Awesome low-key spot for no frills drinks. Everyone who works here is super friendly. This is my new favorite spot to watch the Royals games. Ps they have TouchTunes

Great bartenders. Super friendly owner. Great drink specials and awesome every day prices. And to top it all off, extremely unpretentious regulars that make you feel immediately welcome. Patricks is one of the best neighborhood bars in Waldo. Located just a wee bit off the main hot spots in Waldo, you will find an older crowd here. An all around great spot if you are trying to avoid the 20 something crowd. And don’t forget the awesome snacks like popcorn, peanut butter pretzels and cheese balls.

Patrick’s is the definition of a dive bar. Small, dimly lit, and always a bar full of regulars. I’ve been going to Patrick’s for probably the last 7 or so years on and off. Everytime I go there I think to myself«why don’t I come here more often». The crowd skews a bit older but that is part of the appeal. The staff is always friendly and the prices are cheap. While they don’t have typical bar food they do have some snacks(jerky, pretzels, mini-pizzas) that you can buy. But, keeping with the laid back atmosphere, they are fine with you running across the street to Max’s and grabbing some food and coming back(for serious, Max’s gyros are amazing). And a review of Patrick’s wouldn’t be complete without mentioning their annual .1k that benefits KC Hospice. It was just last weekend and I had a blast. Pat really goes out of his way to make it a fun event and makes sure that all the proceeds goes towards the charity. For the record, I my time for the .1k this year was about 30 seconds. Which was good considering I had been drinking all day.

Speedy service, good prices. Other than that it reminds me of a bar you’d expect to find in rural Kansas(which to me is a bad thing). People seem to know each other, and some patrons spend more money on Keno than on bourbon and water. Draft beer selection was limited to Bud, Miller Lite, and Blvd Wheat, however they do have some good bottled beers if that’s your thing. There is a small deck/patio. I’ve been to worse places, and I’ve paid a lot more for worse service.

There is no better place than Patrick’s! Great atmosphere. Great service. Great Staff(including Pat). The microwave popcorn is awesome! Coldest beers in town.

Patrick’s is a great local, regular bar with a twist; unlike most«regular» bars, a guy walking in by himself can feel pretty out of place. Not this place, the regulars are very welcoming, and Patrick himself will most likely introduce himself to you and remember your name when you come back. They have a nice deck on the side of the bar for those of you that like sitting outside with your drink or the need to smoke. Prices are reasonable, and staff is friendly. If you check out the walls, there is some very impressive sports items and many pictures with Patrick himself with some local sports legends. Despite the fact that they have«no grill» basic food including a not to bad pizza can be acquired at Patrick’s. The place is not a high end bar, but it is by no means a dive either. Patrick’s does not have a traditional happy hour, but the have daily drink specials after 6. Oddly enough, Tuesday is a really big night for them, so if you happen to be craving a drink on a Tuesday, stop in for some fun.

It’s a regulars kind of place where everyone knows each other. But unlike other bars like this, I didn’t feel the non-regular cold shoulder. The bartender, Mary Pat, was great. She was very welcoming and doesn’t let your drink go dry. The prices were decent except the Irish was on the higher side. I will keep Patrick’s in mind during football season. I would like go back to sample the Bloody Mary($ 3.50) on a Sunday. There are drinks specials every day. With the great attitudes and comfy bar seating, Patrick’s definitely helped start our night off right!

It’s a very comfortable Waldo area bar. It’s not large but the owner is great with allowing groups to use the space. He has allowed me to have multiple fundraisers for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He has live music every 3rd Saturday– Steve and Tracy. They play a great mix of oldies. I agree with Mike, the food is an after thought, but I think that is implied with the name. The pizza is pretty good and the owner usually has events with free food. He had free food almost every Chiefs game last year. Not a crazy going out bar but a great place if you want a chill evening in a fun atmosphere.

I’ve been to Patrick’s Bar and No Grill a few times… I can’t say it’s awful, but I can’t say its great either. It’s just an average place with a little dive bar thrown into the equation. This place is a ‘locals’ place and clearly most patrons know each other and the owner /bartender. The layout is a little odd — the place has about 3 or 4 high top tables, a half dozen or so sit down tables and a 25′ bar. If you want an aerial view there is raised seating behind the regular bar — so if you choose you can look down on the main bar and the rest of the seating. I felt odd sitting up there… Beer prices were on the cheaper side… I think domestic drafts were $ 1.50. Everything else I had was very reasonable. We went after a rainout Royals game and they had 5 beers in a bucket for $ 11 on special — decent drink special. Food was very limited, and it’s more of a second though for those needing to absorb some of the alcohol. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the food unless you’re really looking for tasty beef jerky. It is what it is… a decent divish bar — if your looking for cheap beers that’s your place.

This is a great neighborhood bar. Patrick is a friendly, hands on bar owner. The drinks are reasonable, atmosphere is comfortable and the cleanliness is babove average. Starting to have small groups play and karaōke night. No grill… Great Pizza, Dogs and ??? Nice Place.
