Loved the two girls who helped me. Great make up. Not too expensive.

Booked a makeover for my daughters high school homecoming, because MAC was booked… I will have to say, the experience was fabulous! The makeup looked great for the occasion! The makeup stayed flawless all night! Great customer service, and very friendly!

The chicks in here understand customer service. :) I’ve been in twice recently and the first time they were dead so all 3 employees and I had a good laugh while one helped me pick out make-​up. The second time I went back in because my lip gloss was leaking. Easiest and most pleasant exchange ever. Whoever is hiring for this store knows what’s up.

I was in need of some new makeup, and loved the almost as good as airbrushed look that Bare Minerals gives.
I walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and all the staff was busy giving demonstrations to other patrons. Luckily I didn’t have to wait long, and was out in just over an hour.
Them makeup works like this:
Apply your normal moisturizer if you like, then use primer and allow to dry. This feels super silky as you put it on, and gives the makeup extra staying power.
Next you apply the mineral foundation. You have a ton of control over how much coverage you want, by simply by adding more layers of foundation. If at any point you feel like you have too much on, continue buffing it with the brush and it will even out nicely. Adding some bronzer and mineral veil will complete the look. Mineral veil really is the key to giving the airbrushed look. I also tried out their eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss.
The staff was pleasant, professional, and very helpful.
I purchased the Customizable Getting Started Kit which contained the primer, foundation, bronzer, mineral veil, and 3 brushes. So far I’m loving the makeup, but it does take longer to apply than the products I was using before.

I absolutely love this location! I have never had a bad experience! The boutique is small, but perfect! The ladies there are always welcoming and happy to help. I once left with the wrong shade of foundation and it was a super simple process to go and get something different… even after using it for a couple of weeks.
I stopped in the other day and was able to take advantage of their Glammy 20% off special with some friends of mine! We had such a great time. Cookies, cupcakes, and super new products! Jessica helped me and was awesome. After I left, she found a mineral veil on the counter and thought she forgot to give it to me. Without having my phone number, she went to great lengths to get a hold of me. She called my friend that was with me and we quickly found that I didn’t leave it there, she was just be extra cautious!
I would not go to the Oak Park location over the Plaza. I have in the past and I don’t get the same experience. I have even encountered rude Beauty Ambassadors there (on my birthday of all days).
Stop by Bare Escentuals on the plaza… you will be so glad that you did!

Okay, I have been a BE user for over 12 years. I love the product and to have a boutique to walk into is even better!
The Plaza location in a cozy space with more than welcoming BA’s (Beauty Ambassadors) that are more than willing to help. Don’t ever feel discouraged when you walk in. They are totally awesome.
Get a makeunder done by one of the BA’s. You can do a whole look or just concentrate on getting your eyes done… now that is fun. No matter who you get, you will always learn something new. That is the BEauty of BE everyone there shares their knowledge and it never fails, I always learn something new or experience that, «Oh, I get it!!»
There is no excuse. Looking for the right foundation shade? You will find it. Got blemishes you want to hide? Those minerals will do it! Wondering what eyecolor goes with what? Can you say kaleidoscope of gorgeous colors to choose from. There is an assortment of color to choose from. Just stop by and see them!
You may think the prices are high. Think about it this way… when you purchase kits and get those deals… it is so worth it. The product lasts soooo long and does not spoil! How fabulous is that? The product is not filled with all that synthetic mumbo jumbo. Who wants to put something on their face that they don’t even know what it is?

Let’s just start by saying that Bare Minerals is the best make-​up on the planet. If I made a million dollars a year I would still buy this makeup. It is the simplest makeup in the world to use. It is the fastest makeup in the world to use. It travels the best, and is the neatest (as in not messy) to use. If you are not an addict give it a try. My pusher is on the Country Club Plaza. I used to buy it off the internet. You could still do that, but I’m kinda into instant gratification… go to the Plaza and get your fix fast. They will make it fun, and you can be fabulous, just as fast. It can be the full make-​up redo for fun or before a big date/​wedding, or it can be as simple as grabbing what you want off a shelf. If it is your first time, do the full meal deal. You’ll get great tips and techniques, and come out looking simply fabulous «daaling.» Starter kits come with brushes and everything that you will need. I think they are around $ 70. It will last forever. Well not exactly, but probably several months, at least. Not much for the cost of beauty and simplicity. When girls find great beauty tips, we should share. You go girl!

I recently had to visit this store for work. I’d seen it a few times while shopping on the plaza but had never taken the time to go in. I’m glad I got the chance! The place is great. It’s a very small boutique, but very classy.
Elle was the girl who worked with me and she was fantastic. I’ve used mineral makeup before, but am no means an expert on it. Elle was very knowledgeable about their products – not just applying it but also how it’s made, what it’s made of, etc. I went for the full facial and she walked me through it all, step by step. With their makeovers (sorry, they call them make UNDERS here), the associate will apply makeup to one half of your face and then let you do the other side yourself.
The stuff is expensiveI ended up buying the Bare Minerals starter kit which cost me $ 60. But, since I went in January, which happens to be my birthday month, I got 15% off the total. Score!

Definitely not one of their larger locations, but it is still stylish and true to the brand. After speaking to some of the staff it sounds like traffic has been a little slow. I know this must be because no one is aware it is on the Plaza.
Currently they are offering all kinds of consultations for full face or even just eye looks. I am hoping KC women wake up and embrace this line because they are doing some fabulous things. All natural and all mineral, they have won best foundation in Glamour magazine 3 years in a row and they offer a range of shadows that I have not seen in other lines.
