The ReSale Shop is the thrift store for people who think they hate thrift stores. Everything is neatly organized, the shelves and racks are not overcrowded, most items have their own handwritten price tag, and there’s no «thrift store» smell. Now all of these niceties come with a price, make that Increased Price, over what I would pay for similar items at any other thrift store I frequent. Did it stop me from buying my daughter a never used sweater dress for $ 4.00? Nope, it did not. I actually ended up spending $ 13 and got some great items, including a super cute Hallmark ornament in the original packaging for a buck. They do have more higher end labels and cleaner/newer pieces, but a Queen Anne style arm chair goes for $ 100 here. If you want to find a diamond in the not-so-rough and/or you’re new to thrift store shopping and aren’t sure if you’re down with it; this is your place.

Ok all, I cannot say enough about this place! I love thrift stores, but this one has to be my favorite! The volunteers are incredibly kind and helpful and work for a fantastic cause, «Operation School Bell.» The Assistance League of KC works with area elementary school counselors to identify students in need and then bring these students into a special«store-like» setting so they can have a great shopping experience. Volunteers shop with the students to help them find clothing, books, etc. Each year, approximately 2,000 students benefit from the work of these volunteers and this assistance league. As an elementary teacher myself, I can’t think of a better place to spend some of my money! On another note, the store is smaller but very clean and organized, and best of all, they are reasonably priced and have incredible deals! I have never been disappointed and always find something for a great cost; whether it be clothing, home décor, kid toys, holiday decorations, etc. Happy shopping!
