Wow this was such a great UYE that it took me an entire day to recover from the FOODCOMA I was in! Seriously though, buffets are diet killers(unless you’re Gary N and need to eat 4,000 calories a day because you work out so much). The buffet had several types pizza(of course) including a dessert pizza(!), a salad bar, two types of pasta, clam chowder, chicken wings with a little sauce bar! The server was also nice enough to give everyone their own check so there was basically no math involved in the end of the evening when everyone was too full to breathe much less think. As other Unilocalers have mentioned Nadine & Jules had a fun craft project for us all to do and I took mine(and several other Unilocalers) home to finish. I can’t wait to see how they come out(hopefully I don’t ruin them lol). I love our Unilocal Hawaii community and terrific UYE’s like this one just prove how great Unilocal Hawaii Elites are!

As you constantly hear these UYEs are a whole lot of fun, and this was not an exception. Special props goes out to Jules Y. for putting out a fun UYE enjoyable for everyone including the keikis. Jules Y. allowed us to get in touch with our crafty side and it was good. We arrived late sitting at the end of the table with Terrance Y. giving our keikis a chance to meet and play with. We later realized we live down the street from each other. Jules Y. had us excited to do this craft thing, I don’t know what you call it but it sure looked interesting. First you traced the Unilocal logo onto a thin plastic sheet that you color and cut out. Then, you took the colored rocks put them into a tiny jar. To make them pop out a bit, you added a little amount of black sand. Careful, too much and your precious stones are covered. Then, you shrink your Unilocal logo to fit into the jar. Next, seal the cap to make sure it will never open again. Then, you tie your string around the neck of the jar in a square not. Tie your ends into slip knots to make the length adjustable. Very nice swag. You know what the kewl thing is? This is an exclusive Unilocal swag that could only begotten that night. And, that is a very kewl swag to be sure. i wonder what i could get on eBay? We couldn’t wait to eat. We were hungry. And that’s where the problem comes in. Anyways, the food was delicious. I started out with a full plate of salad. Good to see everything so fresh and it’s been awhile since I’ve had a salad dressing I didn’t make. i should say refreshing because they Italian dressing was just that. i saw they had clam chowder and I had to have that. A bit salty but not bad when you eat it with the bread which is a must when eating chowder. It was good even though the clams were tiny and not in every bite. However, the taste of the sea was in every bite and that’s the part I like most. The pizzas were thoroughly cooked that’s the advantage of a brick oven. There was pepperoni, ham and pineapple, meatlover’s and many more. I think I had 6 slices when everything was said and done. I enjoyed everyone of them. Mog P. got the kids to playing a drawing game. Someone would name something fairly easy to draw and you had to complete it within a certain amount of seconds. Simple and yet so effective keeping them entertained while exposing their creative side and improving their hand coordination. Who won? We lost track of scoring and ended up just having loads of laughs and fun. It was another fun filled UYE night for all. Thanks to our hostesses, Jules Y. and Nadine C. for a night to remember.

It was my first time going to Brick Oven. I love buffets and haven’t had pizza in months. I just had to check it out! First thing as I walked through the door I was presented with crafts to make. They were cool Unilocal crafts! The food was good, but the company can’t be beat. Such friendly and nice people joined me for this dinner buffet. Foods available included several different pizzas including a dessert pizza, salad made from pizza toppings, pasta, chicken wings, and garlic bread. Fun times and a great way to spend the holiday!

Very crafty of Jules and Nadine! This was a great get together over pizza with friends and some crafts. The making of shrinking Unilocal on plastic was a fun way to meet people and enjoy the all you can eat pizza buffet. it was a great way to spend King Kamehameha Day.

I was so absorbed in the activity that I forgot to eat! Instead of party favors, games, prizes, goodie bags, raffles, and ice breakers, my fabulous co-host, Jules, provided us with the most intriguing activity ever: Make Your Own« Unilocal in a Bottle»! It may be worn as a bracelet or necklace; or can be used as a decoration for your car or office! During this project, we –Learned to make a Square Knot –Learned to make a Slip Knot –Learned about Shrink Art! — Learned that Jules carries a Toaster Oven in her bag! Too bad the restaurant didn’t allow us to plug it in. We had to bake our creation at home in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes on a piece of foil. Forget the food and focus on the Yeeps! Did you know that Vince used to work where I work now? Did you know that Joanne is going to co-host an awsome UYE soon at an Okinawan Restaurant? Did you know that Gary moved back to Honolulu? For answer to these questions and more, come to the next Unofficial Unilocal Event(UYE)! Mahalo to Joanne, Vince, Jacob, Gary, Cathy, David, Mel wih Mog & Gabriel, Terrance & his 2 cute children for attending our UYE! Most of all, thanks to Jules for organizing this outstanding Art Class!
