Ya know when you sit down and the person who takes the order disappears, you know you are going to have issues. I am allergic to raw tomatoes, and the server tried to talk me into not asking«NO tomatoes». Really? Once we ordered she took off. 2 minutes later some chips salsa and a glass so full of ice I had three sips and it was done. Twenty,(20) minutes later another waitress came by and asked if we wanted the check split. I believe the look on our faces as we were about to walk out showed we were upset. Some other nameless person showed up and asked what was the problem. I started putting my jacket on and then she apologized, and food started appearing.

My husband and I chose to eat at Jose Peppers this evening for dinner. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday with our 2 small children. We were promptly seated with no wait. We have been here many times before, but we were very impressed, on this occasion, with the service we received. I’m going to be honest here, it was a rough meal with our 3 year old and 1 year old. My 1 year old made a larger mess than normal and my 3 year was… Let’s say… More«3» than we’d like him to be. We are attentive parents and made sure to keep them under control, but being a previous server myself, can understand why she could have been slightly annoyed. If she was, she didn’t show it. She was very attentive to our needs, didn’t give any ugly faces to make us any more conscientious than we already were, and gave us great service overall. This is definitely a family restaurant and the service today was fantastic. Their tortilla chips are my favorite. They are always fresh, never stale, thin and crispy. I seriously have a hard time not getting full on their chips! Their salsa is also one of my favorites. If you don’t like cilantro, you probably won’t care for them. But, I do… And I love the salsa. My husband got the Baja Burrito. He said it was delicious and cleaned his plate quickly. He opted for a salad rather than beans and rice. He got their vinegarette dressing and he wasn’t huge on it. I got the #4 combo: carnitas tamale and a taco. The tamale was delicious and I will absolutely get it again. I won’t be getting a taco again. While the chips are always fresh, the taco shell was not. It was chewy and stale. Mine came with cilantro rice and I loved it. I am not a fan of their refried beans as they are too spicy for me. We ordered a Burrito for my 2 year old
