Donuts were OK. They were a bit crispy for my taste, and the glaze was very sweet. The chocolate icing on the long john was excellent. The selection is pretty basic — glazed, twists, cinnamon rolls, chocolate long johns and a few different filled varieties. I didn’t see any cake donuts.

Brent and Ted must be from Johnson County lmao but THE best donuts in KCANYWHERE. $@&% lamars, dunkin and Krispy crème. I live around the corner and get there right after he makes them. Absolute heaven.

I applaud Johnny’s for holding on all these years. It was not easy for them to stay in business in that area. They could have moved years ago. But but I believe they care. They are very small and basic but they have a range of other foods, not just donuts. There cinnamon rolls are excellent. I haven’t been there for at least a year. But I will return.

supposedly this place is legendary, and yet I just heard about last week. near enough to my house to try out. in a pretty scarey ass neighborhood, you know, the one you saw on the news last night. everything Ted said was right, barso n the windows, bulletproof window, sliding slot where you put your money in and giant sliding slot where he hands you your donuts. Lo from work says their burgers are delicious too. I will have to go back. as far as the donuts go, nothing fancy, mostly variations of the glazed donut, and maybe just a tad too much glaze, but I did like the nice fried donut bit, which wasn’t heavy like lamars, light and tasty. how a place as legendary as this has 2 google reviews, I don’t know, but maybe some of the more snooty Unilocalers could make a field trip? cash only. maybe…

I had a donut craving, and stopped at the nearest donut shop on Google Maps, Johnnys. The windows here are barred and there are abondoned buildings across the street. The building is small and there is no dining. You order behind bullet proof glass and pay through a slot. I was served my two donuts promptly, which was a relief because the other man in the waiting area was splitting his time between making small talk with me and singing at the top of his lungs. He did have a good voice though. That being said, the donuts were very good. The glaze is slathered on, and has a unique taste. Ive never had a donut like it, in a good way. Id like to stop by again, but im not sure that i will.
