they kept the coffee coming. Always need to ask for seniors menu if you qualify as they have great specials on it.
One meal ordered was a fit omelet that came with a side of fruit. Kind of weird fruit came out in a coffee cup. I am assuming they ran out of dishes but maybe not. Just seemed weird.
Both meals were very good and well seasoned. Good came out piping hot which always impresses me.
Denny’s always a good standby for breakfast with a great variety of choices satisfying all tastes and appetites.

I’ve come here several times in the past. It’s really inconsistent here. I’ve had a great Lumberjack Slam where all my food items were cooked well and the other times cooked not so much along with crappy coffee. The dessert here is great though. Only reason why I come here occasionally.
My complaints would have to be the customer service here and the level of professionalism. The four out of five times I’ve been here, I had to ask the waiters for forks, knives, spoons, water and for refills. They were never offered or given to me. Also the workers never smile here. Don’t ask for a tip when you give terrible customer service.

We ate here yesterday… This was my first and last time to eat at this Denny’s. I ordered the t bone steak and shrimp medium rare.
It took about 45 mins to get food out to the table. I cut into it… the steak is well done, damn! Sent it back.
2^nd time should be better, right? Nope. Cold on the inside and warm on the outside. Come on… it’s a steak, not rocket science.
Didn’t wanna send it back the 2^nd time for possibility of retaliation. I’m not able to see how they handle the food so… how do I know they won’t drop it on the floor then plate it? I used to work for a few food establishments and I know that kind of thing can happen.
The service was mediocre at best. Never going back to that place again.

Service was great! Food was delicious and pricing is affordable. Didn’t have to wait to be seated and our waitress always came by to check up on us. The restaurant wasn’t busy which was probably why. Food also came out within 15 minutes

When I checked in, I read the reviews and was expecting so-​so service. We definitely waited a long time to be served and they seemed short-​staffed that early evening, but the waiter was VERY nice and the food was surprisingly yummy. I had a fancy chicken salad and it was delicious. The lady at the front wasn’t the friendliest at first, but once I smiled and made conversation, she was nice. Used a gift card… yay.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We sat forever for someone to take our order before we waved down 2 waitresses. While we were asking the other 2 if someone could take our order another waitress literally knocks on our table still chewing whatever she was eating and says, «I’m here!».
My boyfriend’s coffee cup was disgusting. The thick scum in the cup reflects the continuous laziness paying attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
Anyway, after our waitress brought us our coffee she was MIA; actually she was sitting towards the back of the restaurant talking story the entire time. Another waitress served us and refilled our coffee. My over easy eggs were under cooked; it still had slimy white and clear liquid oozing from it.
We’ve never had good service here EVER but after a year or so of not dining here we thought we’d give it another try. FAIL!
We were observing the waitress that served us with her other tables. She was friendly, fast, attentive. Her tables got served fast! So props to her.
