Bad quality food, restaurant not very clean, good service but awkward employees.

The staff and management are always so friendly. I get my New York Steamer with a couple of extras, and they always get it right! Even though 1 sandwich is more points then I get with WW for an entire day, its a nice treat once in awhile!

Great sandwhich shop! They have a nice selection of subs away from the standard Subways of the world, and their brisket sub is one of the best I’ve had from a chain. Having had Planet Sub(lost it’s luster) and Subway(almost everything will start tasting the same after awhile), this place is a welcome departure, and their real flavor comes through in the sandwhiches. Never had a bad experience there, and the food is good enough to keep me returning. Only thing I’d like to see is some healthier menu options, such as lower-sodium meats, as any processed meat is generally sky-high in salt, but I get it, and they do have a healthier selection of calorie-conscious meals.

Food is great. Everyone is nice. Love that they have front flip! One time I went, Got 2 sandwiches and asked for white. Got wheat on both. Not totally a big deal but they need to pay attention more. They always give you a pickle with each sandwich, but didnt get any on another visit. Made me kind of sad, because I love pickles! I go all the time with my friend and I think they didnt steam his brisket like usual. It tasted different he said and not as good. Hopefully they do not make that mistake again.

Food and service both great. Kid friendly fire sure. My kids like that they get a free fire hat with their meal. One of my favorite chain sandwich joints for sure.

Well, our Chloe’s first birthday party was a great success! The subs from Firehouse were done on time and everything was perfect with one exception…(thus the four stars) We requested whole wheat subs and got white, which to some is no big deal, but it is what I requested so… However, everything else was absolutely wonderful from the sandwich fillings to the condiments to the presentation. I will always go back to Firehouse Subs. Love em’ !

No one yelled at me as I came in the door. HOORAYTHAT! I’ve been inundated with coupons so I decided it was time. Based on the not so great reviews though, I was a bit apprehensive. It turned out that I shouldn’tve worried. The set up is a little awkward with two different employees telling me I should go down to the end to order when the menu on the wall is in the middle. I decided on the Italian, in an effort to eat what I thought a fireperson might eat. I was almost ready to leave when I began to examine the great wall of hot sauces. I estimate there to be about 50 on hand. Many of which our own Original Juan’s make! I asked someone how they decide what sauces to use and 3 people offered to get me the website(mustachioed owners? idk). is the site they pick from but I was told to just go to OJ’s lol. I could make a joke about 8 inches of Italian here but I’ll let you do that. What followed, sandwich wise, was a very peppery and tasty hot sandwich, it even made it the 10 minutes home without being soggy. I did pick two hot sauces to go with it in case it needed it but ended up using it on my chips. I spent $ 8.56 for the medium combo before the coupon. On a final note, I had heard a story about a groom that doused his sandwich in a random hot sauce on his way to his bachelor party so heed the directions on that hot sauce station. Always looking for a good sandwich, I’ll try this place again!

Firehouse has been fantastic at accomodating all of our catering orders! I highly recommend the platter packs for any of your events. The owner Joe Garcia is fantastic to work with and has even brought lunch on an hours notice. Thank you firehouse.

I loved my sub, had the Hero Sub — it was excellent — not soggy or nothin. One of the best subs I ever had. Ate the leftovers the next day, loved it.

I don’t hate it, but I often regret coming while I am here. I got a few veggie subs here as a quick, emergency work lunch… Alone. Nobody would ever go with me or even want a(free) sandwich brought back for them. My meat– and cheese-loving coworkers will not go with me because of the sog. Meats for the sub are portioned onto waxed paper and put into a pressure steamer. When removing them, sandwich artists tilt them to drain an excessive amount of watery liquid from the soggy pile. I can attest that their buns turn into unmanageably soggy messes, and apparently the meat is lacking in flavor at that point, as well. Blech. I am vegan, so I get a pretty decent bun(two unattached pieces) with some warm, soggy fajita veggies and fresh LTO. No meat or cheese, and no condiments except for a fiery concoction made from the 20 or so fun hot sauces they have out on the counter. That is a little awkward when it is busy, because the sauces are placed where you would normally order in a sub shop. People tend to queue up here, despite the fact that you won’t order until you make it to the far end. My veggies are usually steamed but thankfully, the strips don’t hold as much liquid as slices of roast beef … or whatever that dark, drippy mess is. My sandwiches end up edible. I think they have a few sandwiches that get toasted and not steamed, as well, so there may be hope. There are always five to seven people in a space that Subway can service with two employees. Generally, all will provide you an aggressive greeting and … nothing else. There is NO way to know who will eventually take your order. Plan to make your way toward the register on the farrr right and place your order with one of the three bumbling folks in front of the register.(By the way, you can fill this leisurely ordering time by returning bored, empathetic stares with employees, enjoying the locally-themed firefighter mural, or perusing their weird, patchy wall menu.) Expect a manager or employee to ask you to donate to some local firehouse-related cause. Do not expect any of them to know the details. In fact, upon exhaustive investigation, it will likely come out that they are funding something entirely unrelated to firefighting. Even if you aren’t in the mood for some Dave’s Insanity sauce or raspberry-jalapeño salsa, you probably want to open your sub before eating/leaving. It’s hard to break them out of their routine and requests for no mayo, extra pickles, etc. do not get entered or passed on. Speaking of pickles, they give you a spear on the side, and they are good enough to eat. Bonus. Overall, the guys at the far left end(actually making my food) tend to be very friendly and sharp. These guys are the reason I leave happy at least half the time. The zombie-like folks on the money end of the counter all seem to have just wandered out of a smoke-filled walk-in cooler in time to fuck up your order, your change, and your day. Hopefully they will take some lessons in quickness and cognition from their meat-steaming, non-money-handling coworkers.

Speaking of places that holler at you upon entering… Upon discontinuing the best sandwich in the place, which was the BBQ Brisket… they are just average subs, average service, average price. Quaint place. Decorated to look like a firehouse minus the dalamation. Kids get little red plastic firemans helmets. I myself would prefer getting the actual fireman.

This was my first trip to a Firehouse Subs. I would put the tastiness and quality a couple notches above Subway, which I consider one of the blandest sub shops. I would say I still like Philly Time and Quiznos better than Firehouse Subs. Being that I have several Quiznos near me I don’t know that I’ll go back to Firehouse.

Yeah it is cute how they yell«Welcome To Firehouse» when you walk through the door, but the charm quickly fades when you are handed a sandwich only small steps above Subway. Now if a shirtless, buff and tall fireman made my sandwich and delivered it slowly to my table, I could throw in one more star. However, the skinny socially imbalanced kid at Planet Sub gives me a perfect 6″ every time. Why stray?
